Nice and pretty but defective

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With the 17" model (which is $1,000 cheaper) out of stock, I chose this one to see how I could handle the 15". I was pleasantly surprised how the screen was even though I knew it would take time getting used too. The resolution is so much better and bright. But within the first hour of use, I was sitting on the couch and my lap got REAL HOT. The laptop I wanted to replace is the one I'm using to write this review (2021 MSI GE75 Raider) doesn't get hot on my lap for at least a few hours. I fired up League of Legends to see how it would run and surprisingly did well without changing any settings. Only lag was connection issue, not computer. But I am saddened to find a DEAD PIXEL about smack dab in the middle of the screen after less than 3 hours of use. Not good, MSI. Therefore this is being returned defective.
