Purchased this item as a gift for my 8 year old daughter, and she LOVES IT! The purchase on www.bestbuy.com was easy from my mobile device, the item was received ahead of schedule (at the busiest time of the year), and the item was BETTER than advertised. You can't possibly imagine what a 24" tablet is like to use and for a child of a techy it was a dream come true. This product is a REAL ANDROID tablet, you can purchase Apps/Movies/Games from Google Play it operates exactly the same as any other Android tablet, it just has an added Nabi childrens interface into the OS, but in Parent mode it is the same as any other Android tablet. Very weird playing Candy Crush on a 24" screen lol.

Great size & games for kids all Ages and parents too!

This thing is a leviathan both in size and weight. It could be used as a small coffee table in a pinch. Be aware that a smaller child may have trouble wielding this, and could easily drop it if they try to transport it on their own. Let's start with the pros: It's a giant tablet and it's kind of cool to play with. Although marketed toward kids, it can be used just like a giant android tablet by adults. It would be better if they made this transition more seamless, but it's good enough to use for streaming video in a pinch. Also a nice feature is the addition of passwords so your child can't access things you do not want them to. On to the cons! Battery life. I believe battery life is as good as it can get, and any further increase would result in an unwanted weight increase. If this thing isn't plugged in you have about an hour. Seriously. Also, as far as education goes- there are some problems. During a game of hangman (the category was US History) the first two answers were Vivaldi and Berlin. Antonio Vivaldi was born in Italy and died in Austria before the United States was even a country, and Berlin is the capital of Germany. So educationally, it would be better to send your kids to public school and that's saying something. Other than that, problems are minor: typing is weird to get used to, Android OS are usually all a bit janky but all in all it is a nice tablet. I would not recommend this for small children due to size/weight.

Hi All, I read reviews before purchasing that had battery life at 30 minutes or so, We run sometimes for an hour unplugged- and typical use has us at about 24% at that point/ We did let SPOTIFFY run for 2 to 3 hours once just fine- but the screen is perhaps the most power hungry thing- and it shut itself off. **We do have the POWER SETTINGS on the middle of the three choices (simple choices/ simple approach). **most often we run in DADDY MODE since I really bought it for myself- we do NETFLIX over our WIFI and I did get my 14 year old playing Chess with me on it too. **I am interested to see my Mom interact with it when she visits in the future- she used to like some computer games, but the big tablet may be more her speed now. We also do YOUTUBE, we get some pausing it may be for processing the high def, or it could be our own WIFI at times too. IT IS BIG, SO BIG, MY WIFE REPURPOSED MY EASEL so, we have the BOTTOM on the Easel rail, and at the top, she put large S- Hooks holding the handle. So, that set up makes it ideal as a second screen around the house- and helps secure it a bit too (although the frame has a built in stand that is ok/ SPEAKERS ARE ON THE BACK, however, it has a standard small headphone jack, and we plugged it into our stereo from there. *I am Picky about UN-PLUGGING since old school devices would over-charge/ over-cook the battery/ so, once I recharge to 100% then I unplug before shutting down. STARTING UP IS ODD/ PERHAPS THE CAPACITOR IS UNDERSIZED- I DO HAVE TO TAP THE ON MORE THAN ONCE, / so, that is an oddity I spotted in other comments before buying/ and such- it's not too TOO annoying, just a bit/ / THEN I REALIZED, I should have considered the 20" one in case I wanted to CARRYON to a PLANE. **If I ever have to train small groups on how to use an APP for ANDROID/ I think I would used one of these tablets. -quite nice for many purposes/ some quirks here and there.

The other reviews about battery life are pretty dead on, but this thing isn't really made to be taken on car rides. It's GIANT! Great features like chore lists, configurable sleep times (can only be used between xx and xx) and tons of other settings you control add to the wonder. The "parent mode" is also great. Love it!

I was a bit concerned about the price of this tablet but it was worth every penny! My kids ages 9 and 2 LOVE it. Great battery life, awesome picture, and came preloaded with content. I love that it has it's own built in stand and you can watch upright or flat. Works plugged in also unlike the small Nabi Jr where my daughter has a melt down with the battery is depleted. My friends and family have started purchasing after their kids have tried ours. You won't be disappointed.

I would recommend this tablet for anyone with poor vision, tho it is designed for children, all that stuff is easily removed and then it is a wonderful media device, great book reader as well. The only real weak point is the audio, the quality is good but the speakers are on the back and volume is marginal. My only complaint is no usb port unless you spend 10 more dollars and order a nabi to usb adapter.

Love all the pre-loaded games on this tablet. The OS runs smooth and the touch is very sensitive. Battery life isn't the best but this device should be more thought as a home computer that always needs to be plugged in, but you can unplug it and play with it on the couch for short periods of time. Setting the default mode to Parent mode makes it just like any other tablet for adult use.

I love it. I watch alot of YouTube and my husband plays a couple of video games on it. It is not just for kids. The sound is not that great so I just bought an extra speaker for it and now it sounds great. The picture is good for what it is. Glad I bought it.

My wife and I play a lot of games with it in the evenings. Bingo, Family feud, etc. It's big enough to see without squinting. If there was any room for improvement it would be a better audio/speaker set up. It's not very loud.

Since we have 4 kids this is the perfect way that they can all play and not cause a big fight. The only downside is the battery but we don't let them take it anywhere so leaving it plugged in is no big deal. Great games available and good for all ranges.

We love playing board games, but do not love the mess the kids cause pulling them out. Now they have a way to play games and to put even more fun into game time. The bonus is the ability to do homework and to learn the tablet is more versatile than they thought. It was an instant hit with the kids. They enjoy the number of applications available and the size lets them enjoy the games more since they can both easily see what is going on. The only downside over smaller tablet is for the smaller child (four years old) it is more of a luggable than a portable item, but that is a good thing in some ways (not getting lost for example0.

This tablet works pretty good and is easy to navigate. I only wish there were more of the original apps available for free usage given the high price tag of the device. I also wish my son could enjoy his ABC Mouse app without outside internet access. This tablet should definitely have built-in wifi or at least come with a data plan, this would make it more efficient.

It is awesome for the kids to play and watch shows on. Small issue with the battery keeping a charge, contacted nabi and the problem was fixed.

Screen is huge and the interface is great for kids. There were a bunch of pre-loaded kid-oriented games and we easily modified those as some were too babyish for my 7 and 9 year olds. Using Parent Mode, I was able to download other apps through the app store and put them into Kid Mode. I put Sling TV on it and now my kids use it as a nice TV as well. We've had it for a month and my kids love it. Strongly Recommend!

We bought this for our 4 and 5 year old. They love it so much. The battery is not that great. You would think the battery would last longer. Bigger device, bigger battery?

Kids LOVE it...lots of educational games/programs. I would have given it 5 stars but for the battery life...seems a little short but still had hours of fun for the kids.

My daughter loves the Nabi. The big screen is great for games. She could play by herself or with her brother:-)
