This is a cute enjoyable turn base DRPG that can help tie a person over that is waiting for the next "Big" title. If you're the type of person who enjoys games like Demon Gaze, Etrian Odyssey, or the Persona Q, you might find this budget style DRPG enjoyable. I will admit it doesn't give a person a wow factor like the others mentioned, but it is enough to calm that dungeon style itch until you find something better. Is it worth full price? Not in my opinion. Luckily for me I got this game free from Best Buys Buy 2 get 1 free membership deal promotion on the switch games. I say only spend the money if you're getting this at a good deal, otherwise there are so many better titles currently available.

Not a replacement for Etrian Odyssey

This game was supposed to tide me over ‘til Atlus got back to making Etrian Odyssey games. It has okay music, the art is good, but the game has some oddities. The menu is bizarre. It seems slightly complicated to equip gear, it’s just not in a laid out well. The first three spots in your party are front line and last three are back line. You cannot change this and the game isn’t very straight forward in telling which classes this might benefit or if it’ll be detrimental to them. You get some clue but the stat changes are absent. The character creation process sucks. You chose your portrait first… and they’re in no discernible order. Some have alt color schemes, some are from other games by the developer, but these legacy characters aren’t all at the end of the list (they’re sprinkled in throughout). Then you name the character and chose the class, followed by rolling a dice as many times as you like to get skill points for the character. The game says there’s a 1% chance to get 16 skill points but you can get 17 (maybe more), and you can roll as many times as you like… you’ll be here a while. I waited for over a year to play this, it’s not a replacement for Etrian Odyssey. It’s okay, it has decent challenge, but it’s not indicative of the reason that a niche crowd loves their DRPGs.

A good game, but doesn't really do anything to make it stand out besides the long name and the "it's okay to die" mechanic. It is fun to see what ranking and loot you get,as well seeing your stats grow (can even max stats later) and the ability to reallocate stat points, change class, appearance and few other things at any time. If you like Etrian Odyssey, you should have a good time with this game if you don't mind it being a bit easier.
