ve been blown away by this card's performance. Every game I've thrown at it runs at ultra settings with buttery smooth framerates, even at 4K. Temps stay impressively low thanks to the excellent cooling design, and the fans are whisper quiet under load. Build quality feels premium with a sturdy frame and nice aesthetics that fit perfectly in my case. The installation was straightforward, and the RGB lighting is subtle yet beautiful. If you're looking for top-tier performance and efficiency, this card delivers in every way.

I built a new 9800x3d rig to replace my 11900k/3080 setup. I was able to get my hands on a 4080 Super for a month while I waited to snag a 5080 drop here on Best Buy. The 5080 is an incredible upgrade, even over the 4080 Super. I am able to get 23.6% more frames compared to the 4080 Super on stock settings out of the box. Compared to the 3080 at stock without frame gen, it has a 57% performance increase.
When it comes to comparing performance with DLSS Frame-gen turned on at max settings for the 4080 Super and 5080, the 5080 has a 105% performance boost. Absolutely incredible.
This card is also about 30% smaller by volume and is about 40% Lighter than the 4080 Super. It may even be lighter than the evga 3080 I had in my old machine.
It was definitely a worthwhile upgrade for me from the 3080 and I still believe that it is a worthwhile upgrade over the 4080 Super. The 4080 Super still didn't have the power for me to make gameplay smooth at 4k. The 5080 gets a solid 80-100 fps on most of my intensive 4k games, which is plenty for a smooth gaming experience.
Some light coil whine, but every graphics card has it, and it doesn't really bother me at this point. There's always cranking up the case fans and wearing headphones. Price could be a couple hundred cheaper but we're living in 2025 and it is what it is at this point.

I really have no regrets on this purcahse right here. No coil whine, powerful performace, easy overclocking (i got it to 3200 mHZ easily). Much smaller than my old 4070 TI gaming trio.

Finally decided to upgrade from my 3080 to a newer card and grabbed this MSI 5080. Absolutely love it! Installed easily and gave me noticeably better performance. Plus having the frame generation is pretty cool. Good choice. Price is high but I did get it on sale.
Quality: MSI has been good to me so far. No complaints with build quality or the quality of the graphics card itself.
Performance: This is probably similar with all of the cards in this range but it performs really well. Can max out many of the games I play and it has no issues pushing it out.
Throw an extra in here for visual appearance of the card. I went with a less RGB setup for my computer build but the very small accent lighting on this card is nice. The front has small lines and the side has the logo lit up.
Overall this is a good choice and will satisfy any gamers needs.

This card fits my NZXT H510 elite perfectly, no gap at all, 1mm ahead is my AIO pump. Great look, although I hope I could got a white one. Great performance, didn’t missing ROPS lol. Only drawback is some diffuser fins are bent once I received it, however it seems doesn’t affect daily usage.

Great card definitely better than paying 2k on a 5090 also make sure you use the x.m.p to make sure you have enough memory speed to keep up while overclocking, card is alot thinner then i was expecting but overall love the design and cooling potential definitely recommend having it horizontal vertical installation i saw it was a couple degrees hotter

The MSI RTX 5080 Gaming Trio OC is hands down the best graphics card I’ve ever owned. It runs every game flawlessly at max settings, delivering insane performance with smooth frame rates. Even under heavy load, the temperatures stay impressively cool, and I’ve had zero issues with overheating or stability. Whether for gaming or creative work, this GPU is an absolute powerhouse. Best purchase I’ve made—highly recommend!

I originally purchased an Asus Tuf 5080 at launch and had to return it due to extremely loud coil whine. I managed to get this one from Best Buy after the return and could not be more pleased with it. The performance is excellent and it makes virtually no noise even under load which was a huge plus for me after dealing with the insane whine from the Tuf card. Prices are a definitely on the high end but there’s really no competitor this card aside from getting a 5090

I never used anything from MSI until now with this 5080. 5090s are impossible to get so settle on buying this for now. So far I’m impressed with the card from the aesthetics to performance. I’m happy with my purchase and my micro m-atx build paired with 9800x3d. On COD playing ultra, DLSS to balanced and RT on I get 300 FPS. I use the Asus Rog Strix 32 QD - OLED monitor and it looks beautiful. So far so good!

This card is an absolute monster! I upgraded to the 5080 Gaming Trio and it crushes everything I throw at it — 4K, max settings, ray tracing, you name it. Temps stay low, fans are super quiet, and performance is buttery smooth. The build quality feels premium, and the RGB is subtle but clean.
Pairing it with my OLED monitor made games look unreal — the colors and motion are just next level. Definitely worth every penny if you want top-tier performance without compromise.

The price is worth the performance. If you're going to upgrade to this from a lower performing card definitely get a new power supply as well. Crushes everything I have played. Also came with a key for Borderlands 4. Little added bonus

Card works great, was a nice buy to not get scalped for nearly 2K. But tbh with it being like 40% over MSRP and the low MSRP of the 9070xt. Its not really worth buying this card. Its a good choice if you *really* need RT performance, *really* want DLSS, or you *really* need a bunch of extra juice to push you barely over the line to your fps target in a game you’d like to play.

Able to get over 530fps even 700fps at times on Ready or Not with settings maxed at 1440p. Temp stays very good, highest I've seen is 67°C. Most games stay about 55°C or less. Don't look back when gaming at insane FPS with 4x frame gen. Cpu I'm using is the 13900k.
