First off, a lot of the current 1 star reviews aren't reviewing the game proper and rather are complaining about either damaged packages or late deliveries so do take those with a grain of salt. The gameplay is very fun and has its fair share of challenging moments, the story however feels very half baked. I know a lot of people don't necessarily play Monster Hunter games for the story, but for those who do care you might be left disappointed. The story starts off pretty decent and showed some potential, but then it just felt very rushed to the point that a pivotal character in the plot flip flopped back and forth on whether they wanted to hunt or save monsters so quickly with no time for the proper character development to happen to justify it that it culminates in a rather underwhelming finish. I get that story is not the main focus of this series, but to see something that could have been great get squandered like this was a bit irritating.

Like others, my Pre Order was delayed from Friday till Yesterday 3/6/24... So far, game wise, I love it. The case came in normal condition, and I didn't notice any damage to it. It's a fresh take on the mechanics of the game. I was a Greatsword guy in Worlds, but Longsword and Dual Sword are incredibly fun here. The crit mechanics are really nice. Overall, aside from the almost week delay, I got what I ordered without any more worries.

I just want to say i dont know whats up with all the low reviews, if you have an issue with bestbuy go leave a review on google not the game haha. With that out the way, i just want to say this is my first experience with monster hunter games. I’ve seen them in the past and always passed, but decided to lock in to Wilds. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!! Ive been putting so many hours into this game, i love joining random hunter’s lobbies and assisting with the Monsters. The game looks beautiful on my PS5 pro as well. The music and combat, gameplay is all great as well!

Monster Hunter: Wilds is a solid new title to the franchise and decent entry point for new players. Combat is fun, the environments are interesting, and the monsters are creative. Unfortunately the game’s reward loop is stunted by lazy copy and paste armors, an issue which never existed in past games.

Over all, a very good game! Might be my game of the year for 2025. Only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is due to the game feeling like it's significantly easier than the previous two titles and their expansions. Not necessarily a bad thing, as it's one of the most approachable Monster Hunters since World. While I'm not looking for 'Dark Souls Hard(tm)', the game's Wound System kind of takes away from the franchise staple of having to not only master your weapon, but learn the monsters and their movements or attacks to time yours for the best hits. Instead now you just spam wounds, staggering the monster constantly. It still feels good to play, but there doesn't feel like there's as many 'aha!' Moments as you find your groove with your weapon and the monster. Still an excellent game, great for first time Monster Hunters.

Great game and graphics. Playing with friends with shareplay helps save some money

I've been playing since the first MH game, and I have enjoyed every game realease since! With Wilds, it's very easy to learn and the mechanics are simplified for new players. I thoroughly enjoy playing Wilds with my wife and I like how easy it is to do multi-player.

This is much better than mon hun worlds with the binoculars allowing you to see large and small crown monsters. Very fun and very exciting game with the dual weapons and mount riding.

I brought this for my teenage son. He hasn't stopped playing it since he got it. He loves the gameplay and graphics.

I have put about 10 hours into the game already and its amazing! Love it. Different mechanisms eith online play but overall easy to adjust. The only complain i have is that Best Buy doesnt do anymore midnight releases. Those were the best when other big known games were released. I wish they would do that again.

I am a fan of the franchise. They definitely improved on everything that was good with the game. The only downside, in my opinion, is that you need PS Plus to take advantage of the online features.

Outstanding game! While long time monster hunter fans wont like how stinking easy this entry is, it is a great entry game for newcomers.

Its always fun to hint monsters but adding the seikret jumped it up considerably. It was always annoying to get around maps but the seikret makes it fun

Fun game, there has been many “Quality of Life improvements” over Monster Hunter World. Lots of rework regarding some weapons, making them feel more responsive. The graphics and sound are great and the handler is actually useful now besides “being the quest board”, rather than irritating one from MHW.

Bruh, if you’ve every played a Monster Hunter game, this is a MUST buy for any fan. But it’s also amazing for beginners to the series! Graphics, gameplay and an assortment of so many weapons and armors will have you spending endless hours hunting. Super recommended.

If u like monster hunter you’ll like this game. I have a little issues getting use to the controls but still good.
