This only lasted me about 7 months before the wifi card crapped the bed, and battery would not charge rendering it a paperwright. Well before that happened, the trackpad and cursor became possessed and had a mind of its own. Disabling trackpad and every other troubleshooting solution I could find in settings did nothing. The only reason for 3 stars is it is very lightweight and I loved it while I was able to use it.

Beautiful display and premium feel. Had to return my open box order because the screen was wobbly and showed too much flex when in tablet position. Long term build quality is a concern.

I know a lot of people have had negative results with this Chromebook, but I have nothing but praise for it, even though I realize its limitations. With normal work I get about 7 to 8 hours of battery life and that includes surfing the web, writing, and light photo work. The quality is outstanding and I haven’t had any problems with it overheating. The screen is amazing and it acts as a great tablet when needed. Of course the color is incredible, and this is my fun computer, when not using my Mac or Dell XPS .

this computer is perfect for me to go back to school. i had been working 30 years as a truck driver and tore my achilles tendon. having done that i decided to go back top xchool and i have been using this computer for that it's truly perfect for my classes

Good overall but battery drains due to the 4K screen. The screen then starts to slow down and overheat.

I am happy with this Chromebook. The screen is bright and this is one of the fastest Chromebooks of had and I've had a lot of them. The only surprise that I encountered was that it didn't have a USB plug. That was my fault for not reading the description. It was easily solved by getting a Bluetooth mouse.

This is one of the fastest chromebooks on the market. The build quality is amazing. Battery lasts a full day with regular use. No complaints.

First of all, this laptop is absolutely beautiful. From the way it looks to the quality of the image on the screen, this is one great looking laptop. That being said, that's where the good qualities end. As others have said, the most disappointing feature is the battery life. Right out the box, I charged the laptop all the way. I started it up, once fully charged and still plugged in, and went through all the initial steps. Then I had to go to class. With the screen at about 50% battery life, I had one window open and was using the webcam for a virtual class. The class was an 1 hour and 15 minutes. This laptop, which brags an 8 hour battery life, needed to be charged in less than an hour. Now, I'm not foolish enough to believe that I was actually going to get a full 8 hours of use while on WiFi and transmitting video, but less than an hour, on a full charge, at 50% brightness? That's ridiculous, especially for such an expensive laptop. Unfortunately, that's not even where the negatives end. The laptop is sluggish in responding. I was in the settings, trying to set up the keyboard and it stopped responding. I could still get it to respond to some commands, but when I put a cursor in a text field, it wouldn't stay there or let me type. The pen is a great idea, but again, didn't work properly. Using it to tap only works about 80% of the time, which is incredibly frustrating. If you flip the screen around into tablet mode, cool. Want to flip back? You need to restart the computer as it doesn't work smoothly. The fingerprint scanner works about 25% of the time and can't be used to unlock the computer or sign in, only to authorize purchases. Also, it only has 2 USB-C ports, so you can't use a wired or wireless mouse with it. As I write this review, I have the brightness at 50% and nothing open except Chrome and only one tab. It took me 13 minutes to write this review and my batter went from 81% at 11:27 PM and is now at 73% at 11:40 PM. If you get 13 minutes for every 8%, that's just over 2.5 hours, assuming you only want to use one tab in Chrome and not stream anything or actively use the internet.

Had to return first unit because the Chrome OS frequently locked. Would be 5* review except battery except battery life is at most 5 hours ... less than my 2 year old Google Chromebook and not much better than my 4 year old Samsung

I’m getting used to the Chrome based format, and really love the ability to use use apps as well. Being able t sync with my Samsung phone’s messages is a really nice feature, too.

I kind of have a mixed review about this computer. Its great for schoolwork Its light and compact Its Very Fast Although, i experience a problem where sometimes my screen will turn black and you will have to restart the computer, not the biggest problem but it gets annoying Since the processor is chrome os, i find trouble downloading software for many things, linux apps is good but it is tough to work and a lot of sites do not include the encoding to use in linux apps. I suggest a macbook or a microsoft surface over this laptop, UNLESS you are using it for strictly schooling or work. Then it is an excellent laptop.

I purchased this Chromebook during a Best Buy promotion at 50% off. It's well made, good performance and incredible screen resolution. The 4K screen impacts battery life but the display is worth it. It's difficult to justify the purchase at full price and Samsung would sell out if they adjusted their pricing.

Amazing piece of gear. Build quality is insane. Display is ridiculously crisp. Speakers are decent. My one issue is the spacebar. On the machine I received you have to hit the bar exactly in the middle, and with a great deal of force, in order to register a space. This is a HUGE inconvenience. It's so bad that I'm hoping it's a manufacturing defect isolated to just the chromebook I received. I'll be returning it and ordering a new one.

Very lightweight, doesn’t weigh down my daughter’s school backpack. The intel core i5 processor makes this a great laptop.

1. Very compact and light. 2. Nice thin bezel display 3. white key labels are impossible to see 4. Flat top keys have no touch-based finger tip centering like normal slightly cupped key tops. This turns out to matter qute a bit. 5. The combination of invisible key labels and flat top keys make the keyboard useless.

Fantastic built, great hardware ... very delicate, any hit and will show. Great for small things or all things' browser based (since it is a ChromeOS obviously) but manage the browser memory efficiently.
