I bought these originally for our family when we might go camping. We never really had a chance to use them. This past weekend, our dog was lost on a mountain and we used this to coordinate with each other. We did not have cell phone service, so it was really helpful to have. Range was great! Good quality! Easy to use! The one thing to be careful about is attaching it to your waistband. We lost one because we were navigating really thick brush and it was attached to the waistband using the clip provided. You may want to attach it through a belt loop.

So far so good. Works well. Haven’t pushed the range limits yet. My only issue is when I set my walkie down next to my car stereo, it tends to pick up static from my radio as if someone’s trying to communicate with me

Excellent sound, range, and custom user features. I got these to communicate with friends when off-roading, and have not had any issues with them at all. Much more affordable than some others, yet still provide a lot of the same staple and necessary features. I have only had them die on me once, and it was probably because I did not charge tham at all between a string of three consecutive outings. The battery indicator is misleading. They read as full battery, but they obviously were not. Even when they died on me, letting them sit for a few minutes and trying to turn them back on the battery indicator read full again. Just keep them charged or charge them up right before going out and that won't be an issue.

Purchased these 2-way communication radio for the outdoors, hiking and camping. Great Range of up to 28-miles! Clear communication, easy to operate, and easy to dock inside the included charging cradle. The added USB charging option is also a great addition from the older models.

My family needed a way to keep in touch on a trip moving from one state to another. While we could've used our phones we wanted to use our phones for GPS in the event we individually got lost, along with the fact that cell signal could potentially drop. Plus a radio would be quicker instead of starting up a call. Seeing as we'd keep close to each other we chose to use Radios. As this comes in a three pack and has a decently large range, we went with this. With three vehicles we traveled over the highway closely together. The radios worked quite fine, even in instances where we'd be separated a bit. Naturally there's some noise but it only became an issue if you fell behind by quite a bit. Overall they had good battery line and good range.

I go through a set of inexpensive radios about once a year for camping/fishing/hunting/ATV'ing. I've stuck with Midland brand, as they've been better than cobra and Motorola. I usually buy the smallest ones they make, but needed some in a pinch so I got these. I bit more expensive, but are better than the lowest models with no sub-codes. These have some nice features, talking and hearing is very clear and goes a pretty long way, even in steep terrain and deep woods. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this model of two way radio from Midland. They are definitely an improvement over the lower models.

    Great little radios for traveling

We used these radios to travel as a group together up in the backwoods of Minnesota and Ontario. I have no idea how the manufacturers can say that it's a 26 mile range, after about a mile on the interstate and backroads that was about it for range. When not traveling at highway speeds and on the lake it had a range of about 2 1/2 miles. they worked well within those smaller areas but once you got out past a mile or so it was pretty broken up. If you were going to use them with scouts and they stayed within a mile of the camp, it would be fine, anything outside of that range, you need better communication tools.

We used these as we were moving from Wisconsin to New Mexico. It made communicating with the second car/moving truck much easier without interrupting the gps. Only complaint is the battery life. They lasted roughly 3-4 hours which in itself is good, but we were on the road for 9+ hours at a time

These radios worked perfect in the woods. I bought them so I could communicate with my bro in law while hunting because cell phone service is nonexistent where we go. Good range and easy to use with gloves on. I also bought the in ear cable so volume wasn’t a huge deal. These radios have amazing speakers that can be loud

These walkies provide a great value and are easy to use. I purchased them so I could teach my wife and kids the basics of communication long range in case there were an emergency. They're also convenient at a fair and of course camping.

I didn't read the instructions upon buying these. They were bought as a test baby for inter-office communications. When they are paired with the headsets; made by midland as well; they are flawless. 2 way communication, talk on the channel and it will sense your voice if you want it to. Want the local weather? just push a button. 28 miles away? no problem. definitely would consider buying these again, and I probably will. They come with a recharging stand and if you lose that, just use micro-usb to recharge them.

These Walkies are Great. The have great sound and great range. We use them when we go camping which is often. My wife usually stays at the RV and go hiking with the dogs. Since we often don't have cell service when camping, the walkies allow us to stay in touch. And since they are rechargeable, they are always ready to go. Very happy with them.

I bought 3 sets of these for a trip to the Olympic National Park with my friends. One day we went on a hike up one of the mountains, and having these worked perfectly since we didn't have cell service. And doubly so as a couple folks in our group didn't feel well so we were able to stay in contact the entire time. I would recommend having regular AAA batteries along with the rechargeable, they seem to last longer than the rechargeable ones from our experience.

Great budget walkie talkies. I got these for the family to use while on the cruise. Got good coverage on the ship we were able to coordinate using these. The island has good coverage as well. The coverage does depend on how far away and what floor we were on the ship.

I bought several sets of these to pass out to hurricane victims in Black Mountain, NC when hurricane Helene destroyed the town. They were absolutely vital in making communication easier when the networks were down. Highly recommend. Very functional. Thank you!!
