Quick fix for wi-fi issues

I didn't realize anything had changed until my old adapter adapter died after 8 years of faithful service. I picked this adapter simply because I've had good luck with Netgear equipment and it was on sale. I had a couple hiccups installing the driver but easily resolved. It has worked fine since installed though it keeps telling me I'm getting less than peak performance since I don't have a USB 3 port for it.
