The Nest Hub Max is like having a helpful assistant in your home. This charcoal-colored smart display fits nicely in most rooms and does a lot more than you might expect. The 10-inch screen is crisp and clear, great for watching recipes while cooking or checking your calendar. Video calls are a breeze - just say "Hey Google, call Mom" and you're connected. The camera quality is good, making it easy for friends and family to see you clearly. Sound-wise, it's impressive for its size. The built-in speakers and subwoofer pump out decent audio, whether you're listening to music or watching videos. Google Assistant is the star here. It responds quickly to voice commands, helping you set timers, control smart home devices, or get quick answers to questions. On the downside, privacy might be a concern for some. There's a camera and microphone involved, though you can turn these off. Also, while it's not cheap, it offers good value for what it does. Keep in mind, you'll get the most out of this if you're already using Google services or have other smart home devices.

Easy set up. still learning all the things that it can do. I have it set up in my kitchen so that I can watch, get updates, monitor things while I am cooking, washing dishes or cleaning.Much better than the old Google Home it replaced. Bass isn't as good, but we linked the old system in as a speaker and have the best of both worlds. Last Christmas I replaced both our daughters Google Home Hub with the Google Max. Last week I replaced my husbands and I also purchased myself one. The Google MAX does so much more than the smaller Google Hub. It has a camera and microphone making it easy to chat live with the Grandkids. I am still learning what all it do but I’ve learned that I can have Google find just about anything quicker than I can open an APP. Google even opens YouTube to my specified music or video. I love it. My husband uses his in bedroom for an alarm clock. I use mine mostly in living room studying. It is more expensive than the home hub but goes on sale making it affordable. It is larger and more attractive in both rooms.

I got this item after purchasing several google home cameras, a google nest thermostat and a google nest doorbell. It is customizable with pictures and the google voice assitant. It is great for hands free voice commands and even has the option for video calls. The only option for videocalls is through google duos though and my only critique is that it doesnt offer any other option for videocalls, like facebook messenger, because barely anyone uses google duos. It also has much better sound quality than I expected and at max volume can be heard anywhere in my 1500 sqft home. The coolest feature, in my opinion, is that it was say who is at your door based on the saved faces in the google app. It will also show you the doorbell video when someone rings it so you dont have to pull it up on your phone and can use the microphone feature from the hub. Its also touch screen so you dont need to use voice commands all the time. I use it mainly for pulling up YouTube videos or playing music on Spotify while I cook or clean because i have it placed on the counter of my kitchen. I think the price is about $50 higher than it should be but if you have spare cash and lots of google home devices(or devices that work with google assistant) it is worth getting as a way of bring you google devices together with a hands free control hub.

I can use this for my home and for my work! You can also use it to call just anout anyone even iphones and do facetime! I set up gopgle meet and voice for my son to use this for a free home phone! I bought mine full price! But it is still worth it and i can connect all my cameras and home appliences! I must say Google did very well! Im an apple user as i am a designer but i use google for my work emsilad and all pther work related apps and this just made my day go so much smoother! Price is def very high! But to have all that in one and google to assists you? Im super happy! Hopefully they upgrade the mini google hub tso you can make phone calls and facetime on that as well! I would most definitely get the smaller one for my sons room and for him to be assisted too!

I LOVE the Google smart home ecosystem and the Google Home Max is possibly the best product in the lineup. The speaker sound quality is good enough to rely on as the sole speaker in an average sized room. The video quality is great for vid calls on Google Duo and it looks like Zoom will soon be supported. I have two of these devices and because I love in a studio apt in SF with a separate kitchen, the tek devices not only serve as vid call devices, but also as large photo frames serving up either recent photos from Google Photos or a designated Google photo album. An added benefit that isn't often cited is security. The Google home max can recognize glass breaking sounds and alert the police if instructed and the built in nest cameras can alert you if an undesignated face passes by the camera. Also, like all nest cameras, you can view them from your phone when not home! I also love cooking with friends and family via vid chat. As I walk around my kitchen , the hub max nest camera follows me and zooms in and out as I move closer and father away. The hub also serves as a way to contol other devices like Phillips hue lights via an additional hue hub and Google speakers. You won't regret picking these up for your home!

This screen is the perfect size for the kitchen or family room. If you are into smart home tech or just want a great portal to memories and information this is a great choice for you. I own both the Nest Hub and the Nest hub Max and I love them both. After using the hub for over a year I loved the compact size and the quick access to my home automation but the lack of camera for calls and small size made it hard for use in our kitchen at any reasonable distance. In enters the Hub Max and we love it. Big screen but not too big, good quality sound from the speaker, and a great tool for the kiddos to call the Grand parents and family. The look is clean and simple allowing it to just blend in while displaying great quality pictures of recent memories. Since getting it up and running we find ourselves stopping to just watch old pictures and tell stories. The only real grip I have with the max is that the cam doesn't have a physical camera cover slide built in. For me not a deal breaker and the fact that the cam can also be used as a security cam when away really adds a big plus to this versatile system. I would definitely buy this if you are looking for something in a common area of your home and the regular hub as a display for a bedroom night stand.

I love these displays because not only do they work to control all of your smart home devices, they also act as a security camera and if you are inclined to do video calling or anything like that they work great as well. You Can watch YouTube or other streaming services as well and the speaker also has good sound quality. They are a bit pricey. However they function seamlessly with Google home in the Google nest app

I'm not a techie. I have purchased two Max Hubs. One I use in the kitchen and one in my bathroom. The one in the bathroom I like to watch YouTubeTv on in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. The one in the kitchen is my go-to hub for setting up reminders, controlling the temp in the house, talking to my kids on Duo, turn lights off and on, viewing recipes, checking the weather, listening to my favorite "oldies" when I'm cleaning house, and just in general the little conveinences it offers. Also find it fun to ask it questions. Do you know all the state capitols? I think I do now.

This little 10" gadget is many things rolled into one. A Hub for all of your smart devices including lights, plugs, locks, etc. A digital picture frame display, A Nest home security camera that you can video chat anyone with. Watch YouTube, Netflix, YouTube TV, The News, and weather all from this Hub. I use this every single day, definitely a great buy.

I love this thing. It looks and sounds great. The camera can track you like a human eye. My only complaint is that it looks like third party developers are dropping support. It came loaded with Zoom then that feature went away after an update. It’s worth the price of admission for the speakers alone. If you can get it on sale go for it!

Using the google nest hub make things easier like when I’m in the kitchen and someone ring or pass the doorbell it’s automatically show me someone is present and I can speak right from my hub to my camera and it’s very easy to use as well, but I’m planing getting another for my bedroom but the small one. I almost forgot to mention the setup process is very easy all you need is WiFi and the rest is a history from there.

Really brought together my Google home with the much larger screen. My kids love it and use it all the times to ask questions or play videos. Makes it very convenient that it has a camera and makes emergency calls or calls to grandma much easier. the Google home app really lets you tie in a lot of products to make your smart home smarter.

Although this is a relatively older device in the tech world, it’s still a very nice one! The gooogle assistant is fast and displaying photos is very nice. The display adapts with the lighting which helps the photos pop and look very clear. I particularly like that it does not show random ads as “suggestions” unlike the amazon echo show that I replaced. Highly recommend and the white model looks nice and clean.

I have had Alexa, Facebook portal and this google product is the best and easiest to use by far I enjoy the sound quality on the hub also the ability to connect my nest products to this device so easily was amazing my kids can communicate with me at any time and so easy for them use.

This is something everyone needs in their home especially upcoming in the next two years with what is coming out with matter. Matter will sync your whole household and this device comes equipped with it. It's features are perfect when it comes to screen size and everything it offers

I connected smart light bulbs in my home and it works great. Also this is becomes a good DJ when I need music played. The sound quality with the big display is satisfying. However, do NOT expect Gemini or chatGPT. Voice recognization sometimes is bad. This does not understand when I talk in simple word.

It works great. I never had a problem with a Google. It always responds every time you ask the question. Speaker works awesome. The screen is awesome. I use it for recipes to from displaying my pictures. I have connected to my lights I was response. I’ve just not had one issue with it yet goes great along with my Google TV.

I love it. The speaker sound sounds good and loud enough to enjoy your music. Video quality is also good. Overall, I made a great purchase. I highly recommend it.

I really like this as a photo frame.. but it is very expensive just for that purpose. I love that you can create shared albums of photos so others can contribute. But if you have to factory reset it for any reason apparently the shared album is deleted, which is incredibly inconvenient. I wish you could add other apps to it because having to cast to watch certain things on it is just annoying and sometimes glitchy. It being a google device it makes no sense you can't get on the play store and add things. Seems like they just don't want to make it capable of doing so to sell other devices. My biggest issue lately is I have had it less than a year and it has started freezing and rebooting itself. Any time I try to do anything on the internet it does this. When I am trying to read recipes it will do this. Just freezes and hard reset itself. I am really disappointed in it for that reason. I am not sure why but it is also hard to hear sometimes. It seems like the sound doesn't spread well I am not sure why. When we are cooking we really can't hear it. I wish you could Bluetooth a speaker to it that would be really helpful but you can't connect another speaker in any way. Overall it is decent and I do recommend it but not entirely sure it is worth the price of $230. Very glad I got it on a big sale.
