Midway There’s a new film coming out November 2019 so I needed to find the old version Best Buy had it in Blu-ray it’s fantastic and now I can hardly wait to see the new film coming out this November great cast I’m sure that the special effects are going to be amazing.

It has been along time since I have so many stars from my past. This story told the cold hard truth about the difficulty that our men confronted in the Pacific. They were the turning point for America.

Absolutely love the history of WWII and wish network tv would return to the good old days of showing movies of historical importance instead of all the garbage they show these days!!!

Not historically accurate in a lot of scenes. But it was well done, good acting.

The battle of Midway was the pivot point of the Pacific conflict in World War II. When I saw a new 2019 movie of the story was being released, I wanted to see this 1976 classic version first. This version is a great war movie. It's not historically perfect but it's very entertaining. It's not better than the 2019 version, but equally as good. And it has Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda. What more could anyone want?

I think that "Midway" was one of the greatest classic war films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films. I really enjoyed all of the action and personal drama that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that this film had a really great cast, plot and personal storylines as well.

Historical and action packed. Mostly based on history (some sub-plots are fiction) - showed how the US really "got lucky"" at Midway - tides of war. It also showed how important cryptographic intelligence was and how it gave us the edge... great movie.

Upgrading my WWII movie collection so this replaces my DVD version. Kind of hoping it doesn't come out in 4K because I don't want to buy another version. Don't know if the 'love' story was based on any actual event but don't think it added anything and could just as easily been cut but that's just my .02.

Video dramatizes the battle for Midway Island in June 1942. Actual video from the battle and clips used in Tora, Tora, Tora are mixed with footage produced for the movie. The video features a cast of characters both stars in their own right at the time of filming, such as Henry Fonda, Charleton Heston, Robert Mitchum, Glenn Ford and up and comers like Tom Selleck, Christopher George, James Shigata and Steve Kanaly.

This midway is action packed with great war footage from the most pivotal sea battle of World War II. Loaded with stars and even a cameo from Tom Selleck. See if you see him.

This is my favorite WWII movie. So many great actors!! The director used actual war footage clips. This is a great movie. So many brave men fought & died for our freedom. This movie does a wonderful job portraying this!!

I remember seeing this movie in "Surround Sound" in the theater when I was growing up. Blu Ray quality brings back those memories due to the excellent picture quality and sound.
