Bought this adapter with some apprehension. I started experiencing some network connectivity/speed issues with my desktop. Bought this adapter and it solved my problems. It increased my download/upload speed about 10 times.

Netgear AC1200 Dual Band Wifi USB 3.0 Adapter is amazing when your network has a lot of devices going at the same time and the wifi signal is temperamental.

Item worked as it is supposed and allows me to get 5Ghz connectivity when needed, only downside I had is with connectivity. It would disconnect and reconnect and seemed as a bad connection with my PC's USB 3.0 slots. Other than that I am satisfied.

Works fine, but ended up having to use default Windows 10 drivers instead of the one supplied by Netgear (because it kept on disconnecting and would not reconnect unless the adapter was unplugged and plugged back in).

I love them, makes watching a movie great and the rest of the house can be silent without being bothered by my having the TV volume up and I can hear all the words being spoken, my wife loves them too I am not blasting the sound up so loud.

I purchased a gaming pc only to find it didn't have wifi... one quick trip and the employee told me exactly this product when I told them what I was looking for. Occasionally the product will disconnect but I just take it out and plug it back in.

I bought this as my new house wouldn't accommodate a wired connection to my computer. This has worked flawlessly! It has great reception through several walls and several wireless electronics between it and the router.

Purchased to improve the signal strength to my father's computer. Went from low signal to medium signal. Helped to speed transfer speeds. Installation software didn't work properly the first attempt.

I have been using this Hi-Gain adapter to replace G adapters for older built-in adapters. This has improved the access to my Netgear router, and improved access to the Internet and VPN configurations. I would recommend this product.

We were very happy to find what we needed at Best Buy

The dock it comes with is faulty, it wont work unless its plugged directly in the USB port. It sticks out the side quite a bit, can be caught and ripped out if your not careful. But it works marvelously otherwise, fast long distance connection 24/7.

Who needs a WiFi repeater when you have this? I plug this into my one of my other pc which is located downstairs in the garage far far away from the router, and it works great!

Works great. We needed a new WiFi card for my son’s PC because his new motherboard didn’t have built in and there’s no wall jack in his room.

Disappointing. I spent quite a bit of time doing the research, seemed to have good reviews. Heats up then disconnects. I've used it with two different Win10 systems, does the same thing. Grrrr. USB adapters seem to have a chronic problem.

Its fast and the hardware works great... I just don't like the software. Netgear has never done a great job with their software, and this is no different. It works just doesn't seem to save hidden profiles, so I have to connect manually each time.

Very easy to get started. Perfect internet connectivity no matter where I am inside my home, and even outside when enjoying a nice day sitting on decks, and streaming to laptop. Perfect A+

I bought this for the 5Ghz band. According to the Best Buy associate I should get great connection, speeds, etc. Well.... Not so much. No improvement in speed over my 2.4Ghz adapter. Yes, i have a dual band router (Att Uverse). I would have preferred a wired installation, but the tech didnt want to get dirty in the crawlspace, so I'm stuck with Wifi. This adapter primarily connects on the 2.4Ghz band, you have to go into settings to get it on the 5Ghz band. The 2.4 Ghz was slightly slower on average than my previous adapter. A call to netgear tech support was a fruitless waste of time. All in all, it does work, just not as advertised.

Have owned a dozen adapters over the years & most of them are hit & miss when competing with other wireless signals around my home...works very nicely with my mobile hot spot on my android, very handy when my home WiFi goes down!

Even thought the device was easy to set up, I did not get the performance improvement I expected at remote ends of the house. The improvement in throughput was probably around 8% and I thought I would get somewhere in the neighborhood of 25% improvement.

I have had USB internet before and was skeptical at first for buying another one, but I was proven wrong. This works beyond my expectations and it literally doubled my download speed and my upload speed- would recommend.
