USB WiFi

I am not a big fan of WiFi connections, but I bought a new AC router specifically for the streaming bandwidth. The USB WiFi connections from NetGear are good, but do not download the updates. Right after installation, I was able to get online and there were driver updates available that did not work. These do work fine for what my kids need and in conjunction with the new router, streaming video is effortless. I like NetGear.

Wifi adapter, great range

Works great

Plugged it in, downloaded the driver and worked like a charm! With my internet, it runs consistently at 84 mbps (faster than my MacBook Pro!). I bought a cheap wi-fi dongle that I thought would suffice, but it didn't work. If your computer is at a far end of your house or a basement, I would recommend spending the extra on this dongle instead of one of the cheaper sub $20 ones.

Good but could be better.

For the most part, it was a steady connection. I ended up getting a new motherboard that had a built-in Wi-Fi card so I gave this to my father who is having better results. Possible it was my router, but I knocked one star off because of the headache of getting it to work in the first place. The dock it came with was nice.
