Got my first home stereo system - Sanyo in the early 80's, Circuit City in Atlanta. It was pretty awesome during my teenage years. Came with 2 12's floor speakers. Seen and heard a lot of systems in my time and this Nakamichi shockwafe takes the cake. This system is Excellent with sound bar, satellites and subs ! Love it. Get up every day ready to crank it up !! Very clear at any volume. No distortion. Very tight and deep bass. Any music is Superior once you dial it in with remote. Small learning curve. Awesome pair of 10 inch wireless subwoofers. Sound bar and satellites are very loud. Sounds great with music streaming Bluetooth !! Movies in Dolby Atmos are off the chain !! Puts you directly into the movie. Helicopters, Chris Pratt - Tomorrow War - sound effects are Truly Unbelievable, Jurassic Park T-Rex walking very intense. Try every dinosaur movie on Prime, promise you want be sorry. Will have you moving and shaking, scared, squirming in seat with a Pounding in your chest. Heard sounds I've never heard before. Neighbors are beginning to dislike me. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Worth every bit of the thousand dollar + price tag. It's a long way from the old Sanyo in a good way.

I usually don't review stuff but i have to say, this Home theater is worth my time. The Nakamichi system is just insane. Is like having the Movie theater in your own room. The quality is Impressive, the sound the Bass the 360 sounds is just Amazing. If you're on the Market looking for a Home Theater and a Great Experience while watching not just Movies but any content in General. This is it, this is the one and Only. You will not regret this Purchase. This is my 2nd Purchase, i have ine in the living room and the other one in my room. I Love Nakamichi, you will too. King of Sound

For the price, you absolutely can’t beat the system. Playing music. It literally turned our house into a dance club and it brings full surround and depth to every movie you watch. The bass is amazing but any review of this system will tell you that. Worth every penny.

1 word..."Insane". This can't be sound bar. I purchased the jbl 1000 and this one. There is no comparison!!! Had around 10 people do a comparison with me on both sound bars and it was 10 to 0 for this one. It literally shakes the whole house when we were watching 300. Then the music coming out of this is crazy. Worth the money! Bottom line!

Just hooked this up last night, had some issues with the rear speakers and called company. Unbeknownst to me some older movies do not have surround sound. When we changed it to a newer movie the rear speakers sprung into action! You can also toggle with the surround sound features or just keep it on the stereo settings to have the sound bar and the rear speakers blast, base is phenomenal! We had the JBL 9.1 with the 10" woofer and replaced it with this, the two 10" woofers on here make all the difference, almost too loud, shakes the floor! Which is always a good thing!

This is an amazing sound system. As close as you can get to a full home theater system. The customer care team is phenomenal. This system is also the most adjustable system to your needs since you can control the surround sound and the rear sound among center and LR channels. The sse technology gives you all the elevation effects. Worth every penny plus more. The bass is the most powerful bass in the industry

My Goodness, my perfect sourround sound, perfect in every aspect. But, they have to eventally make the the back and surround speakers wireless the subroofers(2) are wireless but you have to plug those speakers into them. Its okay cause there is no disruptions less issues. Beautiful system especially when it comes to movies. Once you set up the sound its like being A movie theater for real.

Amazing system, I looked into so many systems, and after much research this decided on this one. The customer support is amazing, the system itself has so many ways you can set it up. If you take the time to dial it in and make a few presets you wont be disappointed whatsoever. Furthermore the best buy employee Roy deserves a raise. This system exceeded my expectations.

Nakamichi Shockwaves 9.2.4 is an awesome with immersive sound production. I read the review and purchased mine. It's an incredibly sound bar.

This is an amazing sound system. The dipole setup works great with our entertainment area. Whether we're watching movies or playing games, this sound system does it all.

Order came on time and fast. I was pleased with the process.

The first thing I noticed when i got the new system out of the box was that the whole system now has an all matte black finish and bronze logos which looks very sleek but most of all I was very impressed by the much improved look of the subwoofers and the new remote. On top of that the soundbar also has a new LED screen! First of all, I'm really happy with the new soundbar system and I think Nakamichi has really listened to their customers and made some dramatic enhancements to an already great system! Which is why I do want to first comment on a few slightly negative comments on the price upgrade that I have read already. I do understand that your comments are before you have experienced the new system and I do understand that for some people every bit of money can mean a lot but also you have to understand how much prices have gone up these days and how much this company has probably dumped into new research and algorithms and drivers and a new remote and more to actually do what people and customers had asked of them! So as a consumer here is a company that is doing what customers are asking! And yes the center channel is much more powerful much! And the bass and subs are louder and stronger! Most importantly I can tell they have a brand new audio algorithm into this thing and it makes it such an impressive upgrade! I would also think obviously new and more powrful drivers. I would totally recommend the new system first of all for sure as it took the place of the previous model and took my home theater to the next level (again). If you are undecided and came to my review, do yourself a favor and buy it and try it out as you will not regret it! Anyways, looking at the bass, the previous 9.2 was already the best option in the market but the new subs on the 9.2 eARC have blown me away and Im really happy. Bass is deeper, clearer, louder, more accurate, and it just hits harder, and I actually had to fix some of my wall art better after testing it out. The surround sound, ambient sound and algorithm they put into this has my surround sound going crazy around my room . It has way more sound going around the room like objects are flying all around my room literally about 70% more sound moving around and has taken my home theater experience to a completely different level! Rewatching Unbroken and Dunkirk and many more movies that I watched on my previous sound bars, I heard many new details that I really never knew existed and the directions of where the sound effects were moving towards were much clearer and way more directional. The part in the opening scene where the fighter jet flies from left to right felt so real as though I was in the cockpit. The explosions and gunfire felt much cleaner and harder on the new subwoofers like I was in a warzone and it got me more excited and tensed up I was loving it more than ever. I dont usually listen to music, but the music scenes I heard in my movies were so clear that it felt like I was actually in a concert, especially the vocals and everything sounds richer and more vibrant and much better than before. Music playback performance is definitely on another level as well. I would mostly think this is because of a new algorithm of how it reads and outputs sound and new drivers to do the work! The new remote is probably the best remote control I’ve seen in a surround system and many of you will probably want to know more so here are a few answers. Over the past couple years I’ve noticed that some owners have had to point their remotes at a certain angle towards the bar to get it to respond. With the new remote, there is a significantly larger glossy area for the sensor at the top of the remote and I can now control the soundbar even from the corners of my living room. The responsiveness is much improved as well. Also, the new remote has larger buttons with colors making the controls more instantly recognizable without having to scan through all the buttons to find the right one. Feels more modern with larger buttons and brighter and cleaner backlit keys, making it more user-friendly. The backlit keys are also brighter so controlling it in the dark is a breeze.
