I was worrying about it not holding the monitors upright like some reviewers has pointed out but I do not have that problem at all. The assembling instruction is minimal and not clear. I had to watch youTube to figure out which side of the arm is facing down. That's the first monitor arm I purchase and I was not disappointed.

Either too small of threads or too small in diameter, the screws slide right in and out. I want to love this stand but as it is, it’s unusable ,

The MI-2781 is freestanding. Please note the arms will need to be adjusted to locate the center of gravity for the mount and monitor arms. The unit also comes with a grommet install option for added stabilization.

It does not hold up both monitors even though you tighten it as much as you can. The minute you touch the monitor, they all slide down the pole. Very frustrating I absolutely hate it and wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on this.
