Unless you own a 4K TV it's not worth upgrading just for 2 TB storage!

Wow this system is so much smaller and no more power brick i ended up buying 2 of these systems one for me and another for my brother. I donated my original xbox one to someone less fortunate so they could enjoy it instead of trading it in for a measly 150 bucks. The 4k upscaling is pretty good and 4k bluray movies are jaw dropping. I cant wait for the newer games to come out that supports the hdr for my tv. If you dont have a 4k tv amd already have an xbox one id wait to upgrade when you buy a 4k hdr10 tv or wait for the xbox scorpio. All in all I would highly recommend this system im enjoying the few new features and im sure you will to

Very nice design but if you are like someone like me who is buying this for the 4K UHD bluray player then DON'T!! Some 4K blurays will not play on the xb1s. I didn't do my research and sold my Samsung k8500 for this and I regret it. A lot of people are having problems with the 4K bluray playback read up on this on Xbox forum before you buy, very disappointed in Microsoft on this one!

I bought new Xbox ONE S the day it came out. It was defective so I had to exchange it because it constantly would load a game or app and then return to the main menu, that started on day one. Went on online after a few days and saw that there was a few people with the same issue, one person was on there 3rd unit. It was unplayable. Best Buy happily exchanged it and purchased the extended 2 year warranty.

Amazing upgrade and best console I've ever owned!

I got mine yesterday and I still can't believe how smooth this thing is. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the detail out into it is amazing (such as the little master chief symbol on it). It's incredible how much smaller it is compared to my old Xbox. It's still whisper quiet like the old Xbox One, but somehow manages this with an INTERNAL power supply (did not believe this was possible). It's the only console that has 4k video playback, and HDR to boot; goes perfect with my Samsung 8000 series 4k HDR TV. I was planning on buying Samsungs true 4k bluray player a month ago, but that's $400! The Xbox One S has insanely more value. The controller feels more streamlined and refined than the original (which was already one of my favorite controllers for PC gaming) and has Bluetooth included. Supposedly it's more powerful than the original Xbox by a small margin as well, according to professional reviews, but I have yet to test this. Rating 5/5 stars, easily my new favorite console.

The set up was really easy. The new chassis is smaller than the previous version of the XBox One, and it looks sleek. The best part is that the new machine is also an UltraHD 4K Blu Ray player. So not only can you play games, but you can watch the UltraHD 4K Blu Rays.

My 2nd xbox one died just past warranty. Needed to get something to hold me over till scorpion. I know I'm a sucker...go playstation! My one star is for xbox and their warranty. 90 days on a repair? They should stand behind a repair ($135) like a new product...1 yr.

    Great purchase so far

Great purchase so far. Like many others love the 4k feature. Played a older movie to test the upscale and it definetly helps. Does NOT upscale games. I'm sure it'll b awesome for future games. 2tb makes a huge difference. I had 500 gigs before and what was 97% used on that Xbox is now only 15% on this new one. If I had to gripe about something it would b the controller just because they made it seem like it was a huge difference but it's not although it works just fine. I never got the Kinect so it not being compatible was not a issue for me. Definitely a great upgrade overall.

A great all in one entertainment machine!

Improves on the original Xbox One in many subtle ways, smaller design, more energy efficient. Built for 4k video output, with apps like Netflix and Amazon Video. Also has a built in 4k blu-ray player. I do not yet have a 4k tv but when I purchase one in the next year this machine will be ready for it! The ONLY complaint that I have with it is that more color options should be offered, however, it is still a very sleek looking box that makes almost no noise at all. I am glad that I purchased this and I definitely recommend to anyone who is considering it. Xbox has made so many improvements to their product since initially releasing the One 3 years ago, with Games with Gold, and EA Access, and the best online service Xbox Live, I do not see how this system is not outselling the PS4 by a large margin! Also, Xbox no longer requires a Gold membership if you are not much of a gamer and are only interested in using it as a streaming box for Netflix, HBO etc.

I bought this product the day it was released and was surprised to find a large number in stock. I never cared for the Kinect so the phasing out of that part of the product didn't bother me in the least bit. The 4K graphics are great on the Samsung 4K TV I have the system hooked up to. I'm a big fan of the expanded hard drive capacity from 500GB to the new 2TB. Overall, I am very happy with this product after having used it for the last two and a half weeks.

Upon purchasing this model of the xbox one S the 2tb model makes game managing much more convenient as well as the smaller space and speed improvements for all of the respective disc based and download based games
