Radios function great i have used them only over 200-700 yards. Very clear. Bought them to umpire polo on horseback. The vox function has very long lag time makes it hard to talk back and forth freely to my other ref. Earpieces I bought Are all but useless as the fall out. If you will not rely on vox i would recommend them.

Using them while coordinating loading of roofing material using a helicopter. Range is very good. They have worked well.

We use these around campgrounds and for clear assistance in hooking up our camper. BUT, do NOT expect the range to hold. Not even close. We lose communication at about 1 mile, sometimes 2. And its a fairly clear area too. If you have semi distant but local need, this is great. If you’re looking for anything further away, this will likely fail you. Because of our use, I only dinged a couple stars.
