Nothing like a John Hughes movie, It's too bad the Blu-ray menu isn't a little more attractive, it's juts a poor still from the movie, wish they had some Extra's or a commentary by at least one of the actors or anyone that worked on the film. It's a great remake of the original a Miracle on 34th street, only John Hughes touch could make this better then the original I think. It's a fun Christmas movie for the family and friends.

When this John Hughes remake of the original Miracle on 34th street opened in the late 90’s it failed to find an audience. It deserved better. Now 20 years later thanks to home video/DVD it has found its place as it’s own classic. Great performances from the adult cast and a wonderful job from child star Mara Wilson it a must watch every year along with the original.

I will agree with most that "the original is the best", but this more recent re-make is a great experience that is well cast and produced. Offers several doses of hilarity as well as very touching moment (especially the Santa/deaf girl scene). This Blueray was offered at a wonderful bargain during Black Friday extended sale, and I was glad to get a copy at that price. VERY easy to recommend this film to others . . . and I already have.

While I am partial to the older version, this update of the classic is pretty good as well. We had the black and white version and have always watched that every year, but my wife hadn't seen this version in a while and wanted to add this one to our holiday collection as well. It has been some time since I've seen it and it was fun to watch. Purchased at a great price too as Best Buy!

I thought this was a good remake of the original. The actor they got to play Santa was awesome. He pretty much made the movie. Of course, no one can replicate Shirley Temple but Mara Wilson sure delivered an astonishing performance!

Disc was in perfect condition when it arrived, packaging intact. This is my wife’s favorite movie and I was so lucky to find it here and on sale and it arrived just in time for Christmas.

I have watched both vintage and recent versions of this great film, and both are very well done. There some minor alterations to this newer version, which make the story just as interesting. It still carries both happy and emotional scenes just as the earlier 1947 edition did, and the acting is well done. I liked both well done version, but my favorite is still the original version.

The original is a bona fide classic, obviously, but few remakes do nearly as well as this one in coming close to the original in spirit, acting, and outright charm... A worthy update at a good price that can easily be appreciated on its own merits as well...

Love this movie! It's such a classic and so well done. Highly recommend! It captures the heart of giving and love at Christmastime rather than the focus of the gifts themselves. I've loved this for years and so happy my children now enjoy watching it as well!

Have not watched it yet but it is a holiday tradition. Great service can in a timely fashion and in great condition. Thanks for allowing those on limited budget to be able to afford all movies.

This is my family's second favorite Christmas movie (after "White Christmas") and it always proves to be the same heartwarming retelling of the original each time we watch it. It doesn't compromise the magic of Kris Kringle or the Christmas story. Watch it!

One of my favorite Christmas movies. Picked this one up at best buy. It comes with a nice holiday slipcover. Blu ray disc only no digital code.

This is a great remake of the old classic. I actually enjoy this one a little more. The Blu-ray version of this movie is very good and the transfer looks great. FYI: there are no extras on this disc; just the movie.

One of the greatest Christmas movies of the last thirty years. Owned it on VHS, then DVD and now Blu-ray. Waiting on the 4K version next.

I've watched a couple of different versions of this movie, but this version is by far my favorite. The characters, the acting, and Richard Attenborough is the perfect Santa. This is a must have for your holiday collection.

Probably more of a 3.5. Good performances, but nothing better than the original. There are a few things I like in this version [SLIGHT SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD]: Santa is given an even stronger reason to bop someone with his cane, but at the same time, it's still Santa losing his cool to the point of violence and it also turns the rival store into more of an evil entity instead of just being crafty competition. Plus, I like Santa's use of sign language instead of a foreign language. Courtroom Logic: I think the original's "letters to Santa" reasoning works better, with the newer one basically being "you don't question the existence of this, so why question the existence of that?" ... as if that's something that could actually hold up in court. Yes, it's a movie about Santa being real, but that doesn't mean all reality and logic should be thrown out the window! Still enjoyable, but with reservations.

Absolutely love this movie! Couldn’t find it anywhere but thanks to Best Buy I now have it! A must have for every Christmas season.

Great movie and excellent Blu-ray release with loads of bonus content. Highly recommended purchase for all. 5 stars!
