Had to return
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this system to replace Orbi Mesh system. Had issues with Wi-Fi coverage where the Orbi has 100% coverage. Returned due to the cost of adding additional add-on points. Wished that it would have worked as I really liked the features.

It keeps disconnecting!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had horrible experience with this product. It just keeps disconnecting and becomes unavailable. The support is not able to resolve the issue and keeps on going in circles. We have to trash it!

Meh Wifi for a meh price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would work OK in a small house with a simple layout. Adding a last-gen access point to the mesh didn't seems to do much. No Wifi 6 support. Returned it and bought the Asus ZenWifi AX (XT8) instead, which blows this away and is worth every penny.

Worst mesh product to buy...
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A product with decent enough speed, but only has one ethernet port and there is no way to delete or block unknown or old devices no longer in use from the network...

Unable to purchase a replacement AC adapter
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Somehow the AC adapter on one of my mesh routers died but the actual router still works. Attempted to find a replacement AC adapter and found out that they do not sell replacement adapters ANYWHERE.

Can't get it to work with Fios
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sure that this is a good product but I tried for over a month to get it to work with my Verizon Fios but couldn't. It would start to connect but then could not connect. I'm trying to return it.

Latency problems
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you require a fast, stable internet connection, this product is not for you. Latency spikes cause frequent disconnects while gaming and regularly leave you streaming in SD. I’ve since found others who have run into the same problem and Google doesn’t seem to have a solution. The time it took to discover there isn’t a fix for the issue left me one day outside of my return window. I now have a $300 pair of paperweights and have gone back to my old $50 router that far outperforms this poor offering from Google.

Posted .Hi there, thanks for posting a review. We’re sorry to hear that you're having connectivity issues on your Nest Wifi.
For connectivity issues, we recommend trying out some tips below to help isolate the issue:
- As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
- Building materials and other objects located between your Nest Wifi Points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your primary and secondary Points.
- There could be signal interference due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.
We value your feedback, and we want to help you as best as we can. For further assistance, please reach out to our support team through this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Terrible Interference issue with Wireless HT syste
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a premium product but produces subpar results. If you have a wireless home theater system do not buy Google mesh system, as this system network goes down because of interference with the 5.7Ghz band width at which Google Nest and home theater operates. Speeds goes down from 300mbps to 1 or 2 mbps. Complained and demonstrated this to google representative but they cant do anything about it, gave me some lame explanations and not so much helping routine tips, wasted almost $300 on this systema dn now using the router provided by my ISP, which automatically chooses/switches channels and do not interfere with any other wireless devices in my home.

If your mixing with first gen don't
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added these to my first gen. Used the nest wifi router and the hubs. Internet wifi is now spotty. They go offline and support isn't able to do anything. Maybe these work fine by themselves but advertised to be compatible and they aren't very well.

Posted .Hi Mark,
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We´re sorry to hear of the connectivity issue with your Nest Wifi.
Here are some helpful steps you can try to fix the issue:
- Check for Signal interference caused by building materials and other objects located between your router and Nest Wifi points or between your Nest Wifi points and mobile devices may weaken your Wi-Fi signal and slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point. This may also include signal interference as well due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.
- Check for possible congestion with your Wi-Fi network. You may remove some of your connected devices to see if you will get a stable connection. Should you verify congestion, we recommend contacting your Internet service provider for resolution.
- Restarting your modem can fix internet connection problems, improve slow performance and resolve common wireless issues. Even if your modem appears to be working correctly, you may need to restart it to establish a secure connection to the Nest Wifi Point.
We'd love to learn more about your experience and figure out what may be causing the issue should it persist. Our team would love to help improve your experience if you could reach out to us here: https://support.google.com/wifi/contactflow

Posted .Hi nohurboss, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're having connection issues with your Nest Wifi. This is not the type of experience we want you to have, and we're here to help.
We suggest performing a power cycle that might help resolve your concern. Here's how:
- Disconnect the power and Ethernet cable from the primary point and disconnect the power from the modem, leaving unplugged for five minutes before plugging everything back in.
- Ensure that the modem and primary point lights turn off completely when unplugged. Some modems have backup battery packs, so you will need to disconnect the battery packs as well in order to ensure that the modem is completely turned off.
- After five minutes, plug the modem back into power.
- Once all the modem lights are back on, connect the Ethernet cable to the parent point's WAN port and connect the power back to the parent point.
If the issue persists, reach out to our support team and we'll be more than happy to assist you. Contact us here anytime: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Google failed me this time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the original unit two year ago and then for some reason the access point would not connect. Called google multiple time exchange using my bestbuy warranty after manufacturer warranty expired. The new one worked for a week and the same problems started. Called google support and after 3 days of trouble shooting they advise to return the new units and go with a different brand because they couldn't help

Randomly Disconnects every 1-2 hours
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the Google Mesh WiFi router because of its mesh system. Initially it worked fine, but later on the google mesh router randomly started dropping signal. It would drop WiFi and then again reconnect back in 5 minutes. This happened every 1-2 hours. We contacted google support but even they couldn’t do anything about it. I would recommend the Orbi Mesh System rather than google mesh WiFi. They have better reviews

Dies after 15 months. Now out of warranty.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2m ago I suddenly started having issues with the network going down for five or six minutes at a time every twenty minutes. I thought it must be my ISP's modem, so I called them and ran a few little tests. They decided yes, it must be on their end, so they came out. Long story short (too late), it wasn't the modem—it was the Nest WiFi system. Which is now 5 months out of warranty. And now I have to pay a callout fee to my ISP. Not at all pleased—didn't even last 18 months before these issues started, and I'm out $300.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought at Best Buy. The network would drop without reason. Google support was very responsive. Checked router, looked at log, no issue with router or ISP. Something is just not right with this system. I returned to Best Buy.

Terrible, bad quality
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a bad experience to have bought this product, it not only does not work but gives incorrect information. I have 1 Gyga from Xfinity internet, the google home application gives reading of 850 average speed but it is not true while I do the same tests with speed test the reading does not reach 20, I tried to return it after doing all the attempts but At Best buy Sunrise Florida, your store manager Denise and another vice manager Patric do not listen to your "personal" and "business" clients. The answer is to make your complaint to Nest. Do not think to buy this product is a deceit and buy anywhere except Bestbuy

Loses internet connection constantly
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Google nest has been nothing but a headache for the past 4 months. They work great when you first set them up and after a day or maybe a week, the Google Nests constantly lose internet connection. Google this issue and you will find countless forums about this problem and no solutions from Google. I'm very disappointed I spent over $300 on this system and i have to reset\restart daily just to use it.

Absolute garbage
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this system to replace an aging router and needing an extender for the house. Set-up was simple and the system worked great... for a few months. After that it is nothing but the router restarting on it's own when I'm trying to download game updates for Xbox games, trying to download file on my computer, or trying to stream anything. Google tech support is ZERO help. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MESH SYSTEM. Buy the Eero instead.

Mesh Network FTW!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have wanted to get a mesh wifi network for a long time. Since I was already in the Google ecosystem I went with the google version. We have added cameras, smart thermostats and other smart devices to our home. I had issues with cameras keeping a stable connection until I bough the mesh kit. It comes with the router and one access point but you can add as many points as you like! I have 2 points now. The coverage and speed is exceptional. Sometimes one of the wifi points will go offline but it is probably once ever 6-8 weeks if that. A minor inconvenience but, since restarting my network regularly I have not experienced it anymore.
