The pure fact it's smaller and 4K sold me.. I could deal with it being black a lot better but overall it's the same Xbox one.. but I have a 4K television so I can take advantage of Netflix & Amazon 4K streaming and buy overpriced UHD discs..

I had the first Xbox one when it came out and loved it but once this one came out I had to buy it. I was debating whether or not to upgrade but once it did it, i didn't regret it. This Xbox looks better and is much faster. It upscales any movie you play on it. A regular DVD looks like blue ray and blue ray looks even better. 4K is awesome as it is. Love it

Bought this for the 4K upscaling and for hard drive space. It runs much smoother than my day 1 edition and looks fantastic when used with my Samsung SUHD TV. Worth the money if you want more space and have a 4K tv.

I decided to upgrade my xbox as soon as I got news of the new slim coming to the market. Its overall better in every way. Much more quiet, its smaller so it fits on my table better and looks cleaner. I almost bought a blue ray player but heard this has one built in. Overall I'm very satisfied and if you like gaming I recommend it.

this xbox is great it took all the flaws with the previous ones and fixed them. The power button is an actual button, so no accidentally hitting it and its smaller which means quieter! The best part is it came with 2Tb hard drive so I won't have to by an external drive like my last one.this is perfect for the beginner to the pro.

This is a good product once I got everything transferred over. The 2 TB hard drive is a GREAT addition and the 4K output is convenient as well. It has a 4K Blu-ray player so that alone made it worth the purchase.

I have had for the last 3 years an xbox one and have loved every moment of it. When I decided to trade it in for the new 'one s', I have to say I am really impressed. Not only is the hardware upgraded, (in which my favorite feature of this being the upgraded network adapter for 3 times the download speed!), is how lightweight it is. It is also a plus that this stands upright, in which to me was the best design when they came out with the 360 originally. Overall this is a great system, and fingers crossed for Project Scorpio to be a success, (if you dont know what this is google is your friend!), because if it is then this may be the first console microsoft implements their own VR gaming experience on! This was the last deciding factor for me to get this system just knowing that I could already be ahead of the gaming world for consoles in the microsoft realm of things and not even realize it right now! Point being, whether you have an xbox yet or not, I would definately recommend purchasing this system; it is a very worthy buy/ great investment for any gamer out there!

I mainly purchased this as a 4K Blu-ray player. The cost of a 4K player alone is close to the cost of this system. I couldn't be happier I decided to purchase it. Graphics and 4K movies are STUNNING!

Not only is it smaller but it streams and allows 4k movies. This is the whole reason I bought this. Overall I love it.

The slim is smaller, less noise, and faster. Add to that the 2 TB had drive and HDDR - what's not to love- maybe a Titan Fall version

Been a Playstation fan since the first gen until I had a run in with customer support that wasn't helpful at all. Sold it. Got this xbox after reading reviews, and I gotta say that I'm impressed. 2 TB AND no power brick, as that was my biggest issue with xbox back then. Team Xbox from now on.

I took my time hoping that Microsoft would roll out a fix for this problem before I posted a review, so I could really be sure I was giving this product it's due. Unfortunately, I've had it awhile now, and the glaring issue has not been fixed. The controller randomly disconnects while you are playing! I'm assuming it has something to do with the wifi or bluetooth signals because if I don't bring my iphone near it, it seems to happen less often.
Let's start with the pros:
Small size is really nice
New controller feels more robust in your hands
No more power cord brick, it's internal now!
Backwards compatible games keep being added!
It can connect and control my older Samsung TV and sound bar
Cons:
The controller disconnects often for no reason!!
No noticeable performance increase from previous version
Only available in White (Where's my Halo 5 Colors!?)
It needs a lot of huge updates and if you don't have a fast internet connection, you will be waiting a long time
I went with this one because I wanted the larger hard drive, and smaller footprint which both are really nice to have. If they would just fix the disconnect issue which is well documented online, then this would be a great piece of equipment. I almost went with a PS4, but the Xbone has backwards compatibility and that is really important to me. I don't want 6 gaming consoles so I can replay my favorite games, I want one or maybe two under my tv.

I usually prefer play stations but games and movies look pretty good on this and I like the smaller redesign. I just love that Microsoft put a 4K blu ray player in this can't beat the value. Only bad thing is it is slightly louder when playing 4K movies. The bigger Xbox was super quiet.

If you are willing to spend the extra money, the 2TB is the way to go. Installing games can add up quick and the 2TB version will help with that. Great design and whisper quiet.

For the sake of future-proofing, I would still go with the Xbox One S. The faster processor may not have an effect now, but games that come out later could take advantage of the beefier specs. And while nothing has been announced by Microsoft, support for the One S will likely last longer than for the original Xbox One. And if you’re set on having a media station look well designed, the Xbox One S looks far better than its predecessor.

I had to decide on the amount of memory and I am glad I went with the 2TB. The graphics are great and the amount of space, even though it is only 1.6TB, is still lots of space to store game progress and download new items. I also like the fact I can control everything one place.

This is the console Microsoft should have released from the get-go! Extremely powerful console, quickly rendered; fluid graphics. Quiet, yet swift performance. A humongous amount of space. This console has it all and they finally got rid of that annoying, heavy, power brick!
