I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished phone but it worked great right from the box. However, the charger that came with the phone was a micro USB charger. The phone needs a USB-C connector. I took the phone with the box and my receipt to the local Best Buy and the store gladly swapped out the charger for the correct one. I love this phone it has been a few years since I have updated my phone and this phone has surpassed my expectations. I purchased this unlocked phone after much research as I was switching providers to T-Mobile (military plan). I liked the options and features on this phone. The only drawback for me so far after a week of using it is the text messaging. It is slightly different from my previous Samsung cheapo but I am quickly getting the hang of it. I would say about this phone is very slippery. When you purchase this phone please also purchase a case. I ordered the Poetic case which is a two-part case. The front piece has a built-in screen protector that will cover the front while it interlocks with the back cover. So, your phone is sandwiched between a front and back cover. The case makes the phone a little thicker, but I am not worried about dropping it or cracking the front or back of the phone. A coworker purchased the moto 6 and his phone dropped and the back case shattered. So, if you purchase this phone I am certain you will enjoy the phone but make sure that you also purchase a case.

I purchased this phone about a month ago but waited to write this review. My last smartphone was a Droid Turbo and it had served me well for 2.5 years but, alas, I could tell it was on its last legs. Anticipating being out of the country for a few months and not wanting my Turbo to die on me while out of the country I began looking for a substitute. I had grown to love the Motorola platform so I looked there. I wanted a phone that could last a whole day on a charge, had the double rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor, and NFC (because the new G6 doesn't have it). After looking around, I decided on the Moto X4 and when I found that Best Buy sold it Certified Refurbished I immediately pulled the trigger on that purchase. When I received it and turned it on, I was met with a fantastic surprise: not only did it look gorgeous compared to the Turbo, the newest updates were available to me! Although it shipped with Android 7.1, within a day or so of updates it was running Android 8.1 Oreo! Not only does it have the hardware I was looking for but it has the newest software too. The phone isn't perfect, it is a budget phone after all, but it performs admirably for its price point. Even though its a year since its launch, if you're looking for a great phone for less than $300 I highly recommend this phone!

Phone has great battery life, a large screen, and is so easy to use. I really like the keyboard, too. It doesn't make too many mistakes, accurate and not too sensitive

My old Samsung S active stopped charging, so I got the Motorola. I'm happy with the change so far, but it's taking some getting used to. I feel like there are more features, but I have less control.

As soon is not too bad. It has a pretty good camera. Definitely worth getting one with more memory or getting a memory card if you can find one.

I Didn't think they sold Smart Phones to Dumb People, but I own my first smart phone. Now I can give up my Beeper, Cell Phone, Nextel, and Flip Phone. Ain't Technology Grand. Now, I need to wait until Xfinity obtains the new technology available to activate my new phone. Presently, they do only I- Phones.

Got this for my wife to replace her older Moto X. This is a solid phone that does everything the bigger, fancier, more expensive phones do. Motorola makes a great, reliable device.

This is frist Motorola phone and I loved it. I always used Samsung phones and I am very pleased with the Motorola phone.

Solid phone. Excellent refurb condition. But plan on a trip to the store to sort out the charger and cable. Mine were not even close to usable.

I got this over the Moto G6, Faster processor and longer battery life. Mid range phone down to a budget price. Got update to November security update already which is nice. Replaced my Samsung Note 4 with this. Love the features. Waiting to try the 4 Bluetooth speaker feature. The 4G speeds are great on Verizon My only grip is the speaker output is low. .

The Moto X4 is a great mid-range phone value, especially at the refurb price of $199, less $50 credit promotion when purchased with certain prepaid providers. The phone has a solid build quality, is almost the perfect size, has a decent camera and even though it is refurbished, the one I received looked brand new. An AMOLED screen would be nicer to have with Moto Display, but the LCD on this phone looks sharp and is bright enough to be viewed outdoors. I love the useful features that the Moto software adds and otherwise clean vanilla Android.

I love the way it looks bought it for a good price. Works great and takes great pictures. Has everything I could ask for in a phone I would choose this phone over any other phone.
