    these are much better than the Rocketfish connectors I first purchased; I returned those and purchased the Monsters (more expensive) and am satisfied.

    ...on your speaker input/Amp output. The Gold plate isn't there to make the plugs look pretty, it's there to avoid oxidation of the metal,and provide a smooth surface for the signal (which is carried on the 'outside' (including on spkr/connection cables) otherwise Silver (a better conductor of electricity) would be used, silver, however, tarnishes to quickly.
