I have very little technology education. I had to go to the store and say I need the box that allows wifi in my house. The guy helped me and explained the differences. I brought this home and had it plugged in and running on my computer in a matter of minutes. I havent had any internet trouble since except when there was issues with the provider. This could easily be hung on the wall and has three moveable antennas.

I was dreading having to replace our WiFi router because of the setup nightmares I’d heard from others. This. was. a. breeze!! I can’t believe how easy it was! WIth a quick app download, and following a few simple instructions, all of the devices that were connected to my old router were automatically connected to this one! TVs, security cameras, Alexa ... everything!

This replaces a Netgrear router I bought in July 2014. The 2.4ghz section on it died. Six years for $60 wasn't bad so I went with Netgear again. Set up was easy. Download the Netgear Nighthawk app and follow directions. I had No problems setting up all my WiFi devices and I have a lot. Lights, thermostat, Ring cameras, printers, phones and PCs. Works with all of them. One PC and Eufy camera are connected via cat 6 cables. I have it mounted high on a middle wall in the middle of my 50' X 30' basement rancher and the coverage is excellent everywhere in the house. Better than the last router. Has Simultaneous Dual Band WiFi—2.4 & 5GHz and 3 antennas for what they call "wave shaping" for better signal. It also has a lot of features like being able to share and an external HD via USB. Parental controls, Guest use. See specs for more. One thing I noticed that might annoy some is that the white LEDs on the front are Bright. Too bright. Works well as a nightlight downstairs but on a desk or another location it could be annoying. The last unit had green LEDs that were so dim you could barely see them. From one extreme to the other. At least they aren't Blue! ;-)

purchase as a replacement to a old unit, I had to be in the center of the house to use, now I have coverage into my pool area which is 60 feet from the unit, nice
