Good sports movie and good movie to watch in the spring before the baseball season starts.

It's hard to make a real life experience appear as good in a movie, as it happened in real life. This movie exceeds that! This movie is based on a general manager (Billy Beane) (Brad Pitt), and an unknown kid (Jonah Hill), that challenged all that baseball has known since its begginings, on how to evaluate talent. It is NOT a boring statistical movie, even though, on the surface, the subject may seem that way. The real life trials (no one wanted them to succeed) and triumphs (a division championship & and MLB history making 20 game winning streak), allow the film to enthrall the viewer in a plot that seems as though it could only be "made up" in a hollywood tale... but infact it REALLY happened. The acting was fantastic, and the story plot lets the viewer understand what they went through, to make history, not follow tradition, and succeed.

Would definitely recommend. Well told story and I loved how it changed the game.

This film I did like, however, the first 20 minutes of the film were slow; kind of boring actually, but afterwards it picked up and you got to see how baseball was run back in 2001! Was nostalgic because that's when I was in college and it reminded me of a lot of things during that time regarding film and baseball. The DTS HDMA 5.1 surround sound is pristine and the sounds of bats clashing and slow motion are superb and the picture quality for MasterED IN 4K overall very good, although I had to change some color levels and brightness on my 4K UHDTV but overall no major issues. Definitely a good film!

A look at baseball behind the scenes instead of on the field makes for a very entertaining film for baseball fans and so-so baseball fans alike. Statistics are used in a new and different way to help build a small market team against the established big boys of the sport. The field manager of the team is not convinced that this new way of building a baseball team will work. For the results you will have to watch the movie. The Blu-ray AV quality is excellent. The extras offer up some interesting supplements.

I love this movie. It was and is so good to me. Brad P is great, he definitely has a variety of range as an actor and this movie helps showcase one of the few sides he has and can achieve. This was a movie that always grabbed my attention and when I finally saw it I loved it I had to have it. I finally purchased and im glad I have it in my collection. You wont be dissapointed spend the cash few bucks

Awesome! Brad Pitt is at his best - I like most (but not all) of his work. In Moneyball he truly shines as Billy Beane and Jonah Hill - (Peter Brand) is amazing. Odd thing is, I can't get tired of this movie. My ex-roommate stole my first DVD copy of this and I bought it again - that's how great this movie is. Trust me - if it sucked, I'd have an absolutely GREAT time telling you!

Another great Black Friday pickup for a great price of 3.99. A great film, exciting, funny and a very interesting sports story. The acting from all the main actors, Pitt, Hill, and Seymour Hoffman is all top notch. Not a big action movie but still has great picture quality and a decent amount of extra features. If you're a baseball fan or just a fan of good films you should pick this up.

I love this movie more each time I see it. I got this on a fantastic Black Friday sale (thank you, Best buy!!); I'm so glad to finally own it. Aaron Sorkin's writing raises the viewer's level of interest in the subject matter, whatever that may be. He draws you in with emotion and encourages you to learn more. The blu-ray will ensure that my multiple future viewings remain peerless.

I enjoy baseball movies but have never been interested in the business side of the game . . . until I saw this. Surprisingly, I found this a fascinating look at how a team is put together and the effect it has on the field. Add the fact that it's based on true events and it's even more amazing! If you haven't seen this, you really should give it a look - I enjoyed it a lot!

Really loved this movie. It definitely shows an insight on how a general manager’s different approach to making key decisions can make a successful organization.

Honestly, I didn't expect that the subject matter would make for a great book and even more so, a movie. Wrong on both accounts. I recommend reading the book first and then seeing the movie. The film does the movie justice by being well cast and not deviating to far from the book. Will be a spring training staple for years to come.

Excellent movie. Purchasing it Best Buy is the easiest way to acquire it; therefore, I only use Best Buy in purchasing all of my Blu-Rays, DVD' s and music. Excellent business to work with.

Any true baseball fan will enjoy this from start to finish. It's a solid inside look into what an underdog team looks like on paper. But with a little confidence, fire, and hardwork, the underdog changes it's color into a winner that believes.

Brad Pitt is great as Billy Beane, but the strength of this film is the storytelling genius of author Michael Lewis, and the supporting cast that transform the book into a great sports flick.
