With my other routers I would have to unplug to rest them at least once a week to make sure they worked. Not with this. I haven’t done that since I purchased them.

Some time it does load very slow even with full wifi bar. One thing it did resolved for me is that i no longer experience wifi signal lost with this device. Google assistant is definely an added bonus.

BUT I WILL SAY THIS, once you got it going after several hours of unhelpful customer service and YouTube videos it worked decently for about a year. Now i find myself having to restart it every other day. And i paid 300 for it, now it's on sale for 70 bucks. Not cool

I have so many problems with 'some' equipment that I will be replacing this system as soon as a WiFi 6e package is available. My biggest issue is actually with other Google products on the Nest WiFi network...Chromecast with Google TV and Stadia both seem to have serious issues with the Nest WiFi system. When I switched to a Roku 4K unit vs. the Chromecast w/Google TV, all of buffering/lag/pixelation/etc ended. And when I took the Chromecast w/Google TV to a friend's house (non-mesh wifi) it worked perfectly. Other things I'm not a huge fan of include the inability to broadcast a 2.4 Ghz network (making it difficult to configure many IoT devices), NordicTrack exercise equipment also experiences serious connectivity / buffering / etc issues on the mesh network...

Great when it worked

For about a month it worked, playing music, telling jokes, controlling devises but then it stopped working. Whenever you’d ask for something it would instruct you to sign into the Google Home app. I’ve tried many things but can’t seem to make it work again. While researching fixes I found that this is a common occurrence and a known problem for google for almost two years. It’s frustrating that this hasn’t been rectified after such a long time. If you’re looking for a WiFi extender these work great, if you’d like to take advantage of its other options look somewhere else.

We appreciate you for sharing your review of Nest Wifi and are sorry to hear of the issue with your Nest Wifi point's Google Assistant feature.
There can be a few reasons why Google Assistant of your Nest Wifi point gives such error. To isolate the issue further, you may try some steps below:
Perform a five minute power cycle:
- Disconnect power from modem.
- Disconnect Ethernet cable and power from your Nest Wifi.
- Leave them all unplugged for five minutes.
- Connect power to modem and allow the modem to power on fully before proceeding. This can take up to two minutes.
- All light indicators should be solid.
- Connect Ethernet cable and power to your Nest Wifi. Wait until it’s fully back online.
You can also perform a factory data reset:
- Look for a circle etched into the bottom. Press and hold the factory reset button at the bottom of your Google Nest Wifi router for 10 seconds. The light will pulse yellow, then turn solid yellow. When the light is solid yellow, release the button. Once the button is released, the light will turn solid white for a brief moment (five seconds), then to a solid orange light.
- Once the light turns to solid orange, this will start the reset process. It can take up to 10 minutes. Do not unplug the power cord during this process.
- When factory reset is complete, the light on your router will turn to a faint solid white light. After a few seconds, it will pulse white.
- Once the Nest Wifi router is pulsing white, it's ready for setup.

Great mesh system

It does lose a little signal strength at the satellite, but still able to stream quickly. Options for cutting your kids Wi-Fi off when they misbehave is a major plus.

I probably will have to call google. I had tv serviceman try to set up the "point" and he was unable to do so and suggested a call to Google.

I used these to replace my cable company router...day and night! No more dead spots or buffering, which were very common with the previous equipment...no matter how many times i called tech service. Great Purchase!!

Replaced an older mesh system that required way more "TLC" to keep it running. This one is so much easier to use and since I have google home everywhere anyway, this makes life so much easier having the google mesh system.

This product does not disappoint! I can use my wifi to the end of my privacy fence which is approx. 3/4 of an acre without buffering!

Not the easiest to set up, or to reconnect devices that were attached to my old wifi system for some reason, but I'm very happy with it. If youve cut the cable, and are streaming, this is what to get.

- Disconnect power from all of your network devices, including your modem and any Nest Wifi devices.
- Reconnect power to your modem only.
- Reconnect power to your Nest Wifi router or primary Nest Wifi point and wait until it's fully on.
- If you continue to have connection issues, you can reset your Nest Wifi devices and set it up again

Great, Versatile Product

We were able to make our 5 and 2.4 Wi-Fi into one thing. This doubles as a speaker too! It also extended our Wi-Fi in a way our previous device was unable to accomplish.

The Linksys would lose wifi and need to be rebooted daily. Since I replaced it with this I haven't had to reboot once. Having reliable wifi is important since I work from home.
