    Great Kids Tablet

The Nabi Dream Tablet has a Mommy/Daddy mode (is password protected) and a Children's mode (can be customized for each child). It is pre-loaded with children's games (are mostly oriental, but enjoyed), and has great learning programs (you have to pay for most); however, you can choose what to take off. In Parent mode, you can add Android apps from the internet like a regular tablet into the children's mode. Great change from previous model: screen is 1" larger, speakers are in front & has back & front cameras; however, because they are planning to come out with new apps in future (on similar programs); they don't allow you put Iheart Radio & others in Children's mode; although, it is preinstalled in Parent mode when you purchase the tablet. Very easy for even 1-2yr old to navigate and learn from free apps (Amazon, Google, Mobile1, etc.).

My daughter loves this tablet. I got it for her 4th birthday, although it says for ages 6+ she learned how to use it in less than a day.

I've bought 3 Dream Tabs one for each of my three granddaughters. I've had to take them all back, one at a time, to get a replacement. One I've taken back once, the other two I've taken back twice. This has been in a one year time period and less. The first one was bought in May '15, the second one was bought in October '15 and the last one was bought in November '15. Thank God for the Geek Plan. I'm about to take them all back for a full refund and get something else, somewhere else. As I type the third one I bought has locked up AGAIN, nothing I do will get it going again. So I'll be taking it back for yet ANOTHER replacement. Can you imagine how disappointed the girls are when theirs is froze up and they all can't play together on them? Very disappointed in this product.

Got one for my son's 6th birthday and he loves it. Uses it every day! My 4 year old daughter loved it so much that I had to buy her one too. So may educational options. Love the parental controls which makes it super safe for kids. Love the fact that it can grow with them as they mature and no longer need the kiddie games etc. Occupies them for hours with fun and education programs/apps. Worth my money! Only problem is that some games/programs don't work when traveling because you may not have access to WiFi.

I really like the tablet. It is a little to difficult for my toddler to use. And I have struggled with setting it up. It doesn't work well without WiFi. It has many apps and neat features. I would definitely recommend it but not for a child under 5.

The parent function is easy to use and the tablet is easy for my 6 year old to use. It seems to be sturdy and even though a pen is provided, it is not required for use. The camera seems to take nice pictures. I bought screen protectors based on reviews saying the screen scratches easily but I have not experienced that or even put them on yet. I was disappointed there wasn't more pre-loaded video content but what is provided is interesting. I haven't subscribed to nabi at this point as she seems to find enough to keep her busy from the google play store. The layout of the pages is a little confusing but once you get used to it navigation is easy.

I bought this product for my daughter. It is easy for me to navigate through it, but it is harder for her as she is very young. I love she is being exposed to android, as apple IPAD is easier to navigate compared to Android. The battery life is not long but it works for us because we don't want our kid playing too much with the tablet. I like the timer option too. There is a small fee to unlock most of the programs, The camera is not so great compared to the IPAD. Right now we are just happy with it. I would rather they make it lighter,I find it is heavy for my kid.

The tablet is great, very durable however the battery life is not very good. My 7 year old uses it under normal conditions and it goes dead within 2 hours. I am not sure if I got a bad battery or what but that seems pretty quick. Other users have said the same thing. I guess you are weighing the good with the bad. #1 selling feature was parental controls, which allow you to set time limits on usage and also create things like a choir chart.

I bought two nabi's for my kids. Overall I am pleased with it, but have two disappointments. First, the Nabi lacks an hdmi output. It does have the ability to do screen mirroring to a compatible TV or streaming device, but this has significant lag even with a strong wifi connection. Second, the statement that you can expand storage through an SD card is misleading in my opinion: you can only use the SD card to store your own personal photos and media, and cannot use it to store apps or movies you download through Googleplay or Vudu or a similar service. The documentation is also extremely lacking (almost nonexistent). I also cannot get the App Zone, a proprietary service for downloading apps and movies, to work. This is not a deal breaker for me because Google play works great with the tablet. Apparently the issue with the App zone is that the address you enter must exactly match the address on your credit card: but I did that (and tried various combinations of upper and lower case text) and no combination works for me. Aside from those issues, the tablet is great: great picture, reasonably fast performance, nicely responsive touch screen, and great support via Google play. It has a solid, well-made "feel" and the soft red bumpers are a nice plus.

My husband and I purchased two of these tablets for our grandchildren (ages 4 & 5). While visiting our home, the grandkids naturally wanted to play games on our Laptop PC. We oblige their requests to an extent by focusing more so on learning than playing, but felt nervous about damage repeated child play could inflict on our PC. After scouring the Internet for a product that could supplant on our PC, I came across a number of reviews on the Nambi 16gb child's tablet. We then stopped by Best Buy for a hands on look. After holding the tablet in my hands I noticed it felt quite sturdy. Additionally the tablet featured a rubber bumper than entirely surrounded the tablet so an accidental drop would not damage it. Additionally the bumper would comfortably fit into our grandchildren's hands. After our satisfactory review of the physical tablet, our next task was to review the included software. We were not disappointed. The software was child focused, featured parental controls, and included preloaded educational and entertaining apps. All things considered, the Nambi tablet offered all the features we were looking for: rugged, rubber bumper surround, child focused software with parental controls. By the way, our grandchildren just love their Nambi tablets. With that said, what are you waiting for. Buy one (or two)!

My son is extremely good with electronics and loves to play and learn with them. Having said that, it was a nightmare before we bought this tablet. We have owned a Nexus 7, and another android table and bought just about every app that offered a "lock out" system to keep your children from accessing parts of the OS and apps that could cause damage to the system or let them access things they shouldn't. My son found a way out of every single one of them. After about the thousandth time of taking the tablet from him for being in apps he wasn't allowed to use we decided it was time to get something built for kids from the ground up. I'm happy to say that after several months this tablet has successfully thwarted every effort he's made to get outside of the "Nabi" area for kids. Paid apps won't work without parental confirmation and there are a million other features that just make this perfect for a child. On top of that, it's a full featured android tablet for adults as well with full access to the Play Store. We bought this tablet on sale but if I knew then what I knew now I would have gladly paid full price for it as well. Its extremely well built inside and out and does everything that everyone in our family needs. Absolutely perfect.

I bought his tablet for my 4 years old daughter. She loves it, very kid friendly. She likes to draw and color with the pen, watch movies (netflix), or play some of the games included (fruit ninja). She knows how to operated it, and only requires my help when she wants to download a new game (parent mode). They only negative is the battery life, it dies rather quick, but for this price it's a minor thing!

Overall I like the nabi however I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the insurance plan. My child is 3 years old and highly active. She LOVES her Nabi and carries it everywhere with her. You can download a lot of educational free games from Nabi as well as goggle for your child to learn. However that being said my daughter is VERY active. In less than 1 year we have been through 3 Nabi's. The first one we bought had a defective charging port and eventually stopped charging. The 2nd one we bought my daughter dropped it when bouncing on the couch and it stopped working. The 3rd one was left charging in the sun and it apparently over heated and stopped working. If I did not have the insurance plan through Best Buy my daughter would not now have her Nabi. I looked at and even bought other ones but they are even cheaper than the Nabi and only lasted a day!! Overall its the best out there right now and just happy I bought the extended warranty. However just be aware cannot leave in the sun as gets over heated, do not drop too much or stops working, and cant keep the unit plugged in or also stops working ):

This tablet is an excellent device for kids. It comes with lots of useful and instructive apps. It is designed for kids but has a parent mode that can be use like normal tablets. Downsides are that the tablet is heavy, it feels like 5 pounds even though it is like around two. And battery life could have been better. It gets in between 3 and 5 hours. Overall god product for the price

My granddaughter is pretty smart(reads at fifth grade level) and I was worried that this might not challenge her as she is used to playing on my wife's I pad but she loves it. She likes all the games and she plays with it every night. The unit has a good screen and sound with the only negative being its weight but that doesn't seem to bother her at all.

We got this for my 7 year old for Christmas and he loves it! He easily navigates through all the apps. My only complaints are the battery life and there is not as much storage as we need for some of his favorite apps, which are large. I put a memory card in, but you can't transfer the apps to it, it will however hold music and photos.
