This computer is blazing fast, running most games on ultra settings with 60+ fps. The keyboard feels amazing on my fingertips and has a nice quiet click with every push of a button. Definitely recommend for someone looking for a mid to high end gaming computer. The reasons I gave it 4 stars is because the battery life is terrible while playing games and sometimes the key clicks will lag in game (not sure if it's a game issue or a computer issue, but it happens at least 2-3 times a week). For example, I push the up arrow to make my character walk and it takes a solid 1.5 seconds to register the click. Most gamers know this could mean life or death in an MMO.

This is a really nice laptop very light and thin. Has a great look with the different color LEDs. If you would be using the Oculus VR system, take note. The Oculus headset has a 3.0 USB and a HDMI connector that only spreads so far apart, on this laptop the USB and HDMI jacks are on opposite sides so I had to get a short jumper for the USB. The other thing to know is the battery will not hold up on the VR systems, not a problem as long as you keep the power supply plugged in. Still a great little laptop

Its a good laptop. Its fast and does everything that I need it to, but I couldn't give it five stars because the first thing I had to do (besides wait 3 hours for it to update), was do a google search on how to fix the speakers. All they did was crackle instead of putting out the sound they were suppose to. Turns out you have to delete the sound drivers (there's two) and reload them with the newest updates because apparently, even though it spent the last 2 hours updating, it didn't update those.

Started out rocky with sound issues and registration problems. However, a quick trip to the download center and a few updates later and this dragon is purring like a kitten. Quiet, fast, incredible graphics; so far it seems like the total package. I even left the bloatware since it's minimal and quite helpful. After loading a few games I'm convinced this can handle anything you throw at it. My latency even dropped by half with the Killer wifi. In short, I'm highly impressed by a brand I didn't know existed 6 hours ago.

This thing is thin and lite weight that is why I picked it over other gaming laptops. And MSI has a lot of features that looked good. From better screens, audio dac, steel series keyboard. This is a great buy. The best buy sku is 100's cheaper than any other. You do have to understand that the 128gb ssd is a little slow for an ssd. But it is still a very fast machine. Also the mechanical hdd is a waste to me. I dropped in a 240GB sandisk plus ssd. Also not the fastest ssd but in real world use it is a matter of seconds.

If you are looking for a powerful laptop, this is the one. I do a lot of work on spreadsheets, word processing etc. and this machine can breeze right through it. Then, when it's time to relax and play a couple of CSGO, it can handle that game as well. There are only 2 drawbacks that I see at this point, it does make some noise when the fans spin up. It's not too over the top. The second it does run hot, but it doesn't throttle that I have noticed. When gaming, I recommend a laptop cooler.

Loved the computer! For its size , weight & performance it was ALMOST perfect. I had 2 of these computers. First one I owned for a month and then it started to have audio problems (sound was very bad quality). Called microsoft support, couldnt fix it. So i returned it. Second one had the same problem after 2 weeks. If you are deaf or sound isnt a must for you then this is the perfect computer!

I purchased this laptop a month ago for my boyfriend and he enjoys it immensely. He can see a new world in the game he's been playing for a long time. The only downfall, that may or may not apply to gamers in general, is the speakers. The speakers are quite bad on their own. But, to gamers who only use their headset probably shouldn't worry too much.

I originally purchased this laptop for VR use but soon discovered it was so much more. I was previously using a Dell precision workstation with an Nvidia quadro gpu to render 360 images and movies. This process would often take 12 hours. The new MSI machine with the Gtx gpu renders the same items in less than 2 hours. This machine paid for itself in one day! The gpu was the big difference but the rest of the machine is pretty awesome too. The Ram, Hybrid HD, and i chip make this a sweet little laptop for a great price - plus it looks pretty cool too.

This computer has performed flawless. I have had zero issues. It is super fast, boots in seconds and takes on large programs with ease. Although I don't use it for gaming I do use it for large file photography and video.

The MSI GS63VR is a solid machine with good performance. I use it for video as well as gaming and frame rates with multiple video streams are steady and smooth. The issue out of the box was the sound. I'm still not sure how I got the speakers and headphones to finally work correctly after reading a dozen or so similar complaints and solutions. Most importantly right now is the battery, which, while plugged in, varies between 93% and 99% charged - while I'm just working a spreadsheet and a word document. No heavy lifting. I've reconditioned the battery via the MSI app but that had no effect on the battery level issue. I'll take it in for best buy to look at and hope there's something they can do about it. I don't want to have to setup my pc all over again. The other nit is about the placement of the USB and HDMI ports. I'm constantlyl bumping up against cables. I'll fix the USB issue with a USB hub. The HDMI placement is just unfortunate. Still, happy with the machine. Haven't found the perfect one yet. This will do fine in the meantime.

I have been in the market for a laptop and to build a gaming computer at the same time...this laptop fulfilled both of those needs! I use this thing every single night for gaming and it runs pretty much any game at almost the highest settings with no problems at all! Pros: Extremely Fast Lightweight Beautiful Screen Awesome Features Cons If there is no airflow to the bottom of the laptop, the keys start to do weird things by themselves.

This is a solid laptop. Could play most AAA titles, and had plenty of storage. Only complaint was the audio. The speakers stink. I used headphones or an external Bluetooth speaker so it wasn't a huge issue. It is pretty light for travel, but has a solid build.

I did some research before i bought this. Working well so far for me. I had a problem at first with the speakers but it was only just a upgrade needed and they said everyone who puchased this had to do that upgrade. Just was disappointed because I wasn't informed prior to purchasing this. But other than that I love it so much!

A good lightweight portable laptop with great gaming potential. The laptop comes with great msi software so that you can customize the pc. Make sure you uninstall the Nahimic 2 software it sounds terrible. The 128GB SSD is small especially if you're a gamer so if possible consider upgrading to a larger SSD. The HDD is standard (5400rpm) but I haven't had any problems with it. If you decide to stay with the 128GB SSD delete all of the bloatware that comes with the PC from Best Buy. You can delete all of the bloatware by backing up all of the msi software you want to keep and resetting the device when you recieve it. Other than the small SSD space this laptop is beyond amazing it handles games on ultra settings really well due to the Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU.

10 out of 10 would buy again, powerful sleek only down is battery life when playing games but it's expected since it's such a powerful computer.

So the performance of this laptop is phenomenal, performs better than many desktop builds. The only downfall are the speakers. For the price you're paying, you'd expect exceptional sound quality, but what I got is worse than a chrome books speakers. You have been warned.

I work on a laptop at work, and finally decided to get one for my personal life. This laptop is amazing. Super quick load times, it has a beautiful design and keyboard, it is very light and thin (this was the biggest reason I decided to purchase this laptop). I wanted something that would be quick, portable, and still be nice on the eyes. This laptop does that in spades.

The specs for this laptop are very good. I upgraded the memory and put in an SSD which replaced the traditional HD. I was really disappointed with the low-grade m.2 that came with the laptop so I put in a larger Samsung 950 m.2. The laptop is fast and reliable now.

Fantastic chassis that is lightweight and doesn't feel cheap. The keyboard is amazing to use and has a good feedback. As an occasional gamer, the graphics are great and performs flawlessly. The cooling fans do ramp up while playing a game creating noticeable noise, but tolerable. Some preloaded bloat ware, but at minimum and way better than other companies.
