I purchase "budget" cell phones. As years go by, budget phones are improved to the extent that "you get what you pay for" loses its meaning. This particular budget phone caught my eye. Basically, because of the large battery. I have had Moto phones before so I was familiar with them. However, I have always purchased new, unlocked phones. I wanted to buy the unlocked Moto g7 Play. The g7 has better specs, but I wanted a large battery. The difference in price was negligible. But, looking at Best Buy online, I saw an unlocked, refurbished Moto g7 Play for a significant drop in price from new. I decided to bite the bullet and see what kind of product was delivered. I am happy to state that refurbished doesn't mean old, used, beat-up or defective. I received a phone that was indistinguishable from a "new" model on display at local retailer. So, the advantage was I was able to physically get my hands on a g7 play, and feel it and see how I liked it, and then order a refurbished g7 Play from Best Buy at almost 1/2 the price of new - with free shipping. Also, as an aside, the camera takes wonderful pictures. And, the battery is terrific. So, I heartily recommend Best Buy for providing a wonderful product at a fantastic price. And, I have purchased many phones over the years from many different sources.

The Excellent battery life paired with a decent screen size and the low price makes this a great back up or maybe a first time phone for a beginner in the mobile phone realm. Overall a solid, quick device that is extremely well priced. You could spend 3X's the amount for a phone that will die when this one is still at 70-80%!!! I gave it four stars because their is stiff competition in this price bracket. USB type C should be standard. And the snapdragon is a little outdated.

Overall a decent phone, and the refurbs on BestBuy have always been good. This model, however, tends to have trouble with sending text messages once in a while. Research shows it is an incompatibility with the TMobile network.

This phone is a great value saves the rental fee with the phone carrier. Best Buy refurbish is just as good as the new one , just cheaper

Was worried about a refurb but pleasantly surprised. Looked brand new, no issues at all. Great easy to use phone for those not needing the top-o-line.

I bought as a gift and it was so worth it's value. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good phone at a decent price.

They do not send me the key to open the SIM card. And do not send me USB cable to charge the cell. Hope the store can provide. Please

This phone is awful, don't waste your money on it. It slips out of your hands, and off of every surface. Because if falls all the time the screen should be stronger, but it's not and it cracks super easily. It corrupts save data on your SD cards, and the wifi is extremely unreliable. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS!

Ordered as a birthday gift for my sister, who has enjoyed the phone. Great value.

For the money you can't beat Moto phones. Good quality for price.

This phone on worked for a couple months. I do not recommend this product t was a waste of money, especially if you’re paying on a phone that’s no longer functional! Pay a little more and get a hood phone!

When u jus turn on the phone the quality picture an background was beautiful I swear it was a galaxy or iPhone an I had all of those phone it worth the price an everyone loved it when u showed no believe it was a moto g6 play if u purchase one u won’t regret it

The phone suffers from performance issues and heats up often from minimum use. The battery is supposed to last longer than my old phone but it doesn't. It's refurbished and you can definitely tell it's not new.

Returned and purchased the G6, NON - PLAY version. Better camera and processor for just a little more brand new. BTW the pictures on bb website are actually of the G6 NON play version as is the description mostly.

The phone I got had no cosmetic wear & tear. Call quality is clear on incoming and outgoing calls. Funny enough, mine came with Samsung adaptive fast charger and it charges fast like 80% in 30 minutes, wow! From 100% , I'm getting around 36 hours (5 hours screen time) battery life with 20% left. Quad core performance + 3 GB RAM is sufficient for my needs. It handles old 3D games but struggles on the likes of PUBG, etc. Multitaskingg is smooth between apps. Picture quality from 13 MP camera is decent (see image). The only letdown is the shiny plastic back the attract fingerprint.
