    Good, but could be better

    I'll say this: when compared to having no mobile insurance or a carrier's insurance plan, this is clearly the better deal. When compared to Applecare+, it severely lacks. Applecare+ is only ~$8/mo with a $30 deductible. I currently have the S8, so clearly Applecare+ doesn't apply to me, but it would be nice if the insurance plans were comparable. A $150 deductible isn't great, but it sure is better than the standard $300+ repair. Bestbuy does have Samsung repair centers with repairs being $60 for cracked screens, but they aren't located in every major city and I'm not sure if the price is a standard rate. I would still recommend this plan over other plans (with the exception of Applecare+ of course) because of the better deductible, cheap premium, and potential reward points if paid with a Bestbuy credit card.

    It's a Good Plan and cheaper than Wireless Carrier

    I would of given a 5 star rating but every time theres a issue they push for the replacement cost, with that being said they are way cheaper than my wireless carrier. I had to use it one time because my phone was damaged by a wireless carrier update and it was about 2 months after I bought it and I had to pay the deductible to replace phone. It was very easy and quick. Tried to use it again when my screen cracked again they wouldn't fix screen insisted I had replace the whole phone but I found a Samsung Repair shop that replaced the screen for 1/5 the price of deductible.

    Had a problem with my phone and it was one that was on payment plan with Verizon. The folks in Gainesville, GA were trying very hard to help - they even called their corporate office and got a SOP to deal with it. The SOP was incomplete. He finally talked to someone else and got it done! I'm very happy with the outcome even if it took awhile. Sarge did not give up!!! I got a new phone and the associate in mobile did a great job with getting my stuff onto my new phone. The old phone didn't want to cooperate, it would stay up for about 10 seconds at t time, even in safe mode. Kevin got what I needed on the new phone and all is well.

    I usually don't get equipment protection with a new phone, but I got it for my new Samsung Galaxy S7 from Best Buy. What a stroke of luck! I am the guy that takes extreme care of his 'stuff.' After only 6 weeks, I found that I'd somehow broken the cover for the camera on my new S7! Of course, it compromised the camera's usefulness, and it also voided the water tight feature of the phone. The service plan cost me a $150 fee, but that is so much less than a new phone without a carrier service plan. Thanks, Best Buy

    Not quite as simple as was sold as. Was told just bring the phone to the geek squad & if they can't fix it they'll get you a new one? Well after the run around in the store, no, they don't fix it. You have to call or go online yourself, then wait for a different one to come in the mail. So far no problem getting the replacements, just not as easy as described. Also not new, it's refurbished.

    Much Needed Protection at a Lower Price

    I got this much needed protection for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge I got for my wife. She's always dropping her phone or getting it wet. I think the higher theft/loss protection plan should be a little cheaper. This protection is great for accidentals at a low price, but it would always be nice to have the theft/loss protection. This is also cheaper than most of the protection policies offered by phone carriers.

    While these policies are often merely a profit center for the seller, it's a personal choice depending on one's exposure to the likelihood of damage to one's covered device; it would be better if this would get less expensive overtime with a lack of claims, thereby rewarding careful behavior by the consumer in question.

    My son and I purchased the Geek Squad Tech Support in 2014 and have renewed every year since. They are easy to work with and very thorough. Each year I have my computer checked out in Dec. so I am usually good for the next year. I am not tech savvy and they treat me with respect and teach me new things about my computer. Well worth the value of the yearly support payment. Thanks Geek Squad!!

    So far I think the phone is great. It is a little getting used to with the lock button being on the back but the quality, speed and memory are fantastic. It was awesome to just be able to have all of my old applications automatically downloaded. I do not like that you can not use multiple media functions at the same time such as an msm message while on the phone.

    I dropped my S8+, about cried when I saw the shattered screen. I contacted support, paid my deductible and within 3 days I had a digital gift card emailed to me to purchase a new phone to replace. They sent me an empty box within 2 days and I just sent pack my old one once I purchased the Note 8 (for a little more out of pocket). First time I've had to use it but man, I'm glad I had it!

    Personally, I don't think I'd ever misplace or lose my phone somewhere, so I decided to go with the accidental protection plan over the accidental and replacement plan. However, if you think you will lose your phone or think it could happen, a few extra dollars for the better plan is the better choice.

    I have really never had to utilize the service for the Geek Squad other than once and I had a great experience overall. I would recommend always to pay for additional coverage when big ticket items are purchased, it gives peace of mind to have it covered just in case something does occur.

    The protection plan on the phone I believe is a good thing. The phone is brand new, and it is expensive. My last phone lasted for a very long time, and the only thing that broke on it was the battery recharge input. I circumvented that by putting in a new battery and charging the old one in a different phone. Not too difficult. I'll see how advantageous this is over time.

    I love geek squad. They are very knowledgeable about the products, and efficient in getting solutions. I purchased a Samsung note 8 and her tho takers it in a couple off days after. They diagnosed and fired the problem within 15 minutes. Can't go wrong worth geek squad.

    i took all 4 my cells off of sprint insurance and now are all on best buys insurance. before i had two on sprint and two on best buy. But now that the price has been lowered i put them all on best buy. plus i like that i can just take it in store and that they send you a new charger if your stops working.

    I was offered insurance on my phone by best buy when I made this purchase. I'm glad that they had it available and for a low monthly fee. Because when you get something that expensive you want it protected. I haven't needed this yet knock on wood. But I will have it on the future. So I'm rating it 5 Stars for that reason.

    I've had it on every phone I have ever purchased thru BestBuy and love it. Easy to use (if you need to). I have also had ATTs phone insurance and I find it filled with more "exceptions" which deem your claim ineligible by their standards or higher deductibles even after going 12+ months with no claims. I'd recommend this for sure.

    I'm not used to purchasing insurance for any of my past phones but managed to break my last x2 Galaxy S4's hence the reason I ended up deciding to upgrade and playing it smarter this time. So far I haven't had the need to use this service but you can't beat the peace of mind knowing that I have some type of back up.

    Best warranty for cell phones on the market. I've used At&t for insurance & the price kept rising as well as the deductible. Even tbough geek squad didn't use to have a deductible until a few years ago. Geek squad's deductible is much lower than At&t

    The agent came for consultation on how to connect my 22 security cameras to the NVR and to the monitor, the router, the modem and the computer. Set up the WiFi system and connect to my cell phones. The was knowledgeable and courteous.
