A good option, but is there better?

While good, it seems to be hard of hearing often, either not hearing me at all or totally mistaking what I say. My old Google nest speaker was never like this. Sadly it finally but the dust.
Also I don't find the sound quality very good.
If i did it again, I would get a different option.
All this said, it mostly works well and does what asked.
Hi More4me, thanks for posting in your review. We're glad to hear that your experience with your Nest Audio has been great. We'd recommend checking the settings from your Google Home app to adjust bass and treble level for an even better experience. Here are some steps to adjust the sound quality:
1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Nest Audio. 2. Open the Google Home app. 3. Tap the device you want to adjust, and then Settings, and then Audio, and then Equalizer. 4. Adjust Bass and Treble level.
If you need further assistance with your Nest Audio, feel free to contact us on our Google Help page and our support specialists will be standing by to lend you a hand. You can reach our help page here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Great sound. Still learning to group for a full house sound system.

We have a lot of google items! I’m we got this item to use in the living room when someone wanted the listen to music. Even though we have other speakers around the house to use, this is just when you need to ask something or just want to use a speaker that a lot quieter then our bigger ones.

I was looking for a Google Home and was told this was the next version. The microphone is more sensitive than the Home. The volume setting seems lower. I'm disappointed as it seems this new version isn't quite as good. I wish that the Home model had the option of being paired with a second speaker for stereo (like this does).

Great sound quality, but Google Assistant is getting worse over time rather than improving. I'm abandoning the Google ecosystem in Favor of Amazon Alexa.

Such a great item I would recommend buying if you’re in the market for not only a speaker but the ability to control your smart devices from anywhere in your home

Google's got a ways to go. Soundwise its good for a standard speaker if you're just trying to get music. Nice and loud, lows aren't too heavy, mids and highs are just right for the price. Works as intended for a random speaker in your house. When it comes to bluetooth connectivity its lacking. My old small Sony XRB12 pairs with any device and has minimal sound delay. The Google Nest Audio has a very noticeable lag. I mainly wanted this as a higher utility alternative for, nojust music or asking google silly questions, but as a room speaker for a TV. I initially bought two and when paired together sound good, but the delay is even worse. You'd think with Googles market value they wouldn't have these issues.
Hi B12thechank, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing lags and delays on your Nest Audio.
Here are few steps you can try: - Make sure your device is getting enough signal from the router. Place it within the recommended distance (15-20 ft.) away from the router. - Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerator or other devices in your home that may weaken Wi-Fi signals. - Reset your device.
