My first gaming system. Using it as my main digital media device. Controllers work well and the device is very versatile. Game play is very good, connectivity excellent, uploading of necessary software for Blu-ray (and other necessary software) no problem. The menu navigation not as intuitive as PlayStation but the versatility, capabilities, capacity and price were all factors in the purchase. I am pleased with it so far.... Oh yeah - NO issues with over heating even after hours of game play.

Great gaming. Graphics are amazing. Setup is a little tedious and takes a whIle. Can't wait to play an actual 4k blu ray

First of all I'm not a gamer, and haven't had a new gaming console in ages. But so far I'm loving this Xbox! Not to mention, 4K movies look amazing playing from the unit. So like I said, I'm not a big gamer, but the fact that this allows me to play games, and watch 4K movies was HUGE plus in my decision.

Loving the military green and the 4k feature looks amazing on my 55 curved samsung tv(: owned a ps4 but i was tired of it and the laggy connections bought a xbox one and it woulds flawless(: the controller is perfect if you buy some fps freeks or thumbsticks. But besides that system is flawless great buy

My family loves this gaming system and the games that go with it are incredibly real in their look. My one warning is that you must have good wifi to even get it up and running. Not exactly sure what the discs themselves mean in the end because they each must be loaded to the system to work. This may be no big deal to many but for those of us who cannot stream due to our inferior wifi options in our area this delayed the use of the gaming system until everything could be loaded.

I bought this primarily for 4k Blu-rays and it does a great job. My friend commented on the movie we were watching and how awesome 4k looked....but it was simply an upscaled Blu-ray! 4k looks amazing on it. If you are looking for a 4k player save yourself a few hundred and get a gaming system to boot.

Out of the box, the setup guide is somewhat misleading in that it shows to install the unit vertically. All of the data, including the warnings in the installation/operating documentations, indicate installing the unit in this manner is a no-no (fiction/fact - you decide, but there is a lot of reviews, ect stating not to install vertically). BL - I installed my unit horizontally with no issues. Xbox did a fantastic job with the newer units. The inputs are plenty, including a pass through HDMI 2a circuit, which can be used to connect you cable box, or another gaming console, ect. When you open the unit (BTW you will void warranty if you do this), you will find a much more robust design than the older units, including a great CPU fan - yes, they solved the heating problem of the older units. Set up was a breeze. It took me a bit to get used to the Xbox 1 interface layout (I have been playing mainly PS4 games prior to this unit coming out) Issues I have noted to date: 1. The Microsoft Bluray Software has some glitches and you may find yourself rebooting the system more often that you really want. 2. The "Guest" account for two player games is still not working, but like most Microsoft products there is a relative easy work around. 3. Sure wish they would have at least placed one of the USB ports in the front of the unit. 4. VUDU software does not support the 4K ultra on this platform yet (my understanding is VUDU and Xbox are working to resolve this as I type). I have not been successful in activating the 2 or more player mode in the 360 emulation software yet (see 2 above - I am sure there is a work around). Having said that, Thank you Xbox for making this platform backwards compatible, at least to the Xbox 360! Overall way-to-Go - huge improvement over past platforms and in my opinion, sinks the competition - Can not wait for the next gen platform!

This is a perfect upgrade to the Xbox One, as it features a relatively cheap 1 TB hard drive and 4k Streaming, as well as a 4k Blu-ray player. It's also smaller if you're looking to tuck it away without taking up the whole TV shelf.

I have recently moved over from the playstation four because it would not support the time warner app. Because of this I moved over to the xbox one s and I couldn't be happier. Along with the high definition the system puts off, the quality of the picture is just amazing. This is a must buy!

Sure sure, the Xbox One S isn't as powerful as the PS4 or the PS4 Pro, but it gives you an insane amount of value for under $300. It's even less if you decide to go for a boring white 500GB version. Here's what you get: You get a 4k Blu Ray Player built right into this thing, let's see your PS4 do that. You get the ability to share your digital purchases between 2 Xboxs. I have an old Xbox One and it's nice being able to buy one copy of a game and having my wife and I both play it at the same time together. With Live you get 4 games a month to play, one one console..unlike the 2 games with PS Plus. Now you don't get Horizon Zero Dawn or weird JRPGs, but seriously, you should already have a PS4 by now, right? This purchase is worth it for the 4k Blu Ray player alone if you already own a 4k set. Oh oh, it does HDR too, if you're lucky enough to have a set that supports HDR and gets bright enough with a wide enough color gamut to actually see a difference.

I bought this over the ps4 at first glance because of the 4k capabilities that it has but also for the gaming. What I really like is all the other capabilities it has all in one system. You can stream movies, music , 4k content etc. and it all seamlessly works! which is awesome in itself.

This system combo was an excellent birthday gift for my son. Being a military family, the OD Green military color console and wireless controller were an awesome choice for my son. Additionally, the Battlefield game that came as part of the combo is one of the hottest games out right now.

I've been loyal to PlayStation for many years but I wanted to give Xbox a try. my new Xbox 1S has blowed the competition out the water, the graphics are amazing, the controls feel way better than the PS4 and the gaming console does more than just play games. I love everything about it.

    Great Game &a Media System

So, I've been a PlayStation guy since the original, and I've had every generation of PlayStation including the PS4. My lovely wife has enjoyed the Xbox for years and is a Halo girl, so for an early Christmas we got the house an Xbox One S. Let me get the fanboy out first. I do think the PS4 is better. Better controller (quality, features, and layout), better operating system, slightly better performance. But that doesn't take anything away from the Xbox One, which is a great system and I really recommend it. There's just a certain flavor to it, and the Xbox One S has the right level of performance and offering of games to make it worthwhile as the sole gaming system in a house. If your friends are on Xbox, or you like the Xbox game offerings, then the Xbox One S is awesome. Add in the great 4K blu ray support and you have a winner... I will say, unfortunately, the media player is a little buggy--but not enough to break it. Go ahead and pull the trigger, you'll love it.

Good Upgrade from the Xbox One

The Xbox One S is a great upgrade from the original Xbox One, especially in its size. The limited edition green color on the Battlefield 1 bundle is a very dark shade of green- almost a dark gray. That is good as it blends in with my black TV stand a lot better than I was expecting.

The XBox One has lived up to our expectations. It was easily installed and connected to the internet. It took longer to download than expected but the download had no problems. The graphics are greatly improved over the Xbox 360 and we couldn't be more pleased with this product.
