Exceeded my expectations, always thought msi products were overpriced but definitely changed my mind. Worth every penny, with the beautiful RGB lighting all around. Cooler booster 5 works wonders while gaming paired with a cooling pad it never gets hot or overheats.

The laptop is awesome that best laptop I ever try the only problem was a little dot in the screen. But tomorrow I’m going to Best Buy to see what can they do.

I ordered this laptop to be sent to my house a few days ago and it just arrived in the mail. Already this machine goes above and beyond what I paid for it. This thing is lightning fast, super responsive and it's got a super high quality screen. I am so excited to start playing video games on this device because I am already in love with it. I would buy it 1000x more if I could.

As always, the second it is time for an upgrade I head right back to BestBuy and do just that. I am never disappointed. The service is great and very timely, and then I am sent home with a beautiful new gaming rig that is a near perfect blend of software and hardware. I'll be back before long!

This laptop can take anything I throw at it, and the thermal profile has been excellently tuned by MSI as well when I tested it with p95 and furmark working simultaneously! You definitely get what you pay for with this and can't go wrong with it as well as a gaming/workstation solution!

I, as an engineering student I needed to have a pretty strong laptop, this one can do everything I need without a problem. I was so sick of buying laptops over and over again, but this one has given me no issues. If you need a strong laptop for work or school, this is the way to go.

Absolutely stunning quality, look and everything. The display alone is immaculate. As soon as I seen it I instantly fell in love with it and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a high quality laptop. I mainly purchased this for business as my old laptop battery doesn't work however since it is a gaming laptop I will surely be using it for both.

Best Purchase I made for my college years. Editing videos and gaming was effortless for this laptop. The only complaint was that it was loud at times but can't blame it for being such a beast, some headphones easily took care of that problem though. 9/10 laptop for sure.

Ok if you want to pay 2500 dollars for a microwave, but I must say the Geek Squad and Best Buy was very helpful in replacing this item even though I had it outside of the 30 day window for exchanges.So many problems I don’t know where to start 1. Email didn’t function properly 2. 80 degrees Celsius with only web browsing 3. Key RBG was faulty 4.Battery sucked 5. Fans constantly running 6.google chrome didn’t work 7. WiFi glitchy 8. Games wouldn’t work half the time

I have gone through 6 laptops with Best Buy! Fist two were the MSI GS66 Stealth, which all had really bad screen bleeding and blue screen errors continuously. So, I decided to spend a little more $ and get the GE66 Raider. The reviews were stellar and it was on sale. Unfortunately the first one was obviously used, as it had no plastic protective coverings like my friends, who bought the same unit. It also had small scratches throughout, among a lot of OS errors. The second Raider was even worse. It wasn’t used. But, when I went to open it for work one morning the screen straight up popped out, as you can see from the pictures here. This happens three days after I bought it. Very sad considering it’s a $2200 laptop. You’d except a little more quality control which seems to be non existent these days. I again had to spend more money for another Uber to get to Best Buy to exchange / return. At this point I was pretty much done and about to give up. I was so done and was just going to get my money back. The person who helped me kind of talked me out of getting my money back and well how unlucky can I be? This next one should be good to go right?Considering all the great reviews, I felt like it was almost impossible for me to get another defective unit. Well., that’s not the case unfortunately. This will be my 6 laptop. This one actually runs great. Little glitches here and there, but nothing big. The problem is, all the fingerprints, dust and scratches on this unit right out of the box. The light bar sticks out, dust gets in, and scratches my wrist as well. When you spend over 2K you shouldn't have fingerprints, dust, scratches and defects like this. I honestly don’t understand how all these laptops are being sold as new like this? I will be returning this one and am just giving up at this point. I have always bought my computers from Best Buy, but unfortunately I don’t have the peace of mind to do so anymore...not for over 2K.

How I found it: When I was searching for a laptop to begin as a Computer Science Major in college, I found this laptop. Ever since then, I’m glad that I made the purchase. Value: Compared to other high-end laptops, the MSI GE66 is a balanced laptop that is both powerful and economical choice. Considering the high-end CPU and GPU and the 32GB available of RAM, the laptop’s price is a great value for performance and system optimization capabilities. The 240hz gaming display: Everything on the screen displays smoothly with no lag whatsoever. I don’t have to worry about waiting for words that I type on my screen to appear in order to continue typing while making programs or essays for college. The 1080p screen quality allows you to enjoy a great gaming experience too while being a 15.6’’ screen that’s big enough to see and small enough for easy transportation. The screen is perfect for displaying the RTX GPU's power while remaining transportable to use the laptop in different rooms. Mousepad and Keyboard: The keyboard is very comfortable to type on. The light-up RGB keyboard is useful when using the laptop at night or a room with little lighting. It also looks cool and is customizable to display however you want it to within the Dragon Center (which sometimes is buggy to set up, but once you get it to work, it gets the job done). The mousepad is comfortable, although I’m not a fan of clicking on it. Luckily, the mousepad also uses multi-gestures to help comfort that. A single touch is a left click while a two-finger touch is a right click. This is very useful when you don’t own a mouse, but most of the time, people already own mouse’s for computers anyway, so this isn’t a big deal breaker for me. Memory: The SSD is very large, and the system OS doesn’t take up too much of the initial space. Without counting the OS memory, the hard drive’s memory is 930GB. As a gaming laptop, this leaves a lot of room to download a lot of games without cutting on performance. This is especially useful to me as I need to download and upload programs on the computer and the extra memory leaves me comfortable with never running out of space. If you do find yourself running out of space, you can buy an external drive for some extra memory, so storage definitely isn’t a problem for this computer. Battery: The battery, considering all of the performance you can get out of it, is very high. The computer, with the keyboard lights on can last for 3 to 4 hours, while lasting longer without the keyboard lights on while using not very energy-intensive activities. I recommend using a power plug while gaming to optimize performance, as a lot of energy is needed to game. Fans: The fans aren’t insanely loud, but in order to be powerful enough to keep the computer from overheating too fast, the laptop trades off silence for performance. The fans are at the same sound level as boiling water, so using headphones will help limit the sound of the fans you hear while gaming on Ultra settings. Speakers: The speakers were a downside of this laptop. Although you can listen to loud enough audio while not using headphones, the sound is on the lower end of sound quality. I recommend to use headphones for the best sound quality. Since using headphones or external speakers is able to resolve this problem, I don’t see this as a deal breaker either. Overall, I love this laptop and would recommend to buy it if you are looking for a high-end, economical gaming laptop for both college and gaming. You will not be disappointed.

The screen broke at the hinge about 1 year after purchase. I had protection plan so they supposedly "fixed" it. However, I can tell it was the same screen. About 3 months later the display separates from itself and falls on the keyboard. I believe I need an entirely new screen and not a "fix". As much money as this thing cost, you'd think it would be better than this.
