Customers praise Minecraft for its engaging gameplay, creative building options, and ease of use, making it fun and entertaining for players of all ages. Many appreciate the game's non-violent nature and the value for the price. However, some users mention challenges with the controls and the need for an Xbox Live subscription for online play. My son loves it. I got him setup in creative mode and without and XBox Live account he is going to town and building :-). Great to play on the big screen. Highly recommend. He still enjoys playing on the iMac but I have to say there is something to playing on the console and on the TV.

This is a very good gaming choice for people with an Xbox, it has great visuals and comes with mini-games that are loads of fun to play by yourself and with friends. It also has amazing multiplayer quality that doesn’t make the game lag or glitch while playing with other people. The game also allows you to be creative and teach you to balance and save your resources while at the same time go on awesome adventures and get creative building structures. Another good advantage is that it teaches you a few parts of architecture like measurements and area. I recommend this to people of all ages that like to be “out of the box”.

I purchased the Minecraft for my daughter for her iPad initially. But then I found that the game version had MORE than the iPad version. Why? Idk. But my daughter has unleashed this massive creative side that we didn't know existed. She would spend hours building (if we allowed her to) and creating different worlds. If you need something to occupy your child....heck, even yourself...get this. We play together sometimes, supervising each other. It's great for Mommy-N-Me time.

This game is literally endless fun for your kids. They can always build something new with the different map packs and it allows them to use their creativity to create just about anything they can think of. For adults or more serious gamers it doesn't offer a lot since there is not really any structure or goals to meet. There isn't any missions, you would have to buy story mode for that. But kids seem to love this game and I promise your kid will as well.

My 7 year old nephew showed me this game and it's amazing as to what these kids know these days. Super fun to build and play. It was easy for him to understand as he has it on his android tablet. Much better to see it on the big screen TV.

I love that both of my sons can enjoy this game. They are 19 and 13. It's not violent and they use mathematic skills and engineering methods to build houses, forts, camps, farms, etc. Really inspires your imagination!

My Grandson plays this game for hours at a time, and comes back day after day to play again. Possibilities are endless, and you can always start over if you get tired of what you have built.

It's nice to see a game that uses some analytical skills to accomplish goals, throws some obstacles at you, and is not loaded with violence or swearing.

I have this game on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One digitally and it's a great game for relaxation and fun. It has online co-op as well as split screen. The game very easy to play, while having multiple areas to explore that can increase in difficulty if you choose to play that way. I brought the disk version as a graduation gift for a child with autism. He loves the game so much, the he plays it everyday. More so than the other games he has. If you want a nice, fun, and relaxing for you, your family, or loved one, this is it.

I'd definitely say that this is the best version of the game to buy, and I say that for a few reasons: - Microsoft now owns the rights to the Minecraft franchise, so Microsoft consoles will be getting the game updates (which include new features, items, worlds, texture/skin packs, etc.) first. - When compared to the Xbox 360 version, this version features sharper graphics, more players per world, and a more vast/infinite landscape/ceiling height. - Unlike the PC version of this game, the Xbox One version easily allows for split-screen couch co-op that will allow families/friends to build worlds together. I never thought I would advocate for a couch co-op game again after the Xbox 360/PS3 generation of consoles truly revolutionized online multiplayer for consoles, but this game actually allows for a seamless and unobtrusive split-screen experience that brings Minecraft multiplayer to players that prefer offline play. Overall, other than the lack of mods that are available to PC players, the Xbox One version represents the complete package for Minecraft veterans and newcomers alike. I've heard lots of people complain that there aren't enough family friendly or game-night games on the new generation of consoles, but I think that this game can easily be in each of those categories.
