Customers are saying

Customers regard the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT MECH 2X 8G OCv1 as a strong performer, particularly praising its ability to handle modern games smoothly and efficiently. The card's cooling system is also frequently cited as a positive, with many noting its low temperatures and quiet operation. However, a significant portion of feedback centers on the product's cost, with some customers expressing concern that the price is too high. Despite this, many are still pleased with the overall performance they receive.

Great graphics card coming from a rtx 2060ti you can see a major difference in a lot of games. Also has great cooling and is super quite.I would wait until the price goes down to msrp I bought this at 609.99 which is about the msrp of a rx 6800xt but other than that I love this gpu

    Great 1080p card

The card itself: Had for about 2 weeks. Runs everything 1080p I have with high graphics settings turned up 60 fps or higher. Low heat and power draw. Works great. The price: Unfortunately it’s just where we are now. Been trying to finish a 5600x system built over a year ago because of the gpu shortage and this one does it nicely. Same way I can’t get my hands on a PS5 over a year since launch.

This is a nice graphic card. Although the price is terrible. This GPU dropped for MSRP around 380 $ or so about r months ago. Sad to see the price nearly doubled. It’s is a very power efficient card. Very little heat comes from it and it offers a great performance for a mid range GPU.

Windows=PnP, But Linux will make you think twice

The card's build quality is minimalistic (which is what I was looking for), and pretty solid build quality. If you're installing on Windows, the driver installation is as simple as it gets. However, as far as Linux goes, all I can say, is good luck. It will take an extensive, proper understanding of the infrastructure of a Debian OS in general. As well as Trial and Error, depending on your build's hardware. Going off of that, the current stable version of the Ubuntu 20.04.3, AMDGPU drivers, and it's many alternative "flavors", don't even have the correct "amdgpu-dkms" driver, and will throw multiple errors when trying to install on Linux. Much less the fact, that there is a PCIE 3.0 atomics limitation implemented with ROCR (ROCM) on Ubuntu 20.04.3. So if you decide to use more than one AMD RX6xxx Card with your build, you aren't even getting the PCI-E Gen4.0 that you're paying for. This literally means that you have to rebuild the specific driver package revolving around ROCR/ROCM, in a seperate linux kernel (5.04.0-54), and then install on the latest working kernel (5.11.0-36)--which I should also mention, IS NOT the default kernel selected when booting Ubuntu 20.04.3 upon installing. As a Linux User on my primary desktop myself, specifically "Xubuntu"-20.04.3; I would HIGHLY recommend against getting this card. And if you're planning on putting the work in required, to use multiple of any of the RX6xxx (XT) Cards, then I'd recommend using this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/gpumining/comments/ptmyjd/ubuntu_20043_amdgpu_2130_opencl_rocr_rocm/ When AMD finally fixes this, I'll praise the heavens. Until then, I've been @Skittlez. Thank you for taking the time to read this. :)

Works great! I’ve only used it for a short time so far. Graphics are a huge upgrade from my 1090. My only issues are the directions. They make the directions for 3 different models and you only have the one. It’s how they save costs, but it makes an extra headache. Beggars can’t be choosers now, either. Expensive.

I am giving this GPU 2 stars because of its build quality. The solid aluminum heat spreader is the first time I have ever seen one in real life. The only other time I have even seen a heat spreader like this was in the Hardware Unboxed video where Steve is reviewing the Biostar 6600 or 6600 XT (I can't remember exactly which one it is). It's no wonder I have read so many reviews of this card overheating and not working in peoples systems. The cooling solution on the card is as cheap as it gets. Even the fan shroud on this card is cut down compared to all of the other models of Mech 2x cards from MSI. This is just the bottom of the barrel.

Overpriced but okay at 1080p. Played well, but couldn't justify the AIB price premium over the basic MSRP.

It's a video card that does exactly what it is supposed to. I don't see why people feel the need to give a one star review because of pricing. It's the world we live in, graphics cards are overpriced everywhere.

I own a few of these RX 6600 XT cards I use for mining. MSI one was a lot cheaper than than 3 fan SPEEDSTER but it's only 1 MH/sec lower hash rate so I would say it's a good value.
