These little baby’s are amazing. They’re currently nested in a 1 story home that with around 5,000 square footage all the way around. There’s one in the living room in the center of our home, one in the bedroom on the west end of the home, and one on the east end of the home. This is with A LOT of walls in between. The signal strength has been reported as “excellent” on all ends after testing them out. We used these to replace the giant Xfinity box that we’re currently ‘renting’ which could probably only hold the signal strength of a one bedroom apartment. After installing a new modem and making sure a connection was established, these took no longer than 10 minutes to install. The app is user friendly and honestly very cool. I’m excited to save money from not having to pay for Xfinity’s box anymore and to be able to connect at any point in the house. Please go into Best Buy and don’t be afraid to ask the most un-intelligent questions. I received the best help from all employees in the store who went above and beyond to make sure I knew what I was getting, the difficulty of installation, and even how to cut ties with my provider on certain ends. I knew nothing about modems, mesh networks, etc. If there’s any con about this product, it would be the privacy. You can always change your privacy settings on the Google Home App however, but just something to be cautious for.

The router that came free from our internet provider is terrible. We have a small house, and couldn't get an internet connection for some of our kitchen appliances. As soon as we installed the Nest Wifi Mesh Router, our connectivity issues were gone. Even with just the 2pack, we have good coverage for the whole house. We're very happy with the purchase and it's super easy to install (even on an iPhone).

I purchased this product to replace a Netgear Nighthawk that was the main router which I used to DHCP the wired stuff in my office, which I had a Google WiFi 3-pack Mesh attached to that provided WiFi. Not being a "networking guy" I didn't realize it would make the wired and wireless units not visible to each other. So I replaced the Nighthawk with this upgraded Nest pair and meshed all 5 units. But before I "joined" the original Google WiFi units to this NEST mesh, I did a bunch of testing and I was blown away by the speed of these WiFi units. I have 100Mbps Cable Internet with 10Mbps upload. Using my cell phone and the built in speed test in the Google Home app, I constantly got 110Mbps down and around 10.5-11Mbps upload everywhere in the house. The tough spots were out in the garage, the driveway, and backyard, so I added the other 3 older Google WiFi units and now I have wireless that I believe is comparable to being wired. There are a few wired devices in my son's room which are now using the older Google WiFi unit and they're all just as fast as the wireless units. We used to use a Powerline adapter with a switch for his wired stuff and the speed was terrible. That's no longer the case with this router and the mesh. The best thing about this product is that it's Google Home Aware, so if you're "hey google" and not "alexa" it's a great choice. Plus the bonus with the WiFi Point is the built in speaker and Google Assistant. We replaced a tablet and bluetooth speaker with the Point in our kitchen and the sound is amazing. It's not designed to "crank up the volume" but if you want some background music in your home then this thing will satisfy for sure. All in all, I couldn't be happier with it. I took the Netgear Nighthawk out of service and now it's Google WiFi all the way.

This product works amazing. Setup was super easy and I have not had any connectivity issues since day one. If you run google assistant as your smart home then the nodes are awesome add-one as they double as a google mini. Read carefully tho as this has 1 main unit with a single Ethernet connector and 2 of the google mini nodes. A unmanaged nether net switch is an easy fix to only having the single Ethernet port. App is super easy to use. 11/10.

I have been a used of Google Wifi for the past 3 years and have been more than satisfied with it. I was starting to get some slow areas in my new house at times so I thought why not upgrade. I have a new ranch home that is about 2300sq. ft with the garage. Some of the things I really liked about the Nest Wifi over the Google Wif are as follows: Look is much sleeker and fits in better with our decor. Google Assistant built into the Wifi point. Ability to consolidate Google Wifi and Google Home app. together. Able to add Google Wifi points to Nest system. (I now have 4 wifi points in my 2300 sq. ft., probably overkill) Ease of setup. It probably took me 20 minutes to set up the system. It took about another 30 minutes to add my old wifi points to the system. I just ran a speed test and my 400mbps Spectrum internet is currently at 435mbps download and 19.3mbps upload so it is blazing fast. You can also ask the Assistant in the wifi point to run a speed test and it will repeat te readings back to you. If you have not used the Google Home app it is very intuitive and easy to use but you may have to dig down into some menus to find what you need. The ability to set up schedules for certain devices works well and I could turn off my Grandson's X-Box from Florida when he was in Wisconsin watching our house. The only drawback that I have found is the wifi point with Google Assistant built in did not seem to be hearing us very well when I had it in the area below a shelf in our tv console. As soon as I moved it out in the open more it works great. I am very satisfied with this system and highly recommend it to anyone unless you want to go in a tweak a bunch of settings which this does not allow.

Very easy set up, both the modem/router and the extender. I have coverage all over my house without any interference. I can easily monitor all activity going on with the nest. I can see my up and download speeds constantly, I see all the devices that are using the WiFi, I can control who has priority for the speed of the internet and I can set up schedules for my kids so they can’t use it during certain times. Great product and I will be getting the other nest accessories.

The speed is great, but constantly my point goes offline but it doesn’t say it’s offline, it just doesn’t output internet to my devices in the back of the house. Not sure why this happens.

I've tried cheaper options like non-mesh wifi extenders but was never satisfied. I was reluctant to pay more for a mesh system, but finally ended up doing it. It is day and night compared to my previous wifi extenders. Yes it is pricey but so definitely worth it! Better coverage throughout the house, simpler system (no more separated 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz networks) and much better speeds. I have a 3500 sq ft house and this is perfect.

This was a huge upgrade for the home and resulted in much faster internet speeds. The difference is night and day. It's a small house so I initially thought I only needed one, but my walls must be really thick so it was very helpful having the extra point. Setup was very easy. I wish the router had more ethernet ports for additional devices (I had to purchase a switch alongside it), but aside from that its a great product and highly recommend.

We struggled for years through countless traditional routers to get reliable coverage throughout our entire house. After having enough of our last overpriced solution, a Linksys WRT 1900AC, which also included several so-called extenders, we finally decided to try a mesh system. Whoa!! I don't understand the technology, and I don't care. It. Works. Amazing. Period. I first tried the Amazon eero mesh system because we're Amazon ppl. Not good at all. Constant disconnects and other frustrating problems. Returned it after a week. We then thankfully tried this Nest system. Incredibly easy to set up using the Google phone app. Went from unboxing to done in about 20 mins following the step by step instructions. After 2 months, not a single issue. I honestly forget about it, which is unbelievable given my previous daily frustration with connection issues. This system covers my entire 3,000 sq ft house, my backyard, and even reaches my detached garage. This was never possible before. As a pleasant suprsise, I discovered after a week that each Nest Point also works as a great sounding speaker and Google assistant ("Hey Google, what's the weather like today?") This system is incredible. I am SO happy.

Absolutely love how fast and reliable tHis router is. And the whole mesh network covers me anywhere around the house. Perfect if you have MANY devices connected at once and lots of smart devices. I am not using the assistant feature as I am an Alexa user and very used to it, but it is very nice to have an alternative if ever needed. The design is very sleek and classy and can blend in among anything. Definitely recommend

Mesh networks are a whole lot better than Wifi extenders. This new Nest Wifi mesh router works very well to provide entire house coverage. Setup is very simple. If you have WiFi performance or coverage issues, get one of these. If you need more ethernet ports I would suggest buying a separate ethernet switch in addition to this router. I replaced my Orbi mesh router after 3 years because of recent constant dropped connections.

So I originally purchased the Nighthawk AC2300 Dual Band Smart WiFi Router. For my home and constantly had issues with disconnecting from the Internet several times a day. And then decided to buy this router and the only negative thing that I can say about it is that I waited too long to get it. Since installing a router I have not had any issues with connectivity and not mention it covers up to 3800 ft.

The set up (from opening this box and unplugging my old router... to having wifi again) was about an hour. It was super easy. And the coverage is fantastic. I needed to cover 4700 sqft on three floors. The main unit is on the first floor, and the other two are on the upper floors. It's seamless wifi. The signal is strong (4 people doing Zoom calls for online classes all day long). Anywhere in the building. Very happy.

A great update for my mesh system. The Google WIFI was alright but it left wondering about speed and latency. The Nest fixed corrected and improved though problems. Speed and coverage improved and latency is virtually gone. The current configuration handles more devices smoother than before. It was easier to install and migrate my devices over with the Nest that it was setting up Google WIFI.

Was almost perfectly easy to set up (the first time, the system got confused between the first and the second mesh point, but then it was fine when I reinstalled the second mesh point), and since then it has been running problem-free, with a consistent signal throughout the house. I just can't give it five stars because it's quite expensive. In other words, at this price, it's fine but I can't say it's exceeding expectations.

I bought this router for my in-laws. I am an Apple ecosystem house, but they have Android and use Google. They needed something simple because they aren't very tech savvy. This router was easy to set up for them. We had a few issues trying to teach Google Assistant each of their voices, but we got it working. They would not have set that feature up on their own. They love being able to play Pandora from the access point using Google Assistant. Previously, they would play it from their Roku TV, but now they don't have to have the TV on, so they're excited to save that electricity. The signal has improved in the corners of their house compared to the signal booster they were using before. The main router is in their office and the access point in the living room (about the center of the house). I also told them if they were worried about Google listening to them throughout the day, there is a switch on the back of the unit to mute the microphone. They did not seem worried about it, though.

I switched from Netgear to an Eero mesh and now finally to Google/Nest. The best. Can't quite match the speeds of the Netgear but way easier to manage and a more seamless room to room handoff. Eero was a pain to troubleshoot. Once I had to reset mine it was never the same, and the range on each Eero unit cannot come close to the Nest units. Nest is easy and it works great with a good price point.

I am using Google products for my home internet and wireless cameras and this was my first mesh attempt. It is working fine and has good coverage for my 3000 sq ft home and my cameras never go out until their batteries die and they are on the fringes of the mesh. Everything inside is great.
