First time trying a chrome book. Took me a while to get use to since I previously owned a laptop that ran window 10. The biggest thing I would look into is the battery life. It doesnt last more than 5 hours and I use it for school. The quality of the screen is beautiful!

I love the color and it's thin frame. It does heat up so I would suggest to have a laptop pillow/table for your lap and the battery doesn't last very long so always have a charger close. As far as its functions I am satisfied, for the work I need to do the chromebook gets it done ie. documents and zoom. The keys are light and the keys light up when it's dark.

Lovely chromebook. Responsive. Excellent 4K display, though at the cost of battery life (4.5 - 6 hours depending on brightness and activities). The active pen (s pen) is quite nice, especially from someone who is used to the Samsung Note.

Light weight and a fun color but computer gets really hot and battery doesn't hold charge for very long. And when I open computer. I have to sign in each time because it didn't shutdown right.

The galaxy Chrome Book is an awesome and well designed device that feels light and premium in the hand. The build quality is amazing. It is perfect for travel, casual internet surfing, light work loads, and entertainment consumption. However my particular unit kept having a Google Chrome issue out of the box where the browser would crash and say it had to recover. I tried following the directions to the site to recover or redownload the browser with no luck. I have even had to restore the device to factory settings which seemed to work for a short time but again still crashed multiple times. Otherwise without this software issue the device is high quality and very comfortable to use in a conveniently small package.

The build quality is excellent. It feels really well built and slick. The screen is amazing, probably the best i have seen on any laptop. It does run a bit hot and the battery life isn't the best.

The Samsung galaxy Chromebook is probably the most beautiful looking chromebook made to date. High-quality beautiful 4K screen, excellent keyboard, and then that battery just took the wind out of its sails. Almost a repeat of the previous version Macbookpro, where Apple in their attempt to make thes slimmest laptop, cheapened the keyboard mechanism. Samsung did a similar mistake here by under powering the battery and overpowering the Hi-Rez display. Bad combination resulting in very poor battery life. They could have made the resolution somewhat less, and also the laptop body a little thicker to accommodate a larger battery, but someone on their product management team pushed for thinness instead of battery life. A mistake.

Summery says it all. Best screen ever on a chromebook, maybe on any laptop. Excellent keyboard/ trackpad, tons of storage, & all the memory a chromebook could need. What not to like - battery life! I work from home so it is not an issue for me but for someone out & about all day, big issues. Guessing maybe 3-5 hours battery life tops. No all day battery life here. You will need to charge it, maybe more than once. Still , I love it. Beautiful device at least in the Red!

What a cool device, build quality is amazing. The display is simply exquisite. Battery life is not very good. If you plan on using it mostly at home I would say get it. But if you need a device that lasts longer than 4 hours go a different direction.

Love it. Got an open box and so far found no issue. It does last around 8h when used for viewing powerpoints, watching videos. Tried to game with it with NVIDEA Geforce now, and it works fine but ofcourse it battery doesnt last long that way and it gets warm. Fps of Dota 2 is around 70~79. The main reason for my purchase though is for school work and it has been outstanding because switching to tabs, surfing internet, and the like is lightning fast. Boot is like 5 seconds. You can shut it down everytime and it wont matter because it boots fast.

Overall, I love my Chromebook. I don't ever use it for 8 straight hours, so I don't really worry about the lack of all-day battery function. My advice to any potential customers is to not lose the Stylus. I've spent hours working through Samsung support, and apparently no one thought to do a run of spare styluses (Styli?) for customers to buy should they lose the ONE removable part of their new high end Chromebook. Ended up buying one on Amazon. Its the wrong color, and juts out about 1/4 inch from the body. Love the Chromebook. Hate Samsung support.

We purchase chrome books and ipads for our service and sales professionals. Recently, online schooling caused all the Chromebooks to be on backorder. I needed a Chromebook quickly and this was the only one that would be available soon. It was a few hundred more than we normally spend but we've been very happy with it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an advanced version of a Chromebook. Not ideal for a child or person who's going to be tough on it. It's lightweight and I'm curious how it would hold up if dropped but I won't try it.

I wish I can give 5 stars, the only drawback and it is a big one, is the battery life. It checkmark all the goodies that Chromebook offers, and it has Samsung premium build quality. However, the battery only lasts about 2-3 hours of use.

I have to admit, this is the first Chromebook I've ever touched. Everything you've read about it being gorgeous and having a beautiful screen--all true. It's premium Samsung quality all the way. But I cannot believe how much less useful a Chromebook is than a Windows laptop! For the same price you could get a really nice Windows laptop with higher specs and that does more. I know every platform has its fans and no doubt Chromebook fans will love this, even with the reportedly abysmal battery life. But I returned mine, it just was not useful for my needs. Even if all you were doing was watching Netflix and surfing the net on it, you'd get more for your money with a windows machine.

First off, evaluating based in sales price, not listed price. I found the battery to be much less of a problem than most, because I mostly read on it. When mostly reading with dark screen, battery lasted a long time. Reading apps worked very well, screen was beautiful and pleasant to the eyes. Perfect for a primarily reading device. I did not like the aspect ratio, screen was too long and not wide enough, and it was floppy. When closed chrome book was secure and made very well, but when open and sitting on my lap or a chair without a table, screen was wobbly on the hinges and annoying to use, particularly for typing or using the pen. All in all a very good device when on sale.

Love the feel and look of this Chromebook. The 4K screen is absolutely amazing and extremely clean and crisp. I have had no issues as far as the Chromebook being able to handle multiple instances of Chrome as well as more than 6 apps open simultaneously. This is my first Chromebook to own and I have been more than pleased so far!

This Chromebook is fantastic! Beautiful screen, zippy performance, premium build quality, it has it all! Looking to see how battery life is handled in this puppy. It seems that other reviews say that it isn't stellar. However, my use case would be mostly at home so, this doesn't really bother me. This comouter will be able to handle pretty much whatever you throw at it when it comes to day to day tasks. With an i5 processor and 8 gb of RAM, you can expect to fet work done, quickly and efficiently. For the price of $599 for this model right now, this is a STEAL! Don't listen to other reviews who say that the device is too good for what it needs to be. They aren't helpful nor does it make sense to write if they chose to purchase the device. This device is for people who want experience Chrome OS in a more premium package. If you can overcome the battery life, this is for you!

    Not comparable to a pixelbook

I have 2 of these chrombooks. And they would get a better score a few years ago, but google has such nice chrombooks with with pixelbooks that I expect more from Samsung. I bought this one for the fingerprint reader, but it doesn't work! I think it's not their fault, though. Chrome hasn't enabled that feature probably. However, the main problem is that this computer keeps going to sleep when you don't use it. to wake it, you have to do a forced shutdown and then power it back up which may take a minute. it's annoying if you're a power user. Also, something wrong with the apostrophe. it shows double quotes instead of single quotes. Have to press shift to get single quotes. I don't use the pen either. I think that is a waste unless you like to doodle. Also, it gets severely hot sometimes when you are recharging it. I think it has to do with those crazy samsung batteries. Overall, it's a good computer compared to other non google brands. it has a sleek feel and it's very compact. Also, the paint job is beautiful. it also has a dense feel and it's nice to carry around. it's been reliable except for the problem mentioned. I've never lost any data, but i do have to restore web pages, but it remembers every time what pages i was on. Overall, a good computer, but compared to google pixelbooks, it's only average.
