I am impressed with this router. It has very high speeds for the most part. I have 6 devices and a Rocky all connected through it and all run very efficiently.

I bought this modem Netgear R6220 last couple days ago. This Wifi work great and easy to set it up. I like my internet is super faster than before i leased comcast modem/wifi router. My speed is 114 mpb and download 12mpb now. Before Comcast modem is 2 or 3 mpb download. I asked the technician replace my modem and still the same problem. and they said they gave a super best modem to me. It was not worthed to pay $8 per month to lease their modem for 18 months.

Works good and does what a dual band Wireless Router should do. The only issue I had was configuring it after initially hooking it up. The Genie app kept showing 404 Not Found error when trying to configure the router with the www.routerlogin.net address. Also after setting my Router to be work in Access Point mode, I wasn't able to get back into my router at all and had to do a factory reset of the router. After a 2nd try I got it all working in AP mode without any issues.

This router is super easy to setup, had a great app called Genie for controlling it, and I'm getting the maximum throughput rate for my internet plan with a simple, inexpensive 8x4 cable modem. Two of my devices were capable of connecting to 5G band and are getting the maximum download speeds and i have an older laptop that is getting good speed on the 2.4 band....worth every penny!

My D-Link router shot craps a few months back. The cable guy recommended a netgear product. Grabbed this on sell for 69.99. Set up was easy as pie. My speed went from 80 mps (speedtest.net) to 134 mps on average. What a difference! Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Only thing I've found wrong with this one in a house is the signal degrades fast of it has any bricks in line of sight.... My fireplaces kill it... So I'm going to have to return and buy a More powerful one but this one seems great for basic homes 3 bedroom or so.

I am getting 100 Mbps second with the 5ghz and 30-50 Mbps second with the 2.4ghz. Love it!
Very nice and easy to set up. I am happy with this routers range and I haven't had any dead spots in my two story home.

Do NOT purchase this for gaming, packet loss!

If you are purchasing this and you do any sort of gaming using Steam, or you use Discord, do NOT purchase this model. Find another one. This model has ingrained issues with packet loss that cause Discord to mute and drop. Player Unknown's Battlegrounds closes your connection every 5-10 minutes without end. I work from home taking support calls and I get disconnected from my company's vpn multiple times a day. I just recently narrowed the issue down to this box, and I'm throwing it out and going for something other than netgear this time. I called them for support and they just wanted to send me another of the same model, they aren't aware of the issues. Steer clear!

Great beginner wifi router

Bottom line, worked reliably with 4-6 devices connected in a two story 2,000sq ft. house.
Bought in Nov 2014. Just replaced with Netgear ac1900. The ac1200 was a great router and worked very well. It covered our 2000 sq foot house: basement, main floor, upstairs. Only reason we replaced is because of number of devices now connecting (10+) has increased greatly in 2 years. the ac1200 is having trouble handling that many devices cutting in to range and speed. When we were simply using with a few iphones and the occasional netflix, occasional xbox game, it worked great for the most part. Will now try to use it as an extender to the new wifi router.

Setup was easy, and it worked well overall for the few months I used it, but I ended up switching back to a Linksys router that I had less problems with when using multiple devices.

These seem to be the most popular routers based on how many are sensed where ever we go. They work great all the time.
