Just make sure you have downloaded the Google Home app to your phone or tablet before you start, and the process pretty much takes care of itself. The Home app guides you through every step of the process. My wi-fi speed has doubled in speed over my old router and I get coverage in areas where I had none before. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering a mesh wi-fi setup.

I am not the most tech savvy person. Also found out today that I cannot have the verizon wifi on along with these mesh routers. I was unaware of this and struggled with having a consistent internet connection from either until I turned the VZ wifi off. They say I still need it though, so I am confused

Posted .Hi there IPad, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you had some difficulty setting up Nest Wifi. Nest Wifi works with Verizon. If the modem and router provided by Verizon are separate, replace the existing router with Nest Wifi to set it up with your Verizon connection. However, if it is a Verizon modem-router combo, you may need to set it up in bridge mode and disable its Wi-Fi functionality. This will avoid any network issues caused by both your combo and your Nest Wifi Router, broadcasting the same SSID and password. You may then connect your Nest Wifi Router to your modem using an Ethernet cable, and then connect your Nest Wifi Points to your Nest Wifi Router wirelessly.
