Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

I purchased this item and set it to use for my WiFi products. The unit did work but it kept dropping the WiFi connection continuously. I tried everything from rebooting my router to rebooting this unit. Nothing helped. I threw it away.

I bought hoping to have a wireless connection for my computer. No luck. It would only let me install half way and would freeze. I tried to install and uninstall several times. Read all the reviews, tried very hard to make it happen, no luck.

kept losing connection with my router and I would have to reload the software and let it discover the adapter. The last time the software would not find the adapter. I have 2 other computers using the same router and they do not have a problem.

Worked right out of the box first time. I have Windows 10. This AC adapter gave me a 30MB increase in speed over the N adapter I was using. I'm one floor up and across the house from the Gateway and I'm cranking 88MB speed. The old adapter had two bars of signal strength and this one has 3 to 4 bars of signal strength. The install didn't use the drives on the CD but found newer ones on the net. I'm very pleased with this buy/unit.

Matches my old in-PC Wifi, Wireless N review

    Posted .

I'll start this from the beginning and try and keep it short. I originally had a PCI E WiFi card (that means it plugs in INSIDE the computer) which worked great, never a problem no dropped connections. Well why am i using a USB adapter then? Well for some reason the slot on my motherboard, the only one i could use without effecting anything else (my graphics card mainly) went dead out of no where. So on to USB WiFi adapters which i had not used previously in many many years as they were not nearly as reliable or fast back then. USB WiFi adapters: I bought a Netgear N300, it was one of the cheapest if not the cheapest and it had wireless N which is the fastest band my router supported anyway. Long story short every once in a while it would drop my WiFi connection COMPLETELY, sometimes it would get it back sometimes i would have to literally unplug it and plug it back in. Ridiculous for a modern product to be so terrible at doing one job. For $30, i guess i got burned. *This product. So second time around, i got high end i want all the bells and whistles not necessarily for speed (the N300 was fine speed wise) but for connection reliability. I don't want to deal with dropped connections when my router is a floor below me and literally right below my desktop, in a house mind you, not a concrete bunker. Well, it cost me a bit more but here a little less than a month later i have not had 1 dropped connection. My desktop is on essentially 24/7 as i am on and off it constantly and i am a heavy data user, something in the neighborhood of 250 Gigs a month, seriously. My signal strength is always maxed, my speeds are always great, and my connection is steady. That's all i can ask for. A tip for good connection is to use the included USB 3 cable to keep the adapter away from your computer and preferably away from any other electronics that could cause interference, that is why it's included. *I am using this on wireless N band not AC so keep that in mind in your decision, though I've looked up some reviews after the fact and it compares quite well with it's rivals in most things even on AC.

    Works with Windows 11

Got a new Desktop Computer. Was without WiFi. The Netgear was very easy to install with the provided CD. Very straight forward and no confusion. Runs very well with Windows 11. No connection problems and the speed is very fast (as provided information). It's a little bit more expensive, but if you relay on good connection and speed it's well spend the bucks. The provided Stand helps to bring the Netgear in a goood position. After the installation you can use the Windows 11 connection or use the Netgear Software.

My Router is all the way on the other side of the house and it has no problem picking up a strong signal! i use the adapter for gaming and it serves its purpose very well! I NEVER Lag! It connects to the internet before i can even login to my computer! It is compatible with Windows 10 and The range on the device is exceptional, at this very moment in time it is picking up 10 different networks throughout my neighborhood, if you want a fast and reliable network adapter this one is where its at.

I upgraded from the previous version of this adapter (A6200) . My DL speed went from 230mb w/ the A6200 over USB 2.0 to 347mb w/ A6210 over USB 3.0. I have my adapter paired with a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 and am running Time Warner Cable through a Motorola Surfboard 6183. I get about 350mb DL speed on my wired PC. This adapter is definitely worth the purchase!
