if I could zero stars I would. First of some of the aesthetics are a bit to be desired the wifi antenna plug were with installed at an angle or the Iso shield was. Number two the standoffs for the M.2 cover were loose and that is not what I paid almost 400.00 for. Then comes the biggest issue, after setting up bios per MSI instruction via their website and YouTube I installed my usb drive to install windows, go to select the drive, just flashes at me, update bios try again same thing, reset cmos and reinstalled the bios update same thing. This isn't my first or 2nd build it's like my 10th so I know my way around this stuff quite well but this is probably the last MSI motherboard I will probably buy again. For as long as they have been around this is unacceptable I will just take my money and buy from ASUS again. like they say you get what you pay for

Would give 0 stars if I could. I've had nothing but problems with this board from day I bought it, The BIOS isn't even remotely intuitive, the flash drive that came with it to load drivers etc. on initial boot was empty, and the board has degraded to a point where it doesn't recognize my GPU now after 3.5 months. I was a little skeptical to buy it due to issues I've had w/ MSI products in the past... should have trusted my gut.

Bought this with other items for a new pc build and this (and all the other msi brand stuff) was dead on arrival.

This board looks great but I cant get it to work for my 13900kf. Everytime I try to boot it, i get the red CPU light on the board. I'm not sure what's causing that error. This should support any 13th gen cpu

I have owned this board for 6 months. Ever since i built my computer, I have had horribly slow download speeds. The board also throttles my internet speed by 50% even with wifi. I pay for 1 Gbps internet and only get 500 Mbps download. From what i have see is there is an issue with the i225 and i226 chipsets in the Z790 boards. I would highly suggest choosign a different board especially at this price point.

Do not do business with MSI. 2 faulty motherboards and 8 hours of constant troubleshooting. What should’ve been a new PC build that took 4-6 hours has turned into a complete nightmare. I seriously will never do business with MSI and I will always try to warn people from doing business with this company. They also have the absolute worst customer service and they don’t try to help at all. Terrible, terrible business!!

This board had 3 dead on arrivals before going with a better board

Bought one, didn't work , returned it, bought another one thinking it was faulty. Ends up the motherboard itself has had issues after issues according to web forums so not surprised.

Won’t boot, badDIMM slot, CPU pins bent and this was supposed to be a “brand new” MoBO. And of course because I buy my parts slowly rather than dumping a few thousand at one time, I’m outside the return window of 14 days and left with a $300 paper weight.

Not a good board. Would only boot up cold. Didn't come with a manual. BIOS update was a nightmare.

I'm always satisfied and often impressed with the build quality and thoughtfullness that goes into MSI's designs. This board is no exception, and it comes equipped with far more utilities and features than I could ever hope to use. My only concern was the pricepoint, which at Best Buy sits higher than most other competitors, but I needed one same-day and that's the price you pay for these things.
