I don't know if we got a faulty unit or not but we could not get this adapter to work on any computer in our house. We downloaded the latest drivers from netgear but it would not recognize the adapter at all.

I spent about 1 hour researching a new wifi adapter and I ended with this item. Came home with the first one only finding it was defective and didn't even turn on after an hour of troubleshooting. Went back to the store and got another one only to find out after 2 hours of troubleshooting that the firmware is terrible for windows 10. The computer wouldn't read the unit at all. If you search any forms you will read the same thing that this is a great wifi adapter for any os besides windows 10. I would just stay away from this brand for poor quality.

Purchased Product in May of 2021. Worked well for 6 or so months. However the connection style makes it prone to bumping and I have almost broken it off a couple of times. It is also now randomly drops my internet connection. Verified it is not the internet on other devices. For the price, I just can't recommend this product. I purchased it out of necessity and I wouldn't do it again.

It worked fine for first 5-6 months then started having drop connection issues. I was expecting it to work better at this price.

Poor stability, but that's endemic to most USB wifi adapters. Works slowly in an emergency, but it's a shame BestBuy doesn't sell internal cards anymore. Avoid if you can.

Cheap quality!!! I bought it couple months ago. Signal lost when I close the app. It takes long time to connect to my wifi.

Did not work well and when it is used it sticks out of the computer so far it catches on things and disconnects

I purchased this item in order to be able to extend my wifi signal to my office in the house. The signal barely improved and I needed to re-synch about 5-6 times.

Did not work very well. Constant disconnect among other issues. Could be the unit I got but who knows.

Could not get PC to recognize this device despite multiple tries. Exchanged product for different brand that works much better.

My Best Buy store treated me very rudely. I tried countless hours with Netgears on line technicians to get it to work, but to no avail. Unfortunately, Best Buy did not take the unit back because it was 18 days after my purchase, and the unit was only guaranteed for 15 days. They couldn't care less! Meanwhile Netgear reports that they are out of the unit I bought, and I'm going to have to accept the next model down as my replacement. Don't expect me to come back ever again!!

I lose connection every hour tried everything and nothing works. I exchanged it thinking it was a defective Adaptor, but still disconnecting a lot. Unstable. Oh and I do have GREAT INTERNET WITH XFINTY. Router in main floor and the adaptor right below in the basement. Tried disconnecting all other devices and still having issues even when it software shows 4 out of 5 bars of signal. Returning the 2nd one and getting something else! STAY AWAY FROM IT!

every time I start my computer this WiFi adapter seemly doesn’t work, it takes 10-15 minutes to establish a connection to my WiFi, and more than half the times it loses that connection. Terrible product would recommend getting a Ethernet cable instead. My return period is over and I’m left with a bad product that barely works and cuts out often. Waste of money.

Very slow connection speed and keeps kicking off line. Will not buy again 2 best buy associates told me it's good, I will not trust them again.

This is the worst - after installed, it keeps jumping back and forth from 2.4 to 5, and I am continually getting "error" signals.

This device only worked for a few days until it stopped working. I tried reinstalling the program and updating it, but nothing works.

Worked great for the first week or so and then it disconnects from internet every 10 mins. Followed the instructions online to help resolve the issue and it did not fix it what so ever. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone who needs a solid connection longer than a month.

The guy that helped me find this didn't seem knowledgeable. It's performance was weak and generally I'm unhappy with my purchase.
