It is probably me, but I am struggling with the shooting meters. Either early or late. Just haven't figured out the timing. Otherwise, game play and graphics are very good. Love the ability to play some half court street ball too. Now if I can just get the timing down...

The NBA 2K's are always great basketball games, you start a career and work your way thru the Teams, or play head to head with friends. Fun and addicting even if your not a basketball junky.

Great basketball simulation, with one drawback

The game itself is magnificent. The NBA 2k series has long been the best basketball game for anyone looking for simulation type of play. Everything seems to be perfected with each version and 2k19 is no different: extensive, detailed, perfected. As with previous versions, though, there is still one thing I am experiencing, which was happening at least since 2k16, which was my return to the series after a few years of not having time to play games: connectivity issues. Almost every day I have the same problem with connecting to 2k servers (which are online according to their website), which doesn't allow me to fully leverage the great gameplay this product has to offer. I've no idea why is it like that. I had the same thing in Europe, I have the same thing here in the US. It's getting tiring. But otherwise than that - this is the best basketball game on the market. If you want a basketball game, there's nowhere else to go. NBA Live doesn't even scratch the surface compared to this one.

Love this game. I play it with my brother online... talk trash like MJ and LeBron. Excellent game play makes you feel like you're in the action.

Maybe I’m just getting too old for this game but I have issues, sold it today; too frustrated. It’s the same game as last year with new rosters. Play Now mode online is the most authentic mode, but I get a little tired of using players that I think aren’t properly rated. More on that later. However play now mode is for the sim players the old school guys that appreciate authenticity. Now to the rest of it. Do you care about career mode? There’s a few versions of that honestly I don’t think anyone cares about this mode and 2K seems to put all their energy into this mode which I don’t get because all we do is burn thru the story to upgrade our player. I never even played on the park and I could have had big fun there be players already had 90 overall players on release day that’s rediculous. Why didn’t I try Park because I couldn’t find it I think you have to unlock it after prelude and prelude was punishment goingbthru like I said I don’t care to play the cpu just multiplayer. So I played a little single player challenged with my team that’s what I played for three weeks before I just sold it. Here why I did...I am good at the game but I’m facing guys that have stacked rosters cuz they bought the $100 LeBron edition. So eventhough I’m good at the game I’d get beat cuz I was facing monster teams. I was running with DMitchell, KD, Gobert, all 84/85 but they are only sapphires these guys already have Ruby’s and Amytyst and some have Diamonds. Cuz they bought them off VC or earned them thru single player, but I’m so stubborn I didn’t want to play cpu all day i want to crush souls online lol. So I mainly played triple Threat Online which is basically a really bad form of gauntlet; why not bring back Gainlett 2K this stinks. Anyway you play a game and unlock palinka balls to drop down for measly prizes you rarely get anything good. Honestly I must have paid 200 games of Triple Threat and the best rewards I ever got were 2 diamond shoes, 1 unlimited contract and I unlocked a bunch of badges that’s it you have to get all 5 balls to get the better stuff never got there cuz the opponent was too stacked. So you guys are thinking Ibstink right i promise I don’t here’s the problem I’m a great defender, but all they do is pass when i lock up, and besides the horrible fouling in this game where only 10% fouls get called they have automatic D on AI this year so crappy defensive players like Steph & Harden that can’t guard a chair will lock you up as will every player in the game it’s so hard to score now because the cpu locks you up it’s really unplayable. Plus you can steal better than ever whenever transitioning, it’s silly. You also go out of bounds when you get next to the sideline or baseline my guess is there they don’t want you to cheese baseline so if you drive 25% chance your going out of bounds if someone is guarding you. So again it’s veey hard to score even if you have good players. LeBron is one of the few that can still force it baseline and make it but it’s a pain. This is more about setting picks and passing Ciz it’s juat that hard to get open it’s not much fun honestly. And I get mad too because the ratings are so poor and they been poured for a while they need to revamp the entire ratings for everybody in my opinion could you get players that aren’t three point shooters there knocked out sugars in the game because the rains are so goofy like rip it rip Hamilton for example is a 90 shooter from three he didn’t even shoot threes and a player like Baron and I get mad too because the ratings are so poor and they been poured for a while they need to revamp the entire ratings for everybody in my opinion could you get players that aren’t three point shooters there knock down sugars in the game because the rains are so goofy like rip it rip Hamilton for example is a 90 shooter from three he didn’t even shoot threes. Eddie Jones is 90 plus from three rarely misses he’s like a 95 overall KD why? Michael Finley card is 94 with a defensive stopper? He couldn’t play defense and why is he better than Michael Jordan? 94 is silly. They got Finley from going 12-0 in My Team but the only reason they did that is because they bought there success it’s about opening packs once again I’m tired of paying for players guys. I just remembered I paid $20 additionally for vc and my team still stunk. So if you like throwing down a bunch of cash for vc for your park player and my team go for it the new cpu AI will still drive you crazy but if you are tired of this same stuff and this new cpu AI lock up defense wait another year although I know it’s hard to pass but wish I would have on hindsight

Game graphics are on poin so much so that you can see the sweat on the players foreheads. At a quick glance you might think your watching a real live game.

2K is a solid video game that feels the same as it has for the past several years. Virtual Currency has killed the fun factor for me. But overall this game is decent feels the same as years past though nothing exciting or fresh.

I jumped back into this series after not playing it for 3 years. The gameplay is good with great visuals. The defense in this game is very inconsistent. When you tap the button it's either a foul or a steal. No in between. The progression in this game is atrocious. I have played half a season and my overall is a 67 with a Max of 99. The progression is very slow unless you buy their in game currency. It's an ugly feature in an otherwise good game.

I used to be really good at 2K, but dang they made it so hard I feel like I have to be an NBA player to understand & enjoy the game. The controls are wayyyy advanced for anyone under 18 or who never played basketball. It’s hard as crap to shoot the ball, the release is always late or early! The defense is hard to beat even on rookie mode. While I appreciate them trying to make the game realistic, this is too hard of a game to simply enjoy for casual fans of the game.
