Good for 200Mbps-300Mbps speed but not more. As usual the theoretical speeds are misleading! Go for a wifi 6 router

internet keeps dropping and getting reduced speeds than what I'm paying for. I'm paying for 400 mb/s and getting around 150 through the router. When I connect directly to modem with Ethernet, i get about 450. All firmware updated. tried turning modem and router off multiple times to allwo them to communicate. tried resetting the router, all with no luck. Going to buy another router

2.4ghz does not work so I couldn't connect older devices. Has USB 2.0 not 3.0. Box doesn't say anything about beaming technology. Will probably do an exchange or refund.

ROUTER NOT UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS

The Netgear AC1200 was purchased to replace a Netgear WNR2000 that had a bug. Netgear offers a free fix, but it requires the purchase of a cord that cost as much as the router. The bug caused the wi-fi to cut out unexpectedly and frequently. The new router has power and reach advantages over the old, but I did not expect it to have the same symptoms as the 3-year old it replaced. I may just have to buy that cord and fix them both and perhaps donate one.

Wifi strength is not very reliable but it gets its work done. When there are too many devices connected to it, like 3, it starts lagging.

Since I got this router I have problems with regular cable and also Netflix. Sometimes it stops and keeps re-booting to 100%.
