Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. I bought these to use inplace of a wireless repeater that kept loosing its connection. Since I've put these on 2 of my remote desktops (mine and my kids) they've not once failed on me. The speed is awesome. I use my desktop to stream from Netflix, hulu and such to my tvs, all over wireless and the quality remains amazing.

I bought this WiFi adapter for my gaming PC and it works as if I would have wired internet on my pc. It connects to both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz network which I have both. Could not have been more happy with my purchase, even one of the employees said that this is the best and it is very true

This small WiFi Adapter works well in my home office. It easily and consistently finds the signal in this 900 sf space. Space-saving on my desk as it inputs at any USB port on my CPU.

This product is well worth it. I have a connection of 100Mb so my old adapter get about 70 mb which is very annoying. Therefore, I went out and bought this. The result is super awesome. I got full 100Mb just like i got when i plug in my Ethernet

Great WiFi USB Adapter

Works great. Good speeds. Cable is a bit short if you are using this on a computer desktop where the unit is below your desk. I had to purchase another USB cable to extend the reach so as to have the WiFi device at a higher elevation which seems to help with the reception.

I used to be very anti WiFi for my computer and always wanted to be plugged in. I moved to a place where this wasn't possible and decided to get this product. I was amazed that I had lost minimal speed when compared to being plugged in.

Picked up this Wi-Fi adaptor because I didn't have a network port to plug into at home. This one works great and has USB 3.0 capability. It was a quick and painless installation just follow the disk instructions. Would recommend

Works great with MMORPG. Build my PC with no wireless adapter and this works with no lag. Took couple of attempts before my PC recognized the hardware but the instruction is pretty much straightforward. No lags or issues so far.

This thing woke up a 15yr. old laptop that only had a 2.4ghz network PCI card. I could never get over 100mbps download speeds, now it's over 300mbps. Great product & easy install.

My laptop is getting a little older and the internal wi-fi card slowed down. I got this and now I'm pulling a solid 150 mbps (which I pay for in my internet package, but before I could only pull about 10)

Extremely frustrating

After several usage I have become so frustrated with this adapter that I'm switching to a power line device and returning this the same week. I have a been a fan of Net gear equipment for years and have had a flawless experience with them up until this point. However, between this A7000 and the Nighthawk X4S I can no longer recommend their products with any confidence.
With this adapter I have experienced frequent lag spikes and constant WiFi drops. I've run the latest driver, older drivers, the genie software, driver only, turned off power save, etc. I've visited forums and tried every solution out there. Within a 2-3 hour online period, I experience 10-15 significant spikes with at least 3-4 actual drops (while all other devices in the house are functioning normally). The adapter is actually resetting during these drops. Windows (10) indicates that the adapter has reset itself, powers back up, and after 30 seconds to 3 minutes (which can seem like an eternity) has powered back on and reconnected. After doing research, it seems like this is a common issue and none of the described remedies have worked for me. From what I can gather, the adapter is switching between USB 2.0 and 3.0 functionality, effectively power cycling itself. Since switching to a power line adapter I have had zero lag spikes and zero network loss.
As one of the more expensive adapters on the market, I was hoping for a flawless experience until I've run cat cabling throughout my home. In reality, my experience was quite the opposite. I spent more than my fair share of time diagnosing and trying to fix the issue and it's not worth it to me anymore. If you're trying to avoid frustration, please stay clear of this adapter.
I gave this product 2 stars as it will sometimes connect to the network and the adapter and included base is well designed. I am, however, looking forward to get the next Netgear with fixed issues.

I bought this product after reading the reviews and the signal gained from it's power and I find it worked as advertised. The signal strength is perfect and drop is not existant over a wider range.

Step by step instructions were easy to use. Set up in a bedroom for now and works well. The final destination for the computer will be the garage. Hopefully it will function as well there.

Netgear Support in the toilet

I am one of many that has been going round and round with Netgear since the official release of windows 10. I have been running an a6210 usb wifi adapter on Win7 for about 6 months which has worked flawlessly... Until windows 10. I have had to perform 2 complete harddisk wipes and operating system reinstalls in an attempt just to get win 10 to install properly. Only to find out that what netgear claimed was a win10 compatible driver, was horribly just the opposite. I have been round and round with them and others on their forum waiting for an updated driver. I have had it with the lack of support from netgear. All we are getting are workarounds that only partially work. I have an Ethernet cable run across my floor in the meantime just to be able to get online. If you are considering a product from netgear and expect that you are also paying for their support, than look elsewhere. They have had almost a year with win 10 beta to get this to work and now a about 3 weeks witht the official release and all they can do is suggest we modify the properties of the device to try to get it working. I am now pushing for a refund to be able to replace it with another (working) manufacturer's product. This adapter was not cheap!

Bought this to connect my Office computer to my Wi-Fi seeing as my computer is to far from IT closet in my house. Great speeds and great reliability!
