Great system!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop to game with and it comes through great for everything I play. I'm an old-school gamer. I've played the whole Battlefield series since it first came out. I play The Division, Assassins Creed, Titan Fall, etc... I don't play C.S. or the likes though. I usually play on a desktop I build myself, and I build desktops when I don't want to overpay for playing on highest settings. My desktop is in limbo after a move and I have been getting cranky without my games, so I searched for a laptop I could be happy playing with and I like MSI products after using their motherboards and graphics cards. I can play all my games maxed out! The system is responsive and the screen is beautiful! I have great network times with super low pings on WiFi ! The keyboard gives positive yet quiet clicks, so I know I hit the keys but the whole neighborhood can't hear it! Honestly I wasn't expecting a laptop to give me the performance of my gaming system, but I may never get my tower back out of the moving box after playing on this because I don't really need it. MSI has built a great system in this laptop and I am not disappointed. Worth every penny to me.

Great gaming and all purpose Laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy setup, superior game play and really neat customization features. We are a Mac family and just finally getting back into the PC world. I was looking for a multi-purpose laptop that would work for more extreme gaming, photo and video editing as well as school and office activities. I wasn't current with all the latest specs so I had some help from more informed co-workers on choosing this laptop and I could not be happier. The whole family can use this and customize this how they want. With this config we should be set for a good amount of time which was key to me. The only negatives were it took me a few videos to find how to adjust and turn off the lights. Right clicking on Steel Series 3 makes it super easy to adjust the lights. Its more of a positive than negative because the customizations are awesome. The emblem was not everyone's favorite. Although you can remove the emblem (probably not recommended), we just bought a skin we can all agree on. This was very minor and I am very pleased with the product design overall. I would say MSI should include the option for a clean look at some point to allow for this option.

Amazing Laptop, price a little hefty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a beautifully crafted and light for very powerful gaming. Upgraded from a Alienware 15 with a 980m and I am enjoying this laptop a thousandfold more than my last. All I can say is, it is money worth spent although I would appreciate it more if the price was a little lower.

Performance, quality materials, awesome features.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this device a few weeks ago now, and I have been very happy with it! The device is not super heavy and the design is thin and sleek, while also being subtle yet aggressive. The materials do not feel cheap. The build quality seems pretty sturdy, not much flex in any of the hinges or anything. The display is clear. crisp, and responsive. Keyboard and RGB bar is an awesome touch of personalization and the SteelSeries software is intuitive and easy to work with. The keyboard is nice to type on and very responsive. Same with the trackpad, it does not feel like some other cheaper plastic ones where there is a drag on your finger. The thermal control on these devices is incredible. using the auto mode the device stays cool while in mild to moderate use and the turbo mode for the fans will quickly cool it down when you are doing more heavy-duty tasks. Sometimes I will prop my device up to about a 1/4 inch, allowing more airflow below it when I need it to be both cool and quiet while doing moderate work. Overall I would definitely recommend this device.

Best in class
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an Alienware R3 17 for years until the cpu bit the dust last month. I thought I loved Alienware until I tried this MSI laptop. When I was choosing to replace my laptop I didn't want to go cheap on something that would be almost obsolete in a year or two, but also didn't want to spend a fortune of $3k-$4k+. This laptop is more than just the happy medium. The gpu is currently the 3rd-best performing laptop gpu on the market, behind only 2080 variations. The 6-core/12-thread cpu handles anything with ease, and the 32GB RAM along with the 1TB SSD make for a gaming experience without hiccups. This laptop is half the weight thickness of what my Alienware was.

Amazing Performance for a laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has most definitely exceeded my expectations. Performance is most definitely superb and the RTX 2070 Super is able to play most games at max settings easily. The only downside that I would say is that the fans sound like jet engines whenever the laptop is under an intense workload.

Great Performance and Design!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ads- High performance, good design, screen quality, cooling, no bugs Cons- Expensive , In gaming mode the fans are working very loud to keep the cpu and gpu cooler and it works well but again very loud, and speakers are okay; it is not that good for the price of the laptop.

MSI hasn't failed me yet.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty powerful machine. It has many ports and runs decently quiet compared to the power it's putting out. Fan can get noisy if you are gaming with high settings, but can't hear it over the game. Built quality seems durable. Happy with the performance at the moment.

Oustanding Product for the Price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say, this is my first purchase on a gaming laptop and I am more than content with my purchase. Before purchasing my MSI I owned a MacBook Pro that I've owned since 2012. Obviously, mac doesn't offer very many applications (like.. at all) so I knew I wanted something with both windows and better specs. After watching and reading several reviews I settled on buying. So far I've owned it for a week and I've been very impressed! With the hardware this set-up runs with, I haven't hit a single barrier regarding performance. Upgradable to 64 gigs of RAM too which is definitely something I'll look into. The one thing that makes this laptop truly shine is it's cosmetics. the external lighting, matte aluminum finish, and even the MSI logo on the front make this laptop look amazing. The price is higher than most but with this product you pay the right price for what you get. Hope it lasts as long as my MacBook did. Outstanding product!!

Amazing Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was originally going to buy a new MacBook Pro but decided with this computer instead. This laptop has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It was a tough decision to make because I was so accustomed to Apple computers and also new to gaming in general. The graphics and performance are outstanding and now, I do not need to spend another couple thousand down the line to upgrade to a whole new computer. I also love the personalization. Without a doubt, this is the smartest buy if you are looking for a new laptop. I use it for gaming, and also use it for school. However, its capabilities are endless.

Highly recommend this gaming laptop, it's a beast.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man this laptop is freaking fast as heck lol. It displays things beautifully and it plays games amazingly. The only flaws I'll point out is that it runs hot. So you should definitely pickup a laptop base cooling system. I got the Targus one and it works pretty darn good. There's enough USB connections for all your needs, I can plug in the cooler, my mouse, and a game pad. It has a HDMI port so if you decide to plug it into a monitor or into a TV there's that option available. Wow this thing is a beast. The laptop is also sturdy, it's made to withstand some knock around. Although I prefer to be very gentle with it. I would highly recommend it, if you can afford it it's an amazing laptop.

Powerful but very disappointing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been eyeing this particular model for quite a while after it was announced and I decided to purchase this laptop as soon as it was in stock at my local store. The design of the laptop itself is great! The RGB lighting is well executed, the build quality is awesome, the performance is among the best I've ever seen on a gaming laptop, and I really like the more subdued style compared to many other brands right now. So why the three stars? The speakers on this model are terrible. There's no bass, muffled/muted sound , and using the included Nahmic software makes it sound even worse in many cases. Even low budget laptops I've used in the past sound better than this. Not sure why MSI decided to focus on including a huge battery and sacrifice something as important as audio quality on a device in this particular price range. If you're someone that always uses headphones for gaming/media consumption, I'm sure you'll enjoy the performance of this device. Personally, I doubt I'll be buying another MSI laptop until they decide to address this issue.

Great portable laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MSI has built a super fast gaming laptop in an easy to transport package. The 240 Hz screen with true color creates a beautiful space for gaming and movie watching. High quality keyboard with RGB customization per key. Great connectivity with USB 3.2 and USB C/Thunderbolt ports. For the price it is a great value with 1TB SSD and 32GB memory. I really like the touch pad which is very responsive. There is also room for upgrades down the road with an extra M.2 slot and memory expandable to 64GB. It also runs my Adobe suite programs with great speed even with multipule apps open. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a fast gaming computer.

Ive had it for a month and its perfect so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast - 20 second MAX boot up time (average 5-7 seconds). This thing turns off and on quickly like a brand new macbook. I love the additional RGB light and RGb keyboard (its customizable too) Battery life is good (3-5 hours, a little over 3 hours on my average use.) Screen is beautiful - I would rather use the laptop screen then my monitor, and I only got the 240hz version. Plays game with no lags (I havent downloaded any crazy crazy games yet like the witcher, but ive played other 3D JRPG games on steam on it and it was solid like a Xbox One) Overall so far a 5/5. If you need a laptop with a crazy battery maybe compare your options. I love this laptop I cant lie lol. Also other cons people may not like: -This laptop is kinda big, the screen is almost 16 in -the battery charger is big as well

Amazing laptop for all high performance purposes!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel as though whatever use you may put this laptop towards, it will be an excellent choice, unless you are just doing mundane, simple tasks, for which there are better options. But, for gaming and anything else resource-intensive, this laptop shines brightly (quite literally!), performing at a very high level in a relatively lightweight and thin package. Heck, even the keyboard feels great! All in all, a perfect fit for gamers or anyone who wants the very best performance for their money. Overall, the screen refresh rate, CPU, and GPU are a great package for any programs that require high performance in these areas--and at a great price, especially for the form factor. P.S: The lightbar and keyboard backlights are very fun the mess around with!

Best laptop out there.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After seeing reviews, and switching over from Razer to this.. I couldn't be happier. It's a premium feel for what you pay, and just like many other devices it has it's flaws here and there, but I really don't think you can get better for your money. Besides a desktop of course! I've tried several games such as WarZone, rainbow six siege, and other first person shooters. With the graphics tuned all the way up for the most part, as not everything is necessary imo, this game laptop runs everything buttery smooth. Last thing I'd like to suggest is that you do buy a laptop cooler so that you can increase the life span of any laptop. Battery is long lasting. Not impressive, but surely way better than most of your gaming laptops out there.

Best Gaming Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first MSI gaming laptop and it is amazing. The 2070 RTX Super is absolutely stunning. Another thing I really liked about the laptop is amount of things I can improve in the future like ram can go up to 64GB and two M.2 Slots for storage. I used to own a Razer m15 and that got over heated alot, to the point where I couldn't use it without a cooling pad. This laptop doesn't have that problem. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is the speaker quality, they sound very tinny. This is not a big deal to me since I use my gaming headset but they definitely can be improved. On the other hand the 240Hz refresh rate is amazing and makes gaming a breeze. Overall, I am very happy with the laptop and highly recommend it!

Impressed more and more every day.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: This is a great laptop. I recommend it. Wow this thing is awesome. I've had it for a few months now and I use it almost every day. With every click, from boot up to shut down, it's fast. Out of the box it's fast and easy setup... as easy as windows can be I guess it depends on what you need/know. It does come with a number of decal stickers, you can leave them on if you want to but my hands were already catching on the sticker coating within the first couple hours. I removed all the decals on the screen and keyboard, except the intel core i7 sticker and the black fuzzy steel series sticker above it (both on the left side) I left alone. Then I removed any remaining residue by working in woosh tech cleaner with a microfiber cloth (both from amazon.) It took a couple patient rounds of simply working the cleaner in with the cloth in gentle circles until the residue was gone. I haven't personally owned a Windows machine since XP, so I had to re-learn some things. I had a problem for a bit where the fans kept kicking on during idle and after monitoring through task manager and checking the computer logs, I figured out it was skype repeatedly trying to log in but failing, even though I had uninstalled it. So there's still pesky things like unwanted software but luckily I have PC friends that helped me out with most of it. I don't normally play graphic intense games but I've played a few just to get this thing going. It does get very warm but I've been keeping it on a cooler master cooling fan mat (an $18+/- one, nothing fancy) to give it a little boost in airflow. It doesn't cool much but it makes me feel better about it being very warm. I actually rarely plug the fan mat in unless I'm playing a game like Dauntless or the Sims. I have yet to get it so hot that I can't touch it so that hasn't been a problem for me. The Dragon Center is a cool tool to help monitor everything and quickly switch between work vs game vs browsing type profiles. Be careful though, there are a few pieces of software on here that control similar things, such as the built in windows controls vs dragon center vs some sort of xbox gaming controls idk I forget because I don't use it. Just make sure you use the one you want and stick to it, personally I like and use Dragon Center. The SteelSeries Engine took some getting used to. I wasn't able to find any really good youtube tutorials on how to work the settings for this particular laptop model, so it was definitely a bit of a trial and error learning curve. Now I have it so different games have different rgb lights and it really kicks butt. I showed my bf (not really a tech guy) and he straight up called me the biggest nerd. (Let me be clear, I did not purchase this for the RGB keyboard and lightbar but wow it's extremely cool.) Additional notes: I researched long and hard for a gaming laptop that would let me move around my house during quarantine and overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. (My bf didn't lie, I am a nerd who assigned point values to features I wanted in a laptop, made a chart of my comparisons, and this one came out on top with the most points.) I pretty much baby this thing, even going as far as using woosh almost daily to keep it pristinely clean. My cat has decided a couple of times that the keyboard is a warm bed but I quickly shoo her off so nothing goes wrong. Once she jumped from the window above my desk onto the laptop with the screen open, and once with it closed, and other than me almost having a heart attack, the laptop suffered no damage. She also likes to rub her face on the corner of the screen so I'm terrified one day she'll do it when I'm not looking and bite the screen and break it. So if you have cats, watch out for that nonsense. I think that's enough rambling for one review. I hope you got something useful out of it. That was a long time for me to say Yes, I recommend this product.
