Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

It works

It works. However there are times it won’t kick in and connect to the internet for a good few minutes. Also sometimes the connection doesn’t give me full bars despite only being down the hall from the router.

Issues with Windows 10

Bought this unit for a computer that had Windows 8.1 and it worked great, got crazy download speeds over wifi. Fast forward 8 months, I got a brand new computer with Windows 10 Pro (didn't realize the included wifi card was not 5ghz capable) so installed the A6210 on the new machine and nothing but problems. Constantly drops signals, won't even display available networks... very frustrating. I have to unplug the the A6210, plug it back in and restart my computer. I tried several of the Neatgear drivers, only one would install (second most recent) and that is the one I'm having all these issues with. Just google "netgear a6210 issues with Windows 10" and you'll find plenty of results. In the process of looking for another adapter now, if you have Windows 10 I'd stay away from the Netgear A6210.

It's great when it stays connected but, it disconnects often a lot. It is very frustrating because it will not reconnect unless I unplug the USB and plug it back in and wait 10 seconds. It disconnects often. I could have like a good 10 minute connection and then BAM, DISCONNECTED.

Windows 10 updates BUYER BEWARE

I recently purchased a new gaming computer and unfortunately it didn't have a wifi setup and trying to run a line to the desktop would be a nightmare, so I knew I would need a wifi card or adapter. I ended up with this adapter as the reviews were good and I didn't want to go through the trouble of installing a wifi card.
Right away I knew there was a problem when I tried to install. The disk didn't want to run the program. When I did eventually get it going, I kept getting the message that this particular wifi adapter could not be found in during the system setup. After trying multiple connectors and every option I could think of, I just figured I got a bad egg and took it back and got another.
Same problem. This immediately made me wonder if my new computer was the problem and gave me a few bad moments. I went online to see if maybe anyone else had my problem and found out that LOTS of people have since an update to Windows 10. The Netgear program that comes with this stick is not the standard netgear program but is one that is designed specifically to this stick and IT WILL NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 10 ANYMORE. You can jump through some hoops and get your computer to recognize the stick but it is a bandaid fix that may break at any moment. This has been going on since Aug 2016 from what I have been able to find out.
Netgear has not done anything to resolve the problem as yet and it is 1-31-17. Not impressed and not happy.

Bad software updates

Everytime there was a software update the update would fail and the adaptor would stop working. I had to remove and reinstall from the CD each time. Annoying.

WiFi Failed

It was flawless for about 6 months. It was blazing fast after about 6 months it went dead. I tried to return it but they said they have no record of me buying it. Everytime you purchase something they ask for your phone number. Which is why I do not understand why they have no record of me buying the darn thing.

I bought this last year about mid-summer. I have been having issues with this Wi-Fi USB adapter for about 3 months now, and it just died on me. All sorts of "won't connect" and "no Wi-Fi available to connect to". While one of my kids sits next to me on her phone via Wi-Fi working fine. My system is an off the shelf ibuypower PC running Windows 10. Just saying. I do not recommend.

Horrible product

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Horrible spotty connection. The connection CONSTANTLY drops on a 5 bar wifi network that I have zero problems with when I connect to the network with the laptop. I upgraded to Windows 10 not long after purchasing this and it took HOURS to get this thing up and running, I almost downgraded back to Windows 7 because this is my only source of connection for my desktop. Google "Netgear A6210 problems" before buying this and read through all the problems everyone else is having in the Netgear forums and elsewhere. It completely baffles me how this could get so many 5 star reviews. Also doesn't work "out-of-the-box" for Debian Linux distros, there's apparently workarounds for Linux, but I'm too frustrated with this thing to bother even trying them. My first and last Netgear product.
