I will be looking into the wareanty for repair or replacement, but I'm concerned our issues arent isolated.

The pods are a little on the high side but all you have to do is buy refill foils and reuse the ones you already with your own coffee. You just gotta make sure that the coffee grind is set to fine before refilling the pods.
