This is also concerning if you plan to run the gpu alot. No computer with this type of gpu has this small a heat sink. The downsides are that there is only one m.2 slot. There is no Thunderbolt 3 port. It has USB type C 3.1 but it does not have a thunderbolt controller.

It does do well performing most of the tasks I've asked of it. I do wish it had a bigger hard drive and a CD-rom. Ended up buying an external CD-rom. Call me old school, but there are still some uses for those.

Good for more than gaming

Only drawback is that this 17" laptop will not fit in my backpack.

Has a lot of nice features like the msi dragon application. Nice backlight customization for the keyboard. I also like the different modes it can run on. Fan does get noisy. Overall okay laptop but may end up having couple of defects in the long run.
