Missing its better 1/2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to simply upgrade my XBOX One which I use for my entertainment platform. Out of the box it is incompatible with the Kinect because, apparently, you need a special adapter, which they will give you for free if you send in serial numbers and blah blah blah... Or you can pay for one if you can find one... none available through Best Buy that I could find. So, out of the box there is no "Xbox On" "Snap to Tv" or any of that stuff. If you don't use Kinect it might be right for you, but at the "plugging in Kinect" stage of installation, the XBOX One S is going back in the box for a return. It seems to me to be a gross miscalculation on their part to leave that out.

Ridiculous downloads!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an Xbox 360 I would have been better off just getting the Xbox one instead of the Xbox One S for starters once hooking up the console and turning it on it literally took an hour to download updates I purchased one game which was Tom Clancy's The Division it has been downloading for the past 1 hour and 20 minutes with only 29% complete even though I have a physical copy of the game you still have to download it to your hard drive in order to play it which means that you will have wait times anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours before you can actually play that particular game it really sucks I wish I would have never purchased this

No HDMI dedicated to HD Audio output

Not the best upgrade

The major downside is that it doesn't offer much from the original Xbox One, nor are you able to use the kinect any longer unless you purchase a USB adapter, which takes up a USB port that you could have used. I returned this unit and kept the Original One. I will wait for Project Scorpio.
