This being the 2nd MLB The Show to be released on the Ps4 so far, it definitely has the best, and most amazazing close-to real-life HD graphics and fluid-like gameplay that makes this the best MLB The Show to date, and in my opinion the best baseball game ever! Maybe even the best sports game ever! I bought the MVP Edition which comes with a collectible steel case with a baseball image on front and back, and also PSN vouchers for free downloadable content! Besides everything that's great with the gameThere are just a few minor gameplay options, actions, and/or different choices that either changed, or aren't available with this year's edition, which aren't big enough of an issue to disrupt my enjoyment of playing the game, or make any long-term negative impressions! If u like baseball even just a little bit I guarantee that you'll really like this game and won't be disappointed in your decision! 2 thumbs up, and a big thank you to MLB The Show 2016 for being the most consistent, greatest, most real-life sports game ever to be made so far!

New molds better upgrades better graphics better everything over 2015 version. I would recommend her for any baseball fan.

The road to the show and diamond dynasty are awesome this year

Rec'd game today from Best Buy online - on the release day! Kudos to Best Buy for the freakish new standard speedy in deliveries. I honestly wasn't expecting it until several days after the release day. Very Impressed. MLB the Show 2015 was widely considered the new benchmark in baseball gaming and it has unquestionably been stomped by MLB The Show 2016. Diamond Dynasty has returned with loads of new features, Conquest Mode, Hall of Famers, new legends and career years for those same legends. Road to the Show also returns and, as in previous years, with the ability to port your Hall of Fame bound character to the new game along with new upgradable toys and trinkets in addition to the old stuff (for instance, you can now use stubs for say a compression sleeve in addition to items from last year such as new spikes, bats, etc.). Passive/consumable perks and "Show Time" are new features in RTTS and can be disabled if you feel going all Matrix-like and "slowing time" is a bit unrealistic for your tastes. Game play remains seamless and smooth. I wasn't expecting a huge graphics upgrade, but couldn't have been more wrong. The graphics and texturing have been set to a new standard and completely worth the price for the new game, alone. I can't reiterate how impressive the character models, environment, stadium details and animations are now. The only thing missing is the smell of hot dogs and beer. I was already chomping at the bit for the MLB season to get underway - this has just made the wait that much harder. A no-doubt, walk-off, grand slam by Sony San Diego.

Sadly, MLB only licenses for The Show so there isn't really another comparable baseball game. That being said, this game is not only the best baseball game I've every play, it is the best sports simulation game as well. It has so many legs to stand on. The online component is rich and deep. The only negative is the sometimes clunky connection issues but far superior to The Show 15. The new animations blow away anything done previously. This game looks amazing! Sometimes you really feel like you're watching baseball. The issues I had last year have been fixed. Many of the fielding errors cannot be attributed to clunky animations, connection issues, or bad camera angles. This is not a game a beginner will pick up and start enjoying immediately. It takes a lot of grinding to be a great hitter and an especially well rounded pitcher. I really like the difficulty because it forces you to rely on strategy more often than brute force. You won't hit home runs every game so you need to focus on stealing and bunting. It is quintessential baseball and that is why I love it. The best baseball video game franchise keeps getting better. From the graphics to the sound, and especially the 'little things', this game delivers. Very few developers are as consistent in sports gaming like SCEA-SD. They truly capture the chess game of the pitcher vs. batter, refined fielding to give it more of an impact, and that photogeometry for the stadiums brings the game more to life graphically than last year. The additions to Road to the Show, where you do not need to exit back to the menus to advance games is a fantastic addition. Sounds of the Show is back so you can have your custom stadium and batter walk-up music, the licensed equipment also adds to the overall realism. They truly are the best in the business. The game just oozes baseball.

2016 MVP The Show is Fantastic! From the initial loading/install everything is a welcomed improvement. The greatest characteristics include the graphics as well as the ability to modify your participation in the game, from fully automatic (just swing the bat or pitch the ball) to completely manual (modify pitch type, how to run the bases, where to throw the ball, etc...). It's exciting for EVERY skill level, from a novice/first time user, to any MLB The Show fanatic!

I really enjoy playing this game. It's pretty realistic looking. My only complaint is that sometimes it won't allow you to challenge close calls made by an umpire. You will get the notification that you can make the challenge, but when you click the appropriate button nothing happens. This does not happen all the time, but it shouldn't ever happen. Even so it is a very fun game to play.

I love the graphics of this game and how it brings out that love of the game for all baseball fan. I love the graphics in the game, and how playing the GM mode make you take control of the team. I love how you play present and historic fields. This is a great game that should not be pass by all baseball fans.

MLB 16 the show is an amazing game with awesome gameplay and graphics.

This is by far the best most complete baseball game on the market. If you like baseball I feel like in depth general manager maneuvering and live drafting this is the game for you. The gameplay is smooth the AI works well and I look forward to playing every year. If you like baseball buy this game.

I have always enjoyed the MLB the Show games and this year's version is no different. The game play is very good, the graphics amazing and the Road to the Show mode is even better than before. It is a fun game to play both on your own through your career and with friends.

If you're a fan of sports games, (Madden NFL, EA NHL, etc.), this is legitimately the best made sports simulator there is. Menu's are easy to navigate, Diamond Dynasty is the best it's ever been, reward system actually feels rewarding....if you're a baseball fan, you're probably aware that this is the only legit baseball game on the market....yet somehow, it's still an extremely well made game. I give props to SDS for having zero competition and actually putting a decent amount of effort into their games year after year. I seriously wish SDS just made all sports simulators, I cannot imagine how incredible NHL and FIFA could be. Lots of game modes, tons of gorgeous ballparks, a good majority of the players actual look like themselves, and an active and surprisingly fair marketplace for when you really get into Diamond Dynasty. If you're a baseball fan, must have. If you're not....it's still the best sport emulator available.

This series just keeps getting better. I can understand why year after year this is THE baseball for consoles. The game looks as real as you can imagine. I feel like I am actually at Wrigley Field watching my Cubs take on the rest of the National League. GREAT game!

The Show has been the gold standard for console baseball. This year brings improved graphics and animations. Diamond Dynasty is where it's at. This years MVP edition comes with less extras than last years. Didn't really care for that. The steelbook is very nice.

The Show is hands down the best baseball game. Even if 2k was still out I would continue to play The Show. Graphics are awesome, franchise mode is extremely fun and road to the show never disappoints. Highly recommend any baseball fans to get this game.

it is a lot better then 2015 but it still has its kinks in it.... I like the new feature of being able to play against your friends with your diamond dynasty team... many new features and many new players even with rookie cards.. great game

This is probably the most complete version of the show since it's inception, period. The graphics are improved even more with the physics based rendering, the dynamic weather (shadows creep in if you're playing an afternoon game), over 100 plus new fielding animations make the gameplay feel more authentic than ever before. The new additions to Franchise Mode and Road To The Show make it even more addictive and enjoyable than ever before. And the new mode Battle Royale is like a dream come true for me ( I always wanted a fantasy draft team to play online against others). But what impressed me the most was the online, the online play still stutters ever so often but the parity between offline and online is the best this series has ever had. Not a perfect game, but this one is a no brainer for baseball fans!

I was so pumped reading about all of the new things they were adding this year to dynasty mode and road to the show and other mini games. All of this stuff would be awesome if it all worked. There are several bugs that need to be worked out and it is just a little disappointing that they add new things and then they don't work like they are suppose to. Still a fun game and will be even better when they get the bugs fixed.

I love the MLB Show series and they don't let you down. This is the best baseball game to date yet and they always keep making it better. Glad Sony has the rights to them! Easy to learn and play.
