Works great so far. I first did install it by myself. I did have to contact nest support to get help since the way I set it up it did not work properly. Customer service was great.

Device works good except for wall attachment. Device connection to bracket is weak, so you have to use extra wall plate included if your wall is not exactly flat. Which means not as clean looking. Would be better if clips on device were stronger.

Excellent buy and very efficient. I don’t have to worry about setting my temperature anymore. This is the best thermostat in the world!

So... when I first installed the thermostat, it would connect to my network (my WiFi) but somehow it wasn’t able to connect to Nest servers... which is required in order to get an ‘entry code’. (The ‘entry code’ is required to connect your smartphone/tablet app with the thermostat and essentially enables the smart thermostat capabilities.) I searched online and several users on the Nest community forum had reported the same issue on the same weekend. Some had contacted support. We gathered that it was supposedly an issue with the Nest + Temp Sensor combo packs. Either way Nest had their engineering dept. working on the issue. After two days of not being able to get an entry key I uninstalled the unit and planned on returning it after work. Luckily I didn’t have to. Nest took the reports seriously and fixed the issue. They pushed out an update and when I got home I reinstalled the thermostat. The unit updated, and miraculously the update worked. Since then it’s worked as advertised with the app support/smart capabilities fully enabled. It’s awesome that the company quickly recognized the problem and fixed it. Saved me the hassle of exchanging it, and now I have Nest. Win win.

Very easy to use, and you can control it from your phone. Now I can start AC from anywhere (and come home to a nice cool place), or adjust it from the bedroom, or turn it off if I accidently forgot to turn the AC off. The new "Far-Sight" feature is awesome and can catch me at approximately 10 feet away even in the dark. When Nest detects any motion it will illuminate with what the current temperature is. This is how it can tell if you are home or not and can automatically place itself in "Away Mode" for energy savings. Is the main reason way I bought Nest... you can have it for more users.

I have used Nest thermostats for years, recently bought a new house and replaced three thermostats with the 3rd Gen Nest, including one of these with the remote sensor. Since the thermostat is in a doorway directly under the A/C vent, the actual temperature in the bed 15 feet away was never right. Installing the remote sensor on the other side of the room made all the difference. And setup was a snap.

I replaced a Honeywell thermostat with this product because I wanted to add some smarts to my heating and cooling energy use. Easy to install, but it does need a physical wire for every component of your HVAC. This can be a limiting factor if you have an extended setup (e.g. whole house humidifier). As yet I haven't run it long enough to see any savings, but it seems the furnace is running less than it used to. The Nest energy use reports to my email are great.

Best thermostat on the market. The easiest self install instructions and set up of any device!! Works like a charm!! So simple to use!

We've used this thermostat now for 8 months and it's been great! It was relatively easy to install - took about 30 minutes - most of which was reading the instructions. It quickly learned "our" schedule, yet is very easy to program directly if you want to. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a product that works well and can actually save you money.

This is my third thermostat for my other home. It is great to be able to see all the thermostat and settings in one place with nest app. Easy to install and the temp sensor works great in the bedroom where it is warmer/colder than the rest of the house. Great product!

My husband installed this with little to no trouble at all. We started using it right away. It took about one week to learn our schedule and then it was loaded in and using it for us. We enjoy the ease of adjusting the temp from our phones, especially when we are away from home.

If you don't own a smart thermostat, what are you waiting for? This thing is fantastic. Control your temps without leaving your couch! And it learns your tendencies, and sets up your schedule. Turn down your heat when you're not home, save money. Pays for itself!

Very easy to install with the instruction. You can control your home temperature virtually anywhere if you are connected to the internet. It works really well with Google assistant and I don't need to go downstairs anymore to turn on/off the heat.

We got this thermostat because of the ease of use and because it’s supposed to be Google Home compatible. It works great but unfortunately we still haven’t been able to connect it to our Google Home we actually just gave up and use the phone app to adjust. Works well once you’ve programmed it, but if you want to connect to Google Home hopefully you’ll have better luck than us.

My entire family has one of these in their homes. Easy to change the temp when you're away and the new temp sensor is a great for ranch-style homes that have rooms further away from the furnace

I'm very happy with the thermostat overall. It was easy to install and came with the optional mounting plate which helps to hide holes if you are replacing an old one. Setup was very easy with the help of the app and included instructions. I wavered between 4 stars and 5 because of a couple of minor irritations. One, it sometimes fails to know if we are away and won't go into ECO mode. Two, there are occasions when it somehow loses some of my schedule changes when it automatically adjusts the temperature up or down. These are minor things and compared to the value this thermostat provides I opted for 5 stars. I feel like this thermostat saves me money on my bills and we even bought one for an elderly relative.

It’s a smart thermostat, it can sense when your away, you can turn up or down the temp before you get home, it’s convenient. Is this one any better or worse than other ones? Idk. But this is easy to install and it works.

The display and settings features for this thermostat are awesome. I love NEST most for the way we can control it remotely from an app on our phones....this way, when we are about 30 minutes away, we set the temperature to cool or heat the home for when we arrive. The unit is pretty and was easily installed within about an hour right out of the box.
